"Finally…" Carmen scoffed. "...A Hero."

The four watched the shield advance. Carmen was about to attack, but Adam raised his hand.

"Tch…" Carmen stopped, but then widened her eyes when she realized what she had just done. "What the—why the fuck am I following you?"

She complained, but still, she didn't attack.

The shield soon stopped moving, and the wielder soon revealed themselves. The alien... stood up, and the four's heads looked up, and up...

"Uh..." Harvey's eyes widened. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

The pink humanoid alien was... four times larger than its creep counterparts. Easily eighteen feet tall with broad shoulders that stretched the metal armor.

Adam blinked and then looked at the name above its head.

[X'olthar, the Ursa'n Wall.]

X'olthar had a rope tied to him, thick as Adam's wrist. He stared at Adam and the others, then moved his hand slowly.

Carmen reacted, wings twitching, and X'olthar stopped. But when Carmen didn't attack, X'olthar continued. They tugged on the rope three times, a hint of smoke escaping the alien's nose for some reason.

And after a few seconds, several more shadows stepped out. And like X'olthar, they were bigger than the other aliens, but X'olthar was a lot wider than they were.

"Oho..." Carmen smirked, scanning each of their faces. "Finally, some fucking challenge. Fucking ugly, though."

Beatrice took videos and photos of them. "Hard to discern the difference in their looks other than their sizes and clothes. The four of them are all holding melee weapons—final deduction: humanity has more advanced technology. Their armors, from earlier encounters, are not stronger than steel plates."

"Not as… advanced?" Adam glanced at Beatrice, sighing at her assessment.

Adam waited for them to speak, but when they remained standing, Adam took that chance to slowly step forward.

"Go home," he spoke softly to them. "Go home to your children. This is done, we're done."

One of the aliens stepped forward, someone wearing lighter armor.

[X'anul, the Lance of Lano'k].

X'anul opened their mouth, and a screech came out. X'anul started looking around, gesturing with their spear, and of course…

…Adam absolutely had no idea what they meant.

Adam looked up. "You're… not going to translate this?"

But alas, no Administrators responded to him.

Convenient that they're no longer saying anything—these people really are just using you as entertainment, huh? What's with all this talk about them preparing us for a higher form of war? A higher form of bullshit, more like.

He turned his focus back on the alien, and the alien was still talking, their voice rising and falling in what might have been… speech.

"There's no use talking to them," Carmen also raised her voice. "Let's just speak to them the language of all mortals—violence."

"Hm…" Adam sighed and placed his hands on his sides. "I have no intention of fighting you. Please, go home. Go—"

And before Adam could finish his words, X'anul suddenly raised his spear and threw it at Beatrice without any warning. The weapon whistled through the air.

Beatrice was perplexed, but still managed to fly away while also redirecting the spear with her wind.

The spear, however, suddenly rotated and flew back to her like a boomerang.

"Ah, skinny nerd!" Carmen quickly flew toward Beatrice, pushing her away.

The spear, however, hit Carmen right in the leg.

"Grah!" Carmen screamed in pain, and couldn't control her flight, and ended up falling on top of a car. The metal crumpled under her impact.

Adam watched that, and he sighed. "Harvey, can you please check on Carmen?"

"I think we need to worry about our—" Harvey couldn't finish his words as he saw a weird expression on Adam's face—something… cold settling behind his eyes.

"Got it, Emperor," he said before running.

"Beatrice." Adam checked on Beatrice. "Are you okay?"

"Yes, thanks to the Berserk Fairy," Beatrice said, hovering safely in the air. "Should we... use lethal force now?"

"No," Adam shook his head.

"I'll use lethal force."

And with that, Adam lunged, once again cracking the pavement beneath his feet… this time, however, the ground completely caved in from the force.

In just the blink of an eye, he stood in front of X'olthar, and then punched his shield. The impact caused a ripple to explode, then the sound made everything silent for a moment.

The shield bent at first, then returned to its original form before splitting in half with a metallic shriek. X'olthar's arm broke into pieces, bones snapping loudly in the air before he was thrown straight back into the portal.

Adam glanced at the other aliens—no, glaring at them. He stood up straight, not attacking anyone else.

"Go home," he once again said, this time, however, his voice held no softness in it.

This was one of the main reasons why Adam chose to invest all his points into Strength, other than to try and destroy the dome—Strength was the most intimidating attribute.

But alas, for aliens, this doesn't seem to work.

The aliens all rushed at him all at once, their feet pounding against the broken asphalt.

"Do…" he whispered, almost a sadness in his tone.

"...I really have to kill one of you for you to understand?"

In the end, Carmen was right—violence was the only thing each and every one of them understood. They were forced to fight, and so they will.

And they fight… because they think they have a chance. Show them they don't… and they will all fall in line soon enough. Show them the monster.

With a short sigh, Adam jumped at one of the aliens, this time not holding back at all. He went straight for X'anul, straightening his fingers and piercing his hand straight through their stomach.

And without pausing, Adam plunged his other hand into the very same wound… and completely ripped the tall alien in half while he was still in the air.

"Fucking shit!" Carmen, who was being helped up by Harvey, screamed in shock as soon as she saw that.

True to the voice inside his head, the aliens did stop. Adam landed back on the ground, still holding both halves with each of his hands.

He glared up at their frozen faces, and without blinking…

…bit into the alien's pink flesh.

…Okay, maybe that's too much, Adam.
