Mated To My Best Friend's Lycan Alpha Brothers-Chapter 391: Bullying The Weak
(Author’s POV)
Nora couldn’t help herself and gasped. She was left awestruck, seeing the University’s majestic and exquisite, castle like frontage.
Red Stone was a long standing, almost two century old university. Over time, it had attained a palatial status amongst academic institutions all around the world. The sheer size and grandeur were one of a kind. It was considered the top institution for education, where only the wealthy and the influential get admission after all.
Nora had only attended a local, girls-only public college in Damona. After returning back to her biological family, she was busy with werewolf training and internship, and afterwards her mental health took a toll, so she hasn’t had the opportunity to get admitted to Kingsterdom yet and have a normal college experience.
"This~ .... Is~ .... So~ ...." Both her hands were covering her mouth, her eyes dilated like a deer, she was mesmerized, totally fascinated as she glanced out of the rear door glass as they got closer and closer to the entrance gate. Though she was now an Everests, still she hadn’t seen anything like this before.
Brave and Dion could only smile, looking at her. They both could feel that she wasn’t feeling herself all morning.
Dion teased her, "What? Do you want to get admission here? So fascinated by the place, hmm. Are you going to ditch the idea of going to Kingsterdom now, huhh?"
"I am just looking," Nora mumbled softly, while her eyes kept gawking at the place. As they were just a few meters away from the gateway, in the corner, they saw some rich, spoiled brats circling in a group, probably they were Red Stone students, making a commotion. They seemed to be bullying someone.
To see the spectacle, a crowd had gathered outside the gate, but none of them was trying to stop them. Was it fear or was it a lack of empathy? Who knows?
Seeing that, Dion offered, "Stop the car. I will take a look at what’s with the noisiness."
"Don’t get involved, Dio," Brave remarked. "This~ .... is a vampire territory. And things are already sensitive as it is —one wrong move, and you know what can happen. And I am sure, with so many people around, they won’t do anything to that person," He gazed at the group once again; his ears were filled with obscene words those brats were spouting. His grip on the steering wheel tightened.
On the other side, Myra came sprinting towards the entrance where the delivery person had asked her to come. From a distance, she could see that a considerable number of people were crowding the gate. With great effort, saying, "Excuse me~ .... Please! Excuse me .... Let me through ...." quite a number of times. She somehow managed to get to the other side.
Her phone chimed once again. She picked it up instantly and asked, "Sir, I am outside. But I can’t seem to find you." She was scanning the surroundings, trying to look for him.
"Ma’am, are you the one in a denim shirt and black jeans?" he asked.
"Umm~ ... yes," Myra looked at her outfit and answered.
"Ma’am .... over here~ ... look to your right. I am on a scooter," the delivery guy said.
Just as Myra tilted her head to her right, a ghost black badge Rolls Royce passed behind her. The car honked twice, signalling the gathering to give way.
Myra took a glance at the vehicle’s back for a brief moment and then walked towards the delivery person to get her package.
After collecting her order and signing for it, she was about to go about her business, but then the flock of ill mannered brats caught her attention. She observed closely and saw Nigel Long, her nemesis, in there as well. She shook her head in disappointment, seeing him cussing out loud.
From where she was standing, she couldn’t quite hear apart from the occasional cursing and villainous laughter.
She turned around and was about to go inside when someone’s hushed words reached her, "Those guys are so malicious. Bullying the poor guy. Tskkk"
"But why are they doing this? Did he get on their bad side?" the other person asked curiously.
"Did you see the trending forum gossip? Apparently, that guy, the one getting bullied, he is from my architecture class. His name is Gavin Jackson. From what I have heard, those brats were saying some inappropriate words about the girl in the post. They were using very derogatory remarks. That guy, he confronted them, tried to talk some sense into them and defended the girl, but instead of feeling ashamed and remorseful, they laughed at him, made fun of him and eventually started picking on him."
"Ohhh gosh~ .... so much for taking up a stand for someone. I really feel for that Gavin guy."
"But what can we do. Although we all have money and influential parents, but even amongst us, some are in a league of their own. Like that guy~ .... you see over there~ .... That champagne hued hair~ .... His name is Nigel Long, and he is the son of one of our university’s trustees, Zara Long. Who would dare to go against him?"
Myra, who was standing just behind them, had been listening to their conversation. When she heard Gavin’s name, she immediately remembered that he was the one she met outside the architecture building when she was with Alaric. Gavin even gave her his personal library card.
By their talk, she could easily tell that Gavin was trying to speak up for her and got on Nigel and his goons’ bad side.
All day, she was trying to ignore this bullshit, thinking it wasn’t a big deal, it would pass if she turned a blind eye to it. It would die down. But now, the water has gone above the head. She couldn’t stand still and see others getting bullied. That too for her sake.
If something were to happen to Gavin, she wouldn’t be able to forgive herself.
Her eyes turned cold as she zeroed them on Nigel and the other bullies as she took determined steps in their direction.

"HAhaHAHAhhaha ... look at his shabby outfit. Where did you even come from, some gutter-like small town place, uhh? Eww~ how distasteful," one of the bullies spoke, their nose wrinkled.
"Check out his greasy hair and those outdated frames as well. Landed straight from a jerkwater place, I tell you. He even reeks like that," another one added, while taking off Gavin’s spectacles. "This charity guy~ .... is being a simp for that wretched bitch. How romantic."
"Give me my glasses back," Gavin spoke, his eyes rimmed red. His voice cracked at the end. But he stubbornly stared at them.
Nigel saw his expression and couldn’t help but chuckle. Then a full blown laughter reverberated, surrounding them. He inched closer to Gavin slowly and placed his hand on his shoulder, "Easy, boy. Don’t stare at me with that murderous gaze. I feel~ .... scared of you. Hailey~ .... Why are you messing with him? Give his glasses back." He feigned innocence.
He then took the frames from the one named Hailey and carefully put them on Gavin’s face, "There you go~ ... your specs. Are you able to see now?"
Gavin didn’t lower his eyes; he just kept on glaring at Nigel. Soon, Nigel’s soft smile changed to something cold, turning almost vicious. His eyes held balefulness in them as he uttered, "I think you are forgetting something, fresher." He mouthed, "Your place~ .... Lower your gaze, won’t you?"
The guy didn’t relent and stood his ground as he said, "I didn’t do anything wrong. It’s you guys~ .... the ones saying those dirty, venomous words about Ms. Miracle. She isn’t that kind of person. The rumours, the gossip, none of them is true about her. I was just trying to~ .... *smackkk*" Before he could finish his words, Hailey gave him a backhanded slap, "Shut up, you filthy rat. Who do you think you are? Are you one of the guys she had managed to seduce? Seeing that you are so adamant about taking her side. Do you know her so well? What ... are you, her admirer or are you one of her many lovers?"
"Makes sense. A dirty pauper guy adoring another charity case. He must be feeling some sort of camaraderie toward that witch," another one added.
"Ms. Miracle isn’t like that," Gavin muttered, with gritted teeth.
"What’s with your Ms. Miracle, Ms. Miracle? What is she? A noble lady or something. Hahha~ .... Ahhhhh~ ... I get you now~ .... You must be getting inspiration from her deeds. Do you want to replicate it on the girls here, huhh," the fourth one spoke as he threw his cigarette and stubbed it out beneath his shoe.
"She is~ ..." Gavin uttered, but was held down. "Won’t you zip it up. Or do you want me to do that for you, huhhh?" Nigel threatened him. Gavin flinched at his words when he saw the lit cigarette in his hand.
He instinctively lowered his head. Nigel seemed to be pleased to see him like that and said, "That’s more like it. You should have done that from the start. Weakling." He patted his cheek forcefully.
"STOP IT, NIGEL," a female voice echoed, catching everyone’s attention.
