The instant he regained his focus, he gripped the Firewood Knife with both hands and thrust it upward to block.

The terrifying Wolf Fangs bit down on the Firewood Knife’s blade, producing a metallic clang. At the same time, the Wolf King’s body slammed Cheng Zongyang to the ground.
Cheng Zongyang seized the opportunity. Kicking off forcefully with both legs, a surge of Power flooded his body as he flipped over, pinning the Wolf King beneath him. He used the Firewood Knife to press down on the beast’s jaws with both hands. Ignoring the wolf’s hind legs kicking wildly at him, he raised his own right foot and stomped down hard on the vulnerable area under the Wolf King’s abdomen!
When his first stomp crushed its groin, the Wolf King’s body shuddered violently. Its struggles grew more frantic. Unable to attack with the Firewood Knife jamming its jaws, it could only let out muffled whimpers!
Using all his strength, Cheng Zongyang took advantage of the moment he had the Wolf King pinned to continue his brutal assault on its vitals.
Unable to bear the agony, the Wolf King exploded with strength, suddenly throwing Cheng Zongyang off!
Cheng Zongyang rolled away with the momentum. But when he got up to counter-attack, he saw the Wolf King on the ground, frantically kicking and struggling, whimpering miserably. It tried to get up, but seemed to aggravate the injury to that area and collapsed again.
’So it’s true. That’s the most painful spot, even for an animal!’
Cheng Zongyang paid it no mind. He had nearly been killed by this wolf just moments ago. If it weren’t for the Marketplace Cabin, he would have met his end at the claws of this Exotic Beast Wolf King!
He charged forward again, swinging the Firewood Knife to first cripple the Wolf King’s limbs.
He then entered the cabin and brought out a wooden tub meant for medicinal baths, setting it aside. As the Wolf King howled, unable to fight back, Cheng Zongyang swung the Firewood Knife. With all his might behind the blow, he brought it down and severed the Wolf King’s head!

He pushed the thoughts aside for now. Tossing the Firewood Knife aside, he quickly grabbed the Wolf King, placed it in the wooden tub, and sent it into the Marketplace Cabin.
"Phew!"
Panting, Cheng Zongyang collapsed onto a chair, his heart still pounding with fear.

Creatures with special Abilities, stronger than Fierce Beasts, are called Exotic Beasts.

But while the Black-Horned Python was massive, it hadn’t used any special Abilities like the Wolf King did. So he never considered that it might be an Exotic Beast; the thought had never even crossed his mind.
He never knew that Exotic Beasts existed in this Wilderness World.
’Or could it be that the Black-Horned Python’s Ability hadn’t manifested yet?’
’Perhaps the Snake Pattern Grass was the key for it to evolve and gain a special Ability. Is that why it was so relentless in hunting me down?’
Thinking about it that way, there seemed to be a reason why the Black-Horned Python didn’t use a special Ability.
