Chapter 191 - 191 : A More Powerful Enemy!

Finn frowned and said in a doubtful tone, "And you also saw that before he was taken down, he unleashed his power. The energy was immense. If it weren't for my intervention, you probably wouldn't have been able to bring him down."

"I get what you mean now."

The old patriarch spoke calmly, "The other party's identity and strength are indeed not simple."

"Exactly," Finn said. "So it's better for your Angel Faction to send more personnel to investigate this matter."

"That goes without saying, but as it stands, the overall strength of our Angel Faction is still too weak. We simply don't have the resources," the old patriarch replied, shaking his head with a sigh.

As the patriarch of the Angel Faction, he didn't even have the basic strength to defend their own territory. If word got out, they would be the laughingstock of the multiverse.

"I understand what you mean. It's normal to feel that way. But doesn't your Angel Faction have the Angel Tower? With time, the overall strength will naturally grow."

Finn understood the old man's concerns, so he nodded.

"Don't worry, I have a few plans in mind, but I still need to thank you for your help."

The old patriarch was serious but then smiled faintly. "We plan to interrogate this captive. Maybe we can extract some useful information."

"Are you sure about that?" Finn was stunned. "You better be cautious."

"Don't worry. I have arrangements in place. Nothing will go wrong," the old patriarch said, his face turning serious again. "But there's one thing that worries me. That... thing... it definitely has something to do with the demon faction."

"What?" Finn's expression shifted. He was confused. Could there be another species involved?

"Almost," the patriarch said. "But I will investigate carefully. You needn't worry too much."

"In that case, take care of yourself," Finn said, nodding.

After all, this kind of matter still fell under the jurisdiction of the Angel Faction. If an outsider like him interfered too much, it could have unintended consequences.

"By the way, Finn, there's something else I want to discuss with you."

The patriarch stopped Finn, his expression suddenly serious.

"Go ahead," Finn said slowly, but inwardly he was curious. He genuinely wanted to know what the old man had to say.

The patriarch exhaled slowly and said, "In truth, we have stronger enemies."

"Stronger enemies?" Finn's gaze sharpened. His eyes glinted with intrigue.

For the demon faction, weren't they the strongest? Could there really be something more dangerous?

"Yes," the patriarch replied, looking into the depths of space. "From what I know, there is a race behind the demon faction. This race once conquered multiple species in ancient times. Then, mysteriously, they vanished. But now, we've found traces of their return. We suspect they are making a comeback."

"Then what do you want from me?"

Finn didn't answer directly but posed a question instead. If what the patriarch said was true, the Angel Faction alone wouldn't stand a chance. Still, he had his suspicions...

"When those enemies emerge, I want to ask for your help. But only in critical moments!"

The old patriarch emphasized the final sentence with weight, as though this was a do-or-die scenario.

If they couldn't resist the attack, the Angel Faction could be annihilated.

The patriarch continued, "Although we will deploy our forces in advance, we can't guarantee the enemy won't ally with the demon faction and other hostile groups to assault the God Domain."

"Old man, I'm not your errand boy," Finn said coldly, clearly rejecting the proposition.

Even if it threatened the broader universe, he wasn't about to pay an excessive price.

The patriarch nodded slightly. "Our Angel Faction is prepared to offer you anything in return—access to the Angel Tower, the Beam of Light, or even our full support when you face the mysterious figure in a few months. We will fight by your side."

The offer was substantial.

Finn hesitated after hearing this.

If the Angel Faction truly meant what they said, then perhaps the deal wasn't a bad one.

Especially considering the battle looming on the horizon, the more allies, the better. Numbers mattered.

"In that case, I accept your request."

Finn finally nodded. After thinking it through, he decided to agree.

After all, gaining assistance from the Angel Faction was a strategic advantage.

Not to mention the Angel Tower could help him improve his strength—anyone would be tempted by that kind of power. Even him.

"Thank you! Truly, thank you!"

The old patriarch was visibly relieved. He knew that without help, the Angel Faction wouldn't survive an assault by the allied hostile factions.

"Let's wrap this up," Finn said, glancing at the patriarch. Then he took Wanda's hand, who had remained silent all this time, and walked away with her.

Watching them go, the old patriarch's expression flickered with an unreadable emotion. Then he turned and left as well.

There were still many affairs awaiting him in the Angel Faction.

Later that night.

The moonlight poured over the land, bathing it in silver. A soft breeze brushed past, carrying a refreshing chill that made them feel calm and at ease.

Finn held Wanda's delicate hand tightly as they strolled along a dimly lit path. The area was quiet, almost deserted, but the lights of distant cities shone clearly in the background, adding a layer of serenity to the night.

It felt like the world had paused for a moment.

"Finn, do you think we really have to face those enemies?"

Wanda's voice broke the silence.

Finn didn't answer right away.

He didn't quite understand what she meant, but her concern was clear.

"Yes, we do," he said eventually. "And the enemy we'll be up against in a few months isn't weak. That's why every ally counts."

His gaze turned toward the horizon. His eyes deepened, heavy with thought.

That was the reason he agreed to the patriarch's request.

On one hand, it would allow him to monitor the movements of the demon faction more closely, preventing any damage to the multiverse. On the other, he knew that in the near future, he would need the full strength of the Angel Faction.
