TILLY, upon seeing the emptiness in Kiho’s eyes, cupped her husband’s handsome face between her hands. "Honey, I understand that your parents’ past was tragic. I felt bad for Yumi, too. But I still can’t forgive them for trying to hurt our family. Am I wrong for holding onto my grudges against Kyro and Yumi?"

Only then did Kiho look like he had returned to his senses.

Her husband held her hand while shaking his head.

"Your feelings are valid, honey," Kiho said, squeezing her hands. "I admit that I’m shaken after seeing my parents’ past. But that doesn’t mean I’ll forgive them for all the bad things that they did to you and our children. I’m still determined to make them pay for their sins."

She was relieved to hear that.

[We shouldn’t get soft just because we’ve seen Kyro and Yumi’s past.]

"I’m glad to know that... oh."

Tilly trailed off because the scenario changed once again.

"P-PLEASE DON’T kill me!"

Tilly clicked her tongue while watching Father Crades beg Kyro for mercy.

[The audacity...]

She knew it was bad, she enjoyed watching Kyro tear the evil priest’s limbs one by one while the former cried and begged forgiveness.

[As if he deserves it.]

"Don’t worry— I won’t kill you."

Wait, what?

Tilly was surprised by what Kyro said. "Why would he not kill that crazy priest?"

"Torture," Kiho said bluntly. "There’s no fun in killing a bastard like that easily."

Oh.

"Right," she said while nodding in agreement. "That bastard doesn’t deserve an easy death."

So, Tilly and Kiho watched in satisfaction as Kyro continued to torture the evil priest.

She was glad that their children weren’t there to witness it.

[Both Kiho and I are satisfied with this. But if we were with our children, then we have to teach them that violence is bad. That overkilling is too much. After all, we don’t want them to inherit our disgusting thirst for blood.]

As gods, it couldn’t be helped.

Anyway...

[Father Crades is supposed to be the Devil’s "human child." But I guess he really has the Devil’s blood since he survived the Sun God’s attack.]

Since the scenarios kept changing, they didn’t know what really happened.

"Now, for your punishment..."

Tilly smiled broadly because she knew Kyro’s punishment would be fitting.

But then she got an unexpected reaction from her husband.

Kiho gasped while looking at the black stone in Kyro’s hand. "That’s the Black Moon."

Upon hearing that, Tilly also let out a loud gasp. "The Black Moon? As in the white sphere that turned black after the Moon God put the souls of all the monsters that he had slain when he was a child inside? The Black Moon that could bring calamities? The legendary cursed tool among gods?"

Her husband nodded solemnly. "Yes, that Black Moon."

Tilly was just about to ask out loud what Kyro was planning to do with that when the Moon God finally made his move.

Kyro forcefully opened Father Crades’ mouth and pushed the Black Moon inside.

[Oh, my!]

Then Kyro closed the evil priest’s mouth until the latter was forced to swallow the Black Moon.

[I wonder what will happen!]

Tilly was shocked by what happened next, though.

Father Crades had a seizure while his entire body grew limbs that didn’t belong to a human.

And, in just the blink of an eye, the evil priest had turned into the kind of monster that Tilly and Kiho were both familiar with.

[Crades!]

Now Tilly realized that the evil priest having the same name as the man-eating race of monsters wasn’t a coincidence!

[It was Kyro who created the Crades...]

THE NEXT scenario showed the extent of Kyro’s revenge.

Tilly could only watch in horror as the scene unfolded.

First, Kyro turned all the devotees of Father Crades’ "church" into the same type of monster the evil priest had turned into.

And then the Moon God released the Crades (man-eating monsters) to the village.

It was the village where most devotees lived, and it was also the same place where Yumi thought she’d be safe while waiting for Kyro. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm

[He punished those people for blindly following Father Crades...]

"I can’t say I don’t understand where Kyro is coming from, but not everyone in the village was guilty," Tilly said bitterly. "Having said that, I can’t say with confidence that I wouldn’t do what Kyro did if something were to happen to you and our babies."

Kiho nodded in agreement. "I’ll destroy the world if something bad happens to you, Tilly."

"I know— and that’s why I make sure I won’t die before you."

"I’ll die with you."

Tilly laughed at her husband’s declaration. "I know that well, honey."

Her smile soon disappeared when the scenario changed without warning again.

This time, the scenes kept changing fast as if it was a movie getting fast-forwarded by the impatient viewer.

But she got the gist of what was happening.

"Oh, god," Tilly whispered in disbelief. "Kyro released the monsters all over the world..."

"But it’s strange," Kiho said, knitting in eyebrows. "So many innocent humans had died because of the monsters that Kyro created and released to the world. How come the gods were quiet? I’m sure they know it was the Moon God who caused all of that."

Ah, her husband was right.

Tilly and Kiho’s curiosity remained at bay when the scenario changed again.

"HOW LONG are you going to punish innocent humans, Moon God?"

Tilly let out a gasp when she saw the ’person’ who approached Kyro while the Moon God sat on a cliff watching a big city burn to ashes.

She instantly recognized that ’person.’

"It’s the Devil," Tilly said, still surprised. "But how did he get out of Hell?"

Didn’t the gods seal the gate that connected Hell to the human world?

It was so frustrating when the memories being shown to them weren’t consistent!

"Until my wife’s rage is quenched, I won’t stop punishing the world for what they did to her," Kyro said indifferently. "If the Crades aren’t enough, I will release all the demons to eliminate all the humans in this filthy world."

"Then would you like to make a deal with me, Moon God?" the Devil asked playfully. "We’re no longer enemies, are we?"

Aha.

Tilly had been wondering as to how Kyro became the Devil when the Devil was every god’s worst enemy, but it looked like her curiosity was about to be satiated.

[So this is how Kyro became the Devil?]
