In a desperate move, Hos managed to detonate his Earth Armor and temporarily escape from Li Yao’s relentless assault. Landing back on the ground, he quickly gulped down a Red Potion, which slightly boosted his health.
Normally, fighters in the ring wouldn’t resort to health potions. But Hoss had no other option — he couldn’t afford to lose.
Even though he had little knowledge about the Vampires, he realized that Li Yao, in his blood-boiling state, was going to be even more formidable. In his current half-health state, another continuous assault would leave him utterly defeated.
As the son of a general and successor to the greatest warrior among the Lizardmen, he was responsible for overseeing this region. Failure was unacceptable.
Hos could not comprehend what was happening. In the 900+ battles that he had fought before, he had always won effortlessly. Only few contenders ever put up a challenge worth his attention.
But why was there suddenly this freak of an opponent? Hos was disoriented. He could no longer fathom Li Yao’s ability. His shift in classes due to transformation made him even more unpredictable. Would it be a tournament if Li Yao fought in his original class?
His spirit faltered at the mere thought of it. If he continued to dwell on it, he feared he might lose his willingness to fight. Nonetheless, the Shaman Priest understood all too well: the moment Hos resorted to the Red Potion, his spirit had already crumbled. It was just his pride that refused to acknowledge this defeat.
Both the crowd of Lizardmen and the human players were left dumbstruck. Initially, they had assumed Li Yao to be strong but not potentially victorious.
But now, what were they witnessing? Li Yao possessing a genuine chance of winning left the Lizardmen baffled. Hos had always been ferocious in battles with both the Lizardmen and humans — often dominating combat. Yet, how was it possible that he was now so powerless against this Vampire? Could it be that the young general was exhausted?
They had no choice but to think so. Otherwise, how could the young general fail to beat a mere human?
“I don’t believe this! Let’s continue!” Hos roared in fury.
He activated Shadow of the Earth, creating three clones of himself. This time, he didn’t unleash the same move as before. Instead, he swirled his War Axe frantically around his body.
War Realm!
Li Yao tried to transform into a bat and fly out, but no sooner had he transformed when he was hit by a brilliant flash of blood-red light, forcing him to revert to his original form.
“You can’t escape. In my realm, there is no retreat,” said Hos, as a hint of madness sparked in his eyes. Unleashing War Realm caused his rage to burn hotter. If he didn’t hit Li Yao within the next five seconds, his War Realm would vanish completely.
“Are we not just trying to face-off forcefully? Are you scared?” As soon as Li Yao landed, he set off with the flapping of his wings, like a passing Blood Shadow.
He dashed directly towards one of the Hos’s clones. Li Yao had no intention of bearing the brunt of simultaneous attacks from all three copies of Hos.
Swish swish swish…
Everyone watched as a myriad of bloody claw shadows sprang up in front of Li Yao, fiercely striking the revolving War Axe.

The clashing sounds of metal were nearly ear-piercing, as the repeated impacts produced numerous sparks.
The crowd watched in shock. With this move, Hos eliminated all possible routes for Li Yao’s evasion, leaving him no choice but to face the assault head on. On the Lizardmen’s side, there was an outburst of cheer. On the other hand, the human side was filled with a look of disappointment.
They had finally seen a glimpse of victory, only to have their hopes shattered in an instant.
However, within less than two seconds, they gazed in disbelief at the dual combatants.
With each explosive clash, both fighters’ health levels rapidly descended. Because their weapons were clashing, the shock damage was much lower than usual. Nonetheless, their health continued to plummet rapidly.
What was even more frustrating for Hos was that Li Yao’s health would drop, then recover, then drop again, then recover again. Li Yao’s health barely decreased once it reached two-thirds, yet Hos’s health kept decreasing rapidly.
“What kind of monster are you? Even Vampires don’t have such terrifying blood-sucking abilities,” Hos seethed. As Li Yao attacked, he kept circling around him, rendering his two other clones incapable of landing any hits on Li Yao.
Hos had hoped that his three clones could attack Li Yao simultaneously, killing him instantly, but Li Yao always managed a sidestep, or even a just step that kept his clones feel out of reach.
After a stalemate of ten seconds, Hos’s health finally dropped to one-third. What was worse, though the duration of his tornado skill had increased due to its high level, ten seconds had already reached its limit.
If he lost the rapid attack frequency of the tornado, it would be next to impossible to defend against Li Yao’s onslaught of claw shadows with his clumsy double-handed battle axe.
Li Yao’s attacks were just too terrifying. If he was struck by Li Yao in his blood-boiling state, he was certainly done for.
“Running away? Too late.” Li Yao no longer felt like playing games.
“Damn it, monster.” In an instant, Hos transformed into a Lizard. His other two clones had already disappeared several seconds ago. This whirlwind slash state helped him resist the weakening period. He had seen Li Yao use continuous moves when he fought Xu Ruqi before, so he used this skill to offset the weakening directly.
Upon turning into a Lizard, he tried to escape. His speed was significantly increased now. However, even if Li Yao wasn’t as fast, he had already marked Hos.
