MIGHT AS WELL BE OP-Chapter 1035: Perfect Clones
Seeing Kingsley step into space and leave, Vega turned to Anthony and asked, "So, why do you look like you were in a hurry?" She was curious; Anthony had practically waved goodbye to everyone and vanished with her and Kingsley as though he needed to handle something immediately, something that couldn’t wait even a moment longer.
Anthony arched an eyebrow at her question as he replied, "Oh, that, it was because of you," his tone calm, yet carrying a hint of amusement as though the answer was obvious to the both of them.
"Because of me?" Vega asked, confused, her brows knitting slightly as she tried to understand what he meant.
"Although you could hide it from others, I can see the Mana pouring into your core and through your body in real time. Your three Perfect Clones that were cultivating in your place have sent over their Mana ranks; hence, it’s building up within you," Anthony stated calmly as his sky-blue eyes met Vega’s purple ones, his gaze steady and calm.
It was now Vega’s turn to arch an eyebrow as she asked, "How did you know?" even though a part of her already knew the answer, she still asked out of habit.
Anthony shook his head as he replied, "Please, the ’All’ that exists within the name ’All Seeing Eyes’ exists for a reason," a faint smile resting on his lips as he spoke with quiet confidence.
Vega simply sighed and shook her head. Of course, she knew about Anthony’s All Seeing Eyes, as Anthony didn’t hide any of his abilities from her aside from his system and the secret about his reincarnation.
Whenever he used an ability or skill and Vega asked about it, he simply told her without hiding anything. Vega could only sigh in envy at Anthony’s All Seeing Eyes, as even her Eyes Of The Universe seemed to pale before it. The last time Anthony had listed the skills under this particular ocular ability, it had left her utterly exasperated, almost speechless.
"You can sit down now and proceed in peace," Anthony stated with a smile as he turned and walked towards the bed within the room. He sat down and stared at her, his posture relaxed yet attentive.
About what Kingsley had said about passionate lovemaking, he had been utterly wrong, but Anthony didn’t bother to correct him. There were far more important matters at hand than addressing a harmless assumption.
Vega sighed again and lowered herself to the floor as she sat in a lotus position, her movements smooth and controlled. She didn’t need a training chamber or a room filled with immense pure Mana; she was accepting the Mana her clones sent and stabilizing it, nothing more, nothing less.
With that, she closed her eyes and began to work, her breathing slowing as her focus deepened.
This was one of her innate abilities, a clone that cultivated in her stead and sent the feedback to her, hence allowing her to progress in Mana ranks without practically doing anything. But after her birthday, which included the Bloodline Awakening event, this particular ability had evolved and allowed her to now have three clones instead of one, a massive leap in efficiency.
Now, with these three Perfect Clones training and sending her feedback in real time, she needed time to herself to properly process everything. In the past, when it was just a single clone, she didn’t need to do anything, or rather, it was simply easier to stabilize as she had done so uncountable times before without any issue.
But this was the first time she was receiving feedback from three clones simultaneously. One or two more times, and she wouldn’t need to concentrate to stabilize the feedback; at that point, she would be able to do it in her sleep if she wanted, just like she had done in the past with a single clone.
Mana didn’t roar around her, no, the Mana was from within. Although it flowed with intense force within her body, the Mana within Anthony’s room seemed to react, humming softly as though it too could sense what was happening to Vega, resonating faintly with her internal flow.
Anthony didn’t speak, his eyes remained on his girlfriend. Although he was certain she didn’t need his help, he remained vigilant, ready to act the moment he sensed anything out of place, his awareness quietly spread across the room.
Time flew as seconds changed into minutes, and after half an hour, the Mana flooding into Vega’s core began to calm. She didn’t open her eyes just yet; she remained as she was, fully immersed in the sensation, as she could feel her body strengthening in real time, her senses sharpening, every cell in her body vibrating in jubilee and excitement.
Her eyes snapped open, her purple irises gracing the world once more with their beauty. A smile appeared on her lips as she accessed her new Mana Rank, her consciousness brushing against the newfound height she had reached. She had almost never experienced such a jump in power... well, aside from the Bloodline Awakening.
At this moment, she had climbed to the Dominion Mana Rank; she was now at Level 9, standing firmly at its peak, her aura stable and complete.
She was simply a step away from the Apexus Mana Rank, a step away from reaching the rank Aaaninja had just attained, a step away from reaching Anthony himself, yet that single step felt like an insurmountable distance.
Although she knew it was just a step away, she wasn’t an idiot. She knew that the difference between a peak Dominion Mana Ranker and an Apexus Mana Ranker was infinite. It felt as though she couldn’t just cultivate into the Apexus Mana Rank; it was as though some form of opportunity, some form of trigger, was needed.
Although she didn’t know exactly how strong Aaaninja had become, her Eyes Of The Universe showed her death whenever she looked at him, informing her that that man now stood on an entirely different plane of power, one she could not yet reach.
But she wasn’t in a rush. With her talent, the Apexus Mana Rank was simply another Mana Rank, and she had no doubt she would get there eventually. Besides, her three Perfect Clones were already cultivating toward that goal without pause. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
As for how she had managed to break through so quickly, it was simply because she was within Anthony’s Divine Realm. With the Time Shard Aaaninja had once sent to Anthony, Anthony had acquired more from the system, thereby aiding Vega’s Perfect Clones to cultivate within a drastically shortened duration of time, accelerating progress to an extreme degree.
Vega stood from where she sat, her movements slow and deliberate. She didn’t turn to Anthony, nor did she speak to him; at this moment, she was going through every change she had experienced, whether physical, mental, or within any of her skills.
After all, during breakthroughs, some skills also advanced, although this wasn’t a constant occurrence; it depended on various criteria, conditions, and compatibility.
Only Lucian Darkheart had this as a constant, as every breakthrough in Mana Rank meant an evolution in all copied skills and abilities, a terrifying advantage that set him apart even among monsters.
