Married to the loveless CEO-Chapter 66: Lamb
What the hell was she doing here? Why was she here?
"Who’s the lamb Caleb?" Jace, one of the men asked. His eyes followed Fi’s line of gaze and it landed on Cia.
"Her? Who’s she?" Jace grinned.
"Apparently..." Caleb trails off staring at Fi whose gaze was so focused on Cia.
"Your cousin’s love interest," he continued.
"What? You are kidding right?" Jace turned to Fi. "How is this man in love? How did it happen?" he inquired, finding it hard to believe.
What sort of spell did that woman use on his cousin for this loveless and emotionless man to actually fall for her?
There was no response.
In another group of men seated at the VIP section of the bar/club. The boss in the group just fixated his eyes on Sentencia. His gaze moved to Fi, he found him staring at the woman too.
He has been keeping an eye on Fi for some while now, looking for a way for his syndicate group to outsmart the Lee’s and overthrow them from their high throne as the powerful leaders of all the syndicate group and mafia families of Asteria.
But lately, he noticed that the guy has been busy with some thing else. A woman, this woman, which he seems to be infatuated with. He still can’t believe Fi could let his guard down like that.
He should know falling in love was the greatest weakness of a mafia because your enemies might use it against you, which was exactly what he was going to do.
He beckoned on one of his men.
"Her?" his trusted right hand man inquired. He was shocked when his boss asked him to send for a particular woman drinking at the bar counter.
Why her? There were other more sexy women in the bar, this woman was just a pretty face in geeky glasses and clothes.
"Yes." his boss responded and without question the man proceeded towards Cia.
"Hey, isn’t that Logan’s right hand man?" Jace pointed out and the other duo’s gaze acknowledged it.
"Yes." Caleb responded.
"I didn’t notice he was in the club...hey, I think he’s making a move on Fi’s supposed love interest," Jace chuckled but stopped when he saw the killing glares from Fi.
"What? Why’d he?" Caleb asked.
Cia was a simple person that was supposed to be invisible and uninteresting to the crowd but maybe it was her simplicity that was attracting wolves to her. Because she was like an odd number right now making her the center of attraction.
They watched as the man got to where she was, he beckoned on her and began talking to her. They saw his mixed expression of surprise, embarrassment and mockery when she obviously rejected him.
He began walking away, the trio’s eyes followed him and that was when they discovered that his boss too was in the club and it seems he was the one requesting for Cia.
Fi’s fists clenched, Logan Preston...Heir and currently in charge of the activities of one of the most dangerous and renowned syndicate groups in the country.
"Oh my, Logan is going to catch the fish himself," Jace grinned as Logan stood up to go meet Cia himself. Jace saw the way Fi clenched his fists and if only... just if only glares could kill, Logan Preston would be six feets under.
’This should be fun,’ Jace thought and smiled to the thought.
"Hey," Logan said to Cia when he got to her.
"I told you, I’m not interested in your boss-" Cia cuts herself short when she looked over at where the voice had come from and saw it was another man, the said boss.
"Oh," she voiced.
He smiled at her, forced a smile actually. He already dislikes her as she was about to nag and rant at him like an old granny without even knowing who it was. What does Fi sees in her?
"Hey," he continued.
"Hi," she replied.
"As you can see I came myself which I don’t usually do but because I really like you. You should feel honored to be liked and graced with my gorgeous presence," he stated.
She glanced at him holding back her urge to glare. The man was truly handsome with black hair and bright green eyes but...with just those few words from him, she could tell he was a narcissistic one.
"It really doesn’t matter. You shouldn’t have wasted your time because I’m still going to give you the same answer," she sipped from her drink.
Fi felt like he was going to explode with just the sight of that man with his woman.
"Hey Fi, Fi!" Caleb tried to stop him but was too late as Fi had already stood up and was walking towards them.
"Can I at least get your name? I’m Logan Preston by the way-"
"Didn’t you hear her clearly? Or maybe you’re deaf?" Fi’s voice interrupted him.
They both turned towards Fi. Cia was surprised, she never expected him to be here. Logan smirked, this man was truly in love with this woman. He couldn’t even bear seeing him with his woman, he is so going to enjoy this.
"Fi," Cia voiced.
Fi grabbed her hand; "let’s go,"
But Logan held Cia’s other hand and tugged her back, towards him.
"We weren’t done talking," Logan scoffed at Fi.
"It’s been quite a while Finland Lee," Logan added, a mischievous smirk on his face. Fi just glared at him.
"You know each other?" Cia voiced.
Fi nodded, "Let’s go Cia,"
But then another tug war began.
"Let her go, now! I’m not going to use words again if you don’t," Fi warned, it just made Logan grin more. He knew how much of a hot head this man could be.
He didn’t let go of Cia’s hand.
"Please, let me go," Cia pleaded as she tried to free her hand from his gasp. She didn’t want any trouble.
But Logan was way too stubborn and determined to irk Fi. Fi punched him in the face in the next second and that was all Logan needed, for Fi to attack first.
He punched Fi back and the duo started fighting. Logan’s men proceeded to their boss but were stopped by Fi’s men and cousin, and a brawl began in the club- At least it wasn’t a shoot out.
Some of the bouncers came in, even the owner and the manager of the club all came to rescue the situation, they managed to stop the brawl.
The owner and the manager tried to handle the issue well as it was a sensitive one. Both men were valued VIPs of the club but though they didn’t want to lose them, this could or might ruin their club’s reputation.
"What were you thinking dude?" Caleb reprimanded as usual, when they were all out of the club with Sentencia, not excluded.
"You were never like this! You had a temper, but always acting on impulse? What the f*ck has gotten into you lately?" Caleb continued.
"Love has, man...love has," Jace used it as an opportunity to fool around.
"Don’t you dare patronize me," Fi fumed at Caleb, who just shook his head.
"Fi? You’re bleeding," Cia pointed out. Their eyes all went to Fi, he was bleeding right at his abdomen where he had been shot.
"It’s nothing. Maybe the wound reopened," Fi remarked.
"It’s supposed to be healing by now, you didn’t treat it well after you left me, did you?" she questioned worriedly.
"I did-"
"Come home with me, let me treat your wound," she interrupted.
"No, Cia I’m fine. You have to go now," he replied. The other men just watched the lovebirds exchanging words.
"I can’t just go and leave you bleeding like this," Cia stated.
"I’ll be fine, just go...now," Fi responded.
"I can’t-"
"Go home Cia!" Fi yelled at her and silence followed.
"Go home. I don’t even know why you would be here," he added.
She just stared back at him. She was short of words, she turned around and walked away, not having anything to say.
"That was a little harsh," Jace mentioned. Fi sighed and held his abdomen, it was starting to hurt him.
"Are you okay?" Caleb asked.
"Yes. Let’s follow her," Fi ordered.
"What?!" Jace and Caleb chorused.
Fi turned towards them, "We need to make sure she’s not followed and gets home safely,"
They nodded reluctantly and they did as he ordered. They drove off after making sure Cia got home safely without spotting them.
They arrived at a mansion.
They walked in and a woman in black welcomed him.
"Your father wants to see you," she said, he knows...it was the reason why he came here after all.
He walked over to the study of the mansion where his father was waiting. Without knocking, he opened the door and walked in. Caleb and Jace trailed behind him as they walked in too.
"Finland," a middle aged man acknowledged, he looked like he was in his fifties. Fi was a photocopy of the man, just younger.
The man sat on a arm chair behind a table as he swirled his glass of whiskey.
"Father," Fi responded.
"What is this i’ve been hearing about you going around, starting bar fights like a rebellious teenager?" the man started calmly, his eyes lifted up to gaze at his son.
"And all because of what? A woman...I don’t remember raising you to be this stupid," the man continued.
Fi glanced at Caleb angrily, he didn’t want his father to know about Cia but this fool just had to let his father know.
...
