Mated To The Demon Prince-Chapter 89: It’s Just
He stood beside her bed all night as he watched her sleep the entire time. No one could convince him it was okay to lose his precious and beloved human to a mere Elf prince. He came here disguising himself a bit to see who has been grabbing her attention lately.
Now that he had made her forget everything that is linked to Ree-ree— the damned prince thinks he has a chance with the girl he watched grow up, made friends with and convinced her that after him there was no one else that could love her.
Darkness settled on one knee beside her bed again. Hands placed under his chin as he couldn’t take his eyes off her at his grave mistake. This was the wrong time to make the move of wiping all memories of him from her head. Now, she could easily give in to the seduction of a useless prince.
He became worried again which was something he rarely did over anybody. He never even worries this much over the demons he was in-charge of. That tells how special she has managed to be in his dark existence.
His gloved hands slowly cupped one of hers as he stared at her again with a pleading look. He pleaded not to be tempted to show her just how crazy he could be when he is being provoked to a certain level of jealousy he couldn’t take.
It was also amusing when he found out that he couldn’t even bear to see them look at each other talkless of the horrid imagination of touching.
Hell, they would both burn if they should make that move.
He gently began to stroke the loose strands of her hair. Only him is entitled to touch, see, taste and control every fucking part of her.
She was his alone to do as he pleases. He wouldn’t dare try to compete with anyone. He would rather just eliminate them.
Funny how he thought not being selfish and letting her be free from the entanglements of him was the best thing he could do for her in this life. But now that she is this close to falling in-love...he wouldn’t mind stepping on it just to bring her tied down back to him.
No, having feelings for someone else wasn’t part of the conditions he was willing to let her go. He still wanted to be the only person who dwelled in her heart.
He brought his lips so close to her face—his hands tightening around her smaller arms as he placed the softest yet longest kiss on the left side of her cheek.
The only person who keeps her up all night.
The enigma in her dreams.
The only thing that would make sense to her in every life that she lives.
It’s a delightful thing if she clung to him for the rest of her existence.
’’Do you know that what you have for each other isn’t love? It’s plainly just obsession and the worst kind I see not having a future.’’
Darkness turned his head at the annoying presence of God herself in the same room where his precious human slept. Words couldn’t describe the intensity of his darkened gaze on the Moon Goddess. Who was covered in the most shameful cloth ever that was excessively adorned with purple lining and gold. Her hair elaborately done to depict the illusion of her having the whole universe on the palm of her hands.
He still hasn’t understood why she is also so obsessed with him. Ignoring the needs and cries of her so-called beautiful creation to stalk his every move and bother him.
’’It seems like you have a death wish for existing in the same room as her.’’
Ira smiled briefly at the corner of her lips before taking a few steps from the dark and standing at the edge of the bed. Her golden gaze observing the werewolf/ human body that has managed to tie what everybody wanted for themselves innocently to her side. She didn’t do anything to have him so crazy and protective about her.
It was annoying to watch and think about every day.
’’I am just coming to check on how my little experiment is coping in this world you selfishly dragged her into?’’
He slowly rose to his full height.
How could they bear being in the same room after everything that has happened between them?
Ira shamelessly eyed his form from head to toe with burning desire the more he got close to her. Overwhelming her with his beauty and aura. But she fought to maintain herself by hiding under another false smile.
’’What chased you down from your heavenly home to come here and bother us?’’
Ira scoffed with that smile still on her face.
She took a step close to him and Darkness stared down at the hands that rested on his chest. It trailed down before moving up again without his permission.
’’What is obsession over a mere fashion of dust when you can have the love of a God? I can give you everything that you desire and seek in her,’’ She said softly, ending with the call of his name. ’’Since you’ve automatically judged me in your mind because of what I did and has made me your biggest enemy...perhaps you have forgotten that I still told you on that very day that the love we once shared and the strong feelings I have for you remained and burned fervently. Whatever happened between us—that unfortunate yet sad and unfair event that occurred can never change the way I see you. Even if you have degenerated into the furthest unholy creature existing... I still want to want us again.’’
Disgusting.
Shameless.
Darkness growled as he stepped back. Her hands slid from him as she observed him confused.
Wicked and Insensitive.
Those dark midnight orbs of his bled to their original color; blue-red.
The sudden shift in his aura alerted the goddess enough for her to take a step back.
’’You still wanted us back after everything? Is that a reason you planted the idea of sending her to my realm to be torn apart by my demons into the mind of one of your believers?’’ Darkness said with an underlying tone of something that felt sinister and enough to erupt sparks all over one’s spine.
Ira didn’t say a word but observed him. It gained a crazed chuckle from him at her silence.
He should have known that as long as they both exist in this world, his precious human would never be safe.
He looked at her once again in disbelief as she stood before him without a single drop of remorse. His love almost got killed with hell’s whip because of her act! How was he supposed to respond to her sneaky ways to get under his skin the most?
’’You should be happy nothing really serious happened with what you did,’’ Ira moved back the more he inched dangerously close to her. She jumped when he had her backed up to a close wall. Both of his hands fisted hard on the sides of her face as he had her trapped. Blue-red eyes staring hauntingly close, and it made her nervous because she couldn’t predict what he could do to her. ’’Your moon. Your world. And you...’’
Their eyes locked on each other. Her fearful ones bore his vengeful stares. Words were unable to describe the amount of hatred she saw in his diamond gaze so close.
It hurt her so much until a drop of tear slipped down her cheeks, and he didn’t care how knowing this was going to haunt her for the rest of eternity.
It was painful to feel it all around him.
’’...would wish they never pushed me to the wall one more time. I can watch if you play around with the demons or any other entity your sick mind wishes to toy with. But she is off-limits. Not to be tossed around by you. She is mine to do whatever should be done to her. I am the God in her life, not you. She is the only one with wolf skin you and your moon dare not try to control or have any sort of influence over.’’
The silence that occurred between them was intense and cradled with many emotions flying here and there. She only responded with a nasty, teary glare of her own to him, but it was a match to the unadulterated loathing flashing brightly from his gaze.
’’This is your last misstep I would be ignoring, Ira.’’
Ira broke into a sob as more tears streamed down her face. The pain, anger, jealousy and all that was swelling in her messed her until it brought her to tears before him.
’’You were not this protective of me,’’ She sobbed out brokenly, as he remained unfazed by her tears. ’’Probably why I grew so bad to do that to you. And you deserve it. If I get a second chance to do what I did to you, I wouldn’t hesitate to do so all over again.’’
Darkness refused to be fazed by her foolish words. He moved back a few steps from her as he watched her glow similarly to a beaming, blue smoke of energy.
’’I am going to make you regret this.’’ She threatened one last time before casting one last hateful look at his beloved on the bed and disappearing from his view like she wasn’t just there before him.
