Mated To The Demon Prince-Chapter 93: Death
With a move of his hands and quick swirl of his magic, he was able to render the depressing feel and part of the dress into nothing but soothe and ash at the bottom of her feet. The dress on her was transformed into something that he approved. But Evangeline didn’t really care. As long as, she starts to head to the direction of her room so she could rest and gather as much energy as she can for tomorrow’s lesson.
’’Do you like it?’’ Xalith asked after a long moment of silence between them. Eva faked like she was wowed by the glow up on her clothes before nodding her head at him with another insincere smile.
Xalith was proud that she liked his touch on her before offering his hands to her and began to lead them both inside. They were both oblivious to the pair of darkened gaze that followed them both as they disappeared back inside. He moved from where he was to pick up what was remaining of his dress he gifted to the one he had great affection for, and he could not believe to have it rejected by her in this way.

She was up and ready one morning and joined Andrea, Lucy, and Bella on their way out for their next lesson. She edged closer to them to share in their anxiety for today’s lesson. Bella and Lucy dreaded and looked forward to today’s meeting with a particular instructor she has come to know has been the reason for their many wet dreams. She usually zoned out whenever they get to detail about their lewd dreams about him to Andrea who would listen and indulge in their foolishness. She has given up many times to wake them up of the impossibility of their dreams ever coming true, but they would both bash her for being insensitive and discouraging.
Romance between a student and a brooding, dark and intimidating instructor who did a good job to give the impression that they were all meaningless to him and has had so far zero interaction with anyone staying here.
This was their first lesson with him, and it was only normal to want to overthink everything. Prince Xalith and the others joined them on their way out, and he was quick as usual to plant himself beside her before anyone did.
’’How was your night, your highness?’’ He asked while reaching for her hand and intertwining it with hers. Eva stared down at their joined hands as they moved behind the rest for the longest time, and wondered if this would ever stop.
’’It was fine. How about you?’’
A boyish grin overtook his face as he blessed her with a complete view of his fine looks and replied, ’’Thank you for asking, your highness. I slept well, too.’’
She nodded at him when he refused to take his eyes off her as they stepped out and moved to the place they were told they would be meeting with him for their early morning training session with him.
They all paused in their tracks at what has been prepared before them. Straw-like dummies were arranged side by side on a two long straight line. And at the end of the aisle between the dummies, there was a raised platform at the bottom of a high board set up with a big red dot in the middle. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
Everyone looked at each other confused and fearing what this was about.
Their hands were separated by him when he appeared from nowhere and decided to walk in-between.
Everyone eyes followed him as he went straight to the dummies, not sparing any of them a glance as he frowned like he was the reason for all the terrible things happening in this world.
His act and the surrounding tense air around him had their heartbeat picking up a fast pace. Even Bella and Lucy that have developed wild fantasies about him looked genuinely tensed by the aura he gave.
They all made sure to put as much distance as possible between them as they followed behind him towards the dummies he must have prepared for them.
They all stood sideways of each other when he finally turned around to acknowledge them the closet they got to the huge, scary dummies that were as tall as he was. Sharp, dangerous spikes were dripping with something funny that resembled black oil, and the small burning heat it precipitated had everyone gulping in fear.
They all turned their heads at him, and he looked the least fazed person in the world by their reaction. An unbothered look fueled by hidden anger resting on his god-like features.
Eva blinked multiple times when he overwhelmed her the most with that look, and she tried to avoid eye contact with him as much as possible.
It was weird being disliked by someone you were just meeting for the first time. But either way, her main priority presently was to make it out of this creepy lesson alive, than to care about why a stranger was dead mad at her.
’’I am not interested in your names or to know who you all believe you are. Each of you would take turns to avoid getting injured by those dangerous looking spikes oiled nicely with venom to hit that big, red mark up there. Think of these dummies as the demons you are all groomed to behead one day and those spikes poking out of each of their body are their weapons they aim to use to destroy your every being. You are currently defenceless and all your battle mates have all perished, and you need to make it back home alive while striving not to get killed on your cowardly run back home.’’
No one said anything or dared to breathe as they all stared at him in horror. Some thought he was joking, and majority wondered how the Alpha King got a psychopath to train them.
’’You get wounded by one of the dummies. You die.’’
Evangeline bet he meant that literarily.
Everyone agreed within them that this was ridiculous, but were all too scared to say something about it.
Evangeline’s heart was racing a mile in her chest as she stared at the obstacle course of death this enigma wickedly prepared for them all.
’’Is this...some kind of joke?’’ Prince Xalith was the one bold enough to speak their minds about this. Terror also flashing deep within his beautiful green eyes as he made eye contact with the devil himself.
Darkness didn’t say anything but gaze at his second target in crazed amusement.
’’Since you see it that way, why don’t you be the first to make me laugh?’’
