Mr. CEO's Substitute Bride-Chapter 919 - 915: Is This a Surprise for Your Husband?
Felix Shaw has been quite troubled these past few days. He just finalized a collaboration with Director Foley in Banyan City, and now Mia Foster has slipped away again. If it weren’t for this collaboration case, with his personality, he’d probably book a ticket immediately to catch her!
While feeling agitated, Nathan Moore called him, saying he was going to inspect the branch in T City and could take over the collaboration case they were previously working on together.
Felix Shaw knew that Nathan’s so-called inspection was just an excuse to get close to Titus Zane, but he was happy to let it be. Among the brothers, apart from Evander Lancaster, the other two had business acumen, so he felt reassured handing over the collaboration to his second brother for help.
After the handover, Felix once again set off for America, but this time he didn’t appear directly. After settling his luggage, he rented a car, drove it into a parking lot, lowered the seat, and waited inside, smoking as he waited for Mia Foster to finish work.
At the end of the workday, he saw Mia Foster from a distance, walking arm-in-arm with that foreigner towards his direction, and Felix’s heart trembled with rage.
Damn woman, no wonder she was so eager to return; she was thinking about this affair!
As Mia Foster and Steven British got closer, Felix quickly put out his cigarette and crouched down to hide, worried that they’d see him and be on guard.
Whether intentionally or not, Mia Foster stumbled slightly as she passed his parked car and fell into Steven’s arms. Felix couldn’t hear what they were saying, but he saw Steven’s hand tightly around Mia Foster’s waist, and he almost couldn’t control himself from jumping out of the car and hitting him.
Seeing Steven naturally sit in the passenger seat, Felix cursed, "Uncultured man!" Letting his woman drive!
Felix drove and trailed them all the way to the front of a western restaurant, watching the two laugh and enter. He didn’t rush out of the car, turned off the ignition, lit another cigarette, lowered the window, and smoked leisurely as he watched the night scene outside. Only when enough time passed did he open the car door, and leisurely walked towards the restaurant.
Steak and red wine are to Westerners what barbecue is back home. When Felix walked in, the restaurant was almost full of patrons.
Westerners love creating romantic atmospheres. The restaurant was enveloped in dim red light, and in the haze, Felix searched for Mia Foster’s figure, several times nearly bumping into patrons’ tables, hurriedly apologizing politely.
At the far corner, there was a table set with a candlestick, and a vibrant rose in a vase. As someone well-versed in romance, Felix understood the language of flowers. He paused, sneered at the rose symbolizing devotion, and saw the two at the table put down their forks and raise their wine glasses.
Seeing them act so intimately, Felix suppressed his anger and gentlemanly approached the table, softly saying, "Darling, you invited a friend to celebrate our wedding anniversary without telling me. Is this a surprise for your husband?"
Finishing his sentence, he lifted Mia Foster in her dazed gaze and moved her to the empty chair inside, then sat down where Mia had just been.
"Liang, this is..." Whether it was too dark for Steven to recognize Felix or he pretended not to know him, he stared at Mia in confusion as Felix sat down.
Mia Foster weakly held her forehead. After returning to the country, Felix had told her that he punched Steven...
Not knowing how to start speaking, Felix first introduced himself, "Hello, Mr. Pretty Boy, I’m Mia’s husband. We’ve been married for nearly three years now."
