Miracle Farmer with Special Abilities-Chapter 719 - 0: Bad Luck for Eight Generations_1
Zhang Bin certainly wouldn't be polite to a con artist. The last time they met, he had let the man off easy, not beating him half to death but merely tricking him into leaving. Unexpectedly, the guy hadn't learned his lesson and had even shown up at Jiang Liwen's home. That so-called Uncle Huang was part of his crew, aiming to swindle the Jiang Family's fortune and win over the beautiful daughter. Now, he dared to act so arrogantly in front of Zhang Bin? He was truly courting death.
Seeing how powerful Zhang Bin was, all the security guards were stunned. A flicker of fear crossed Uncle Huang's face.
However, how could he just give up? After spending three years getting to know Father Jiang, he had finally established this relationship. He was finally at the stage where he could reap the rewards. But now, another con artist from their line of work had stepped in, pretending to be their expert, Chiang Bin, and hijacking the whole operation. How could he tolerate that?
He blustered, "Kid, don't think you can do whatever you want just because you can fight. The game is up! You'd better come clean. Who are you? Why are you impersonating someone to commit fraud?"
Father Jiang and Mother Jiang also glared at Zhang Bin, their faces full of anger.
Only Jiang Liwen looked completely bewildered. Even now, she still couldn't believe that Zhang Bin, a youth so brimming with talent and charisma, would need to impersonate someone to swindle her family's wealth. If he wanted to cheat them, he could just use his own identity; she wouldn't have been able to resist him at all.
Zhang Bin simply ignored the old swindler. Instead, he fixed his gaze on Jiang Liwen's face and feigned a puzzled expression. "Liwen, what's going on? Can you please tell me? I'm still completely in the dark."
"Fine," Jiang Liwen said coldly. "Then let me ask you, what is your name?"
"My name is Zhang Bin," he said. "It's the same name as the King of Gamblers Zhang Bin and the Divine Doctor Zhang Bin. Didn't you call out my name the first time we met? You must have met me at a party somewhere, right?"
"What? Your name is Zhang Bin? Not Chiang Bin?" Jiang Liwen was taken aback, an absurd expression on her face. Could this really be such a colossal mix-up?
Flustered and angry, she demanded, "Then why did you answer when I called you Chiang Bin? You weren't doing it on purpose, were you?"
"I thought you were speaking in a dialect," Zhang Bin said, feigning astonishment. "Where I'm from, 'Zhang Bin' is pronounced just like 'Chiang Bin'."
"Er..." Jiang Liwen touched her forehead, at a loss for words. What Zhang Bin said was true; several dialects did have that pronunciation. His misunderstanding was plausible, but the coincidence was just too much. A faint blush crept up her cheeks as she pouted playfully. "What were you doing there that day? You weren't there for a blind date, were you?"
"A friend set me up with someone. We agreed to meet there. Wasn't it you?" Zhang Bin asked, acting incredibly surprised.
"No, you're mistaken. My blind date wasn't with you, it was with someone else," Jiang Liwen said, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.
"But isn't this fate?" Zhang Bin said with a grin. "I'm very happy with you, and you're happy with me. Thank heavens."
"Perhaps this really is fate," Jiang Liwen murmured, her face beet red.
Clearly, she was willing to let this mistake continue and just keep dating Zhang Bin. For a youth with such overflowing talent and charisma, she wouldn't mind even if he had no wealth or family background. With his abilities, making money would be a breeze.
Father Jiang and Mother Jiang exchanged glances, their faces a picture of absurdity. Still, they also had a good impression of Zhang Bin. The young man was handsome and carried himself with an extraordinary air. Most importantly, he was powerful. He had effortlessly defeated Chiang Bin, the man Uncle Huang had boasted was practically unrivaled. He seemed far superior to Chiang Bin.
Meanwhile, Uncle Huang was so furious he could have spat blood.
His face caked with dirt and his hair a tangled mess, Chiang Bin scrambled to his feet, absolutely livid. He stormed forward and roared, "You fraud! Don't even think you'll get away with this. Today, I'm going to expose you!"
"Expose me? Why don't you start by telling us who you are?" A wicked smile spread across Zhang Bin's face as he looked at the man as if he were an idiot.
"Listen up, kid! I'm Chiang Bin, from the Overseas Chiang Family. Our family is one of the most powerful in America. A single stomp of our foot can make the whole world tremble! I came back to the country for a blind date. You dare to ruin my plans? You dare to trick the woman I was supposed to meet? You're courting death!" Chiang Bin declared with immense bravado.
Without waiting for Zhang Bin to respond, he turned to Jiang Liwen. "Miss Jiang, that day, he had someone call me, imitating your voice and saying you were busy. Then he pretended to be me for the blind date. As for his name, Zhang Bin, he chose that on purpose. Tell me, did you call me that day?"
"I didn't call you that day," Jiang Liwen said, startled, a deep look of confusion on her face. Clearly, she was also realizing something was very wrong.
"He's a massive fraud! Call the police! Arrest him!" Uncle Huang roared.
Their con artist instincts told them Zhang Bin must have manipulated the situation. Now, with Jiang Liwen's confirmation, their confidence surged. How could they let someone hijack the elaborate trap they had set? They had to expose Zhang Bin to continue their scam.
"Hahaha..." Zhang Bin roared with laughter, a mocking expression on his face. "So you're the real con artists. Aren't you Zong Deshui and Pang Wushi, the wanted swindlers? You've scammed over a dozen wealthy, beautiful women, getting away with both their money and their virtue. The police have been hunting you for years. You fled to America for a while and now you have the gall to pose as members of the American Chiang Family? How absolutely hilarious!"
The two swindlers were completely dumbfounded, and fear flashed across their faces. Beads of sweat the size of soybeans popped out on their foreheads.
"Uncle Huang, you... you're not really that Zong Deshui, are you?" Father Jiang's face turned pale as he stammered in panic.
"No... no... we have to go..." The two of them immediately tried to flee.
With their identities exposed, the consequences were unthinkable. Their only option was to escape. They had no time to figure out how this young man had uncovered their past.
"You think you can just leave? Not a chance," Zhang Bin sneered. With two swift kicks, he sent the con artists sprawling to the ground. They lay there, completely immobilized.
"Heh heh..." With a wicked smirk, Zhang Bin reached out and ripped high-tech, human-skin masks, complete with hair, from their faces.
Their true identities were revealed. It was, indeed, the notorious pair of swindlers.
"Oh my god..."
The faces of the three Jiang Family members turned deathly pale. All the security guards were so shocked they nearly went into a daze, unable to believe their own eyes.
The two con artists, however, were scared out of their wits. What a disaster! Running into a youth like him was the worst luck of their lives.
