Mr.CEO Looks Exactly the Same as My Son!-Chapter 838: Not Planning to Get Married Yet
Arriving at the bus terminal, I parked the car in the parking space, got out of the car, and pulled out my phone from my pocket to call my mom.
The phone rang twice before being answered. I heard Mrs. Mo’s voice on the other end. It was noisy on her side, suggesting she was in a crowded place.
"Ah Han, you’ve arrived, right? Your dad and I just got off the bus and are walking out of the station now. Where are you?"
"I’m at the exit. You and Dad should see me when you come out." As I said this, I walked toward the crowd not far away, holding the phone and looking around. As more and more people came out, I frowned and stood there for quite a while before seeing the familiar figures.
Quickly walking forward to them, I saw Mrs. Mo holding the arm of the man beside her. She frowned at first upon seeing me, then spoke with some concern, "Why are you so thin, child? Is work too busy?"
"Not really busy. Actually, work’s fine. It’s probably because it’s been too long since you last saw me that I seem thin." Mo Han replied with a warm smile.
"You probably haven’t eaten yet, let’s grab something first, and we’ll talk later when we’re home."
"Okay."
Taking the items from my mother’s hand, I led them toward the car.
"Mo Han, how’s work going recently?"
After getting in the car, my father, who hadn’t said much before, asked with concern from the back seat, resting his hand against the driver’s seat.
"It’s going well. I’m eating and sleeping fine, so don’t worry about me." I replied while fastening my seatbelt, starting the car, and driving off.
"Old Yang, in a couple of years our son will be thirty, right?"
Mo Zhengyang nodded.
Mrs. Mo turned to look at her son driving, "Ah Han, are you coming home at the end of the year?"
I knew what Mom was up to, and the next second confirmed my guess.
"The new neighbors just moved in next door. They have a daughter two years younger than you, a top university graduate with a stable job. I asked her mom recently, and she doesn’t have a boyfriend. Since you don’t have anyone either, why not meet her during the New Year?"
He expected this...
"You’re not that young anymore. Look at your cousin, who’s only slightly younger than you; she’s found a boyfriend and is planning to get married by next year’s end. You’re still single. You need someone to manage your life together."
Mo Han just listened to his mother’s words without commenting, eyes fixed straight ahead on the road.
For the past couple of years, every time Mom called, she’d mention this. He’s heard it so much he can recite it from memory...
Seeing his lack of reaction, Mrs. Mo continued without stopping, "Look, your dad and I are getting older, and in a few years, we might not be in the best shape. If you find a girlfriend early, get married, and have children, we can help take care of them."
"Yes, yes, your mom’s right. Hurry up and find a girlfriend, get married, and have a child for us to help raise," Mo Zhengyang nodded in agreement, thinking his wife made a good point.
"Mom, I’m not planning to get married yet."
The car drove into a street and stopped in front of a restaurant. Unbuckling the seatbelt, I turned to my mom and said, "This place is nice. Let’s grab something to eat first. You must be tired after such a long bus ride."
