MIGHT AS WELL BE OP-Chapter 1001: Long Lost Cousin
"But I agree, it is time we started the next round of the spar," Anthony spoke again, his gaze turning toward Klaus yet again as he finished speaking to Aaaninja.
Klaus, hearing Anthony’s words, simply shook his head with an amused smile, clearly entertained by the younger generation’s enthusiasm. Amara remained silent, as she was simply here to watch and enjoy the unfolding spectacle. She had nothing to do anyway, her days of searching endlessly for something that would help with Vega’s bloodline awakening were long over, so there were no more Galactical tours, no more wars with various Empires, and no more skirmishes with Civilizations in desperate search of a solution that might help her daughter.
Now... she was a stay at home mother... how amusing and surreal. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
Well, she and Klaus were basically stay at home parents... more accurately, stay at home overpowered parents. It was not every day they got to enjoy displays like these, where individuals with such terrifying potential clashed freely.
"Hmmm... every battle until now has been absolute cinema," Veronica began to speak with a bright smile, "I wonder which people are fighting next, I cannot wait," her voice filled unmistakably with excitement and anticipation.
"There is no need to think too much about it, the battle will be between Null Anthony and Aura Nova," Vega stated calmly from the side, her purple eyes shifting toward Aura Nova, who sat beside her in composed silence.
Aura Nova said nothing, she simply smiled faintly at those words, as she too had already arrived at the same inevitable conclusion long before Vega spoke it aloud.
"Huh? Why do you say so?" Veronica asked curiously as she stared at Vega, clearly intrigued by her certainty.
But before Vega could reply, Altheria spoke, "is it not obvious?" She asked as she paused briefly, her question entirely rhetorical, "Lucian and Aaaninja are not going to fight next, as they had just finished their own spars, meaning the next battle must be between Null Anthony, Aura Nova, and Sky Kingsley," she explained calmly with one leg crossed elegantly over the other, "but Aura Nova and Sky Kingsley have already fought, the both of them had the opening match, meaning, this match can only be between Null Anthony and Aura Nova."
Veronica remained quiet for a moment as she processed the explanation, then simply nodded in understanding, her excitement rising even further, after all, where else could she ever find and witness battles of this magnitude without worrying about safety, destruction, or unintended consequences.
Aura Nova remained silent, her sky-blue eyes brimming with anticipation and quiet determination. Although it might have already been established that she would likely lose to Anthony, it did nothing to diminish her confidence or willingness to fight, just because Anthony had established himself as the strongest individual present did not mean she would avoid the spar between them.
She wanted to personally witness what Anthony was capable of, although she had already seen glimpses of his power during his battles with Sky Kingsley and Lucian Darkheart, witnessing something from afar and experiencing it firsthand were two completely different realities.
Her sky-blue eyes shifted toward Anthony’s direction, but Anthony did not glance back at her, he was currently engaged in conversation with Lucian Darkheart and Aaaninja, the trio discussing something that they claimed "women" would not understand, their expressions relaxed and casual.
"I have always wondered, are you a long-lost sibling or cousin of Anthony’s?" Vega could not help but ask curiously, "after all, you both have the exact same sky-blue eyes," she added thoughtfully.
Aura Nova could not help but laugh softly at those words, although she had seen many individuals with various shades of blue pupils, her own had always been... different, unique in a way that was difficult to describe, and only Anthony possessed the exact same shade and brilliance, and Mitchelle, from whom Anthony had inherited those eyes.
"If I was, I would probably be more powerful than I currently am, after all, Anthony is only twenty and he is already this powerful," Aura Nova replied with a faint shake of her head, by that logic, if she truly were Anthony’s elder sister, she should logically be even more powerful than him.
"Well, that would be true," Altheria replied calmly, her gaze shifting toward Michael, Mitchelle, and Collins, who were seated with indifferent expressions. Her thoughts churned deeply as she wondered what kind of power and bloodline this Null family possessed to give birth to such monstrous existences.
’I wonder who their founding ancestor was,’ she thought to herself, as families this overwhelmingly powerful usually originated from a single source, either a founding man or woman who was already devastatingly strong, and everyone else merely inherited fragments of that overwhelming legacy.
This particular thought that Altheria was having, even Anthony himself had never entertained, as nothing about some unknown founding ancestor concerned him in the slightest. Only extremely ancient families with countless branches cared about such things, certainly not the Null family, whose power existed firmly in the present with just five family members.
Klaus snapped his fingers, and as usual, the holographic screen appeared before him, instantly drawing everyone’s attention. Although they could already guess who was fighting next, they still followed the established procedure and allowed the screen to fulfill its purpose.
The numbers one to five appeared and began to shuffle rapidly, this time, there was no anticipation or suspense, as everyone already knew the inevitable outcome, and as expected, it eventually stopped on two numbers.
One versus Four.
Anthony’s sky-blue eyes finally turned toward Aura Nova, and a faint smile appeared on both of their faces, and in a single blip, they vanished from their respective seats as they appeared on the wasteland below. Klaus did not hesitate, with another snap of his fingers, a separate realm was created instantly in real time, as Aaaninja and Lucian had practically destroyed the previous battlefield entirely.
"So, it seems your purpose for coming to this meeting has already been fulfilled," Anthony spoke calmly as he stood a few meters away from Aura Nova, his posture relaxed and composed.
Aura Nova smirked faintly, her battle intent rising steadily and visibly, indeed her purpose for coming to the Galactical meeting was to meet Anthony, Aaaninja, and Lucian, and now, Anthony, her primary objective, was standing directly before her.
"Hoooo... I thought maybe you would give me the same offer you gave Kingsley, and educate me like Lucian had," she joked lightly as she stared at him with unwavering focus.
"If you want me to teach you, all you have to do is ask, and I will obviously decline," Anthony replied in a joking tone, his expression calm yet confident.
"Begin," Klaus’s voice cut through their exchange effortlessly, as though he could not be bothered with their casual conversation, he simply wanted to witness the inevitable clash of overwhelming abilities and world-shattering power.
The moment Klaus’s voice echoed across the realm, Aura Nova moved without hesitation, as there was no reason to delay any longer, she crossed the distance between herself and Anthony in the blink of an eye, her movement instantaneous and decisive.
