Chapter 392: Confrontation With The Goon Gang

(Author’s POV)

"Stop it, Nigel," Myra’s voice echoed, attracting everyone’s attention.

Nigel’s eyes met hers as she gave him a death-like stare. A cruel, sardonic grin appeared on his lips, "Ohhhooo~ .... well~ well~ .... Look, who do we have here. The sensation of our Red Stone. Ruling the trending chart on the campus forum~ .... none other than~ ...." His tone filled with raw sarcasm.

"Ms. Miracle, why are you~ ...." Gavin interrupted, his voice a bit shaky.

"It’s okay. I will handle it," she said to him softly and gave him a reassuring nod.

She stepped forward, right in front of Nigel, her hazels never leaving his sight, "Nigel Long, if you have something to say, why don’t you say it to my face. Leave the uninvolved people aside. Or~ ... are you afraid to confront me, huhh?"

"Hahh~ .... What are you even saying? I~ ... scared of you~ ...?" he pointed at him and then at Myra, "Dream on, charity case. You can just dream on."

"Then why are you picking on him for no particular reason?" Myra questioned.

"You are the one who is trying to be a nosy aunt here. I, my friends and that guy, we were just having a small talk," Nigel spoke casually. "Isn’t it?" He gave Gavin a brief look as the latter gnawed at his lower lip, his eyes trembling.

"Talking? You call that bullshit, talking, Nigel? Do you know what you and your minions are doing is nothing but harassment? If I make a report to the board, you can be suspended, or even worse, expelled from the university." Myra threatened. "Are you still going to continue?"

"Ohhh my god~ .... really? Will I be~ .... will I be expelled? No~ .... no~ .... no~ .... I don’t wanna be, I don’t wanna be expelled or suspended. I don’t want to. Please, Ms. Miracle, pleaseeeeeeee~ ...... don’t do that to us. Please, don’t," saying this, he covered his face and made sniffling sounds, which was followed by a devilish laughter, "Haahhahahhaahha~ .... You are sooo~ ... stupid, Myra Miracle. Damn~ .... hahaha .... gosh, this shit is so funny. I can’t help but laugh," holding his stomach, he burst out laughing.

His goons joined in as well, as Myra glared at each of them with a wary look. Hailey then added, "Sweetie, expulsion, us? Do you really think that if you make a complaint, they will listen to you? Or are you going to run to your sugar daddies for help? Which one? Fabian Stephens? Oswald Mitchell? That Alaric Everests? Or that middle aged man whom you were conversing with before class? Goshhhh~ .... there are so many options to choose from, don’t you think?" She then lowered her voice, her voice barely above a whisper, though it was filled with disgust, "Don’t you know who we are? Who our parents are? They basically run this college. Can you even compete with us? Nobody is going to listen to a nobody, you hobo chick."

She backed away and gave Myra a conceited smirk as she patted her shoulder, "You should better behave and not meddle in our business, gotcha? Otherwise, I don’t mind doing something really bad."

"I don’t care who your parents are. I will report this straight to the Chairperson, and I will be making a separate report to the police. I will even include the threats you have just given me in that as well," Myra was adamant. "You’d better wait and watch."

She took Gavin’s arm and said, "Let’s go inside~ .... they aren’t worth our precious time."

They had only taken two steps when Nigel uttered, provoking, "I think you are so used to living here that you have forgotten your place. Let me burst your bubble, Miracle. Do you think you are getting a scholarship, a rigid one at that, so that you will say anything, and Chairman Larson will believe you? Hahaa~ .... you have taken his usual charity work as some sort of access pass. He is a businessman. You should probably know why people like him get interested in these kinds of things," he scoffed. He said in a whisper that only Myra and Gavin could hear, "For sexual pleasure, of course. Miracle~ .... Miracle~ .... You getting admitted to our prestigious institute is a miracle in itself. So, better stay in your mud-filled lane."

"A man like him and Alaric Everests~ .... doesn’t have time for beggars like you," one of the bullies added. "He is pretty ruthless and won’t think twice before throwing you both out. What will happen to you paupers then, huhhh?"

Myra was enraged to hear their words. She spat back, "Don’t you dare talk about him in that manner. I think you guys see everyone as you yourselves are. But, sorry to break it to you, not everyone is like that, especially Chairman Larson. He is a virtuous and upright person, unlike some unruly beings, who can only create distress and unrest for others. You have nothing but a disease called ’superiority complex.’ Go and make a visit to a good psychiatrist."

Nigel rumpled his hair as he muttered, "Tskkkk~ .... I didn’t want to do it. But you are forcing me to teach you a lesson, Myra Miracle. You keep crossing the boundary."

"Dare to lay a hand on me, and I will make sure you face the consequences of your actions," Myra matched his energy, challenging him. She was really pissed at this point. She had been feeling wronged, and this was the correct time to unleash her anger. She was in no mood to back down. After all, it was an open space, and there were so many witnesses here. If they tried anything funny, Nigel and his friends won’t be able to get out of it so easily, no matter who their parents are or how many connections they have.

Gavin was scared now. He tugged at Myra’s hand and said, his voice barely audible, "Ms. Miracle, don’t stoop to their level."

"Heyyy~ .... greasy boy. What did you just mumble?" Hailey heard bits and pieces of his words and lashed out. "You need a good beating to understand your position." Saying this, she raised her.
