Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!-Chapter 757: Every Secret Is Poison

The chill of her open robe startled Audrey Sutton, making her forget to turn off the hairdryer. In a panic, she pressed down on her robe with her hands and frowned at Shane Warner, displeased. "What are you doing?!"

Shane Warner stood up, pushing Audrey Sutton towards the corner of the wall while taking the hairdryer from her hand and turning it off.

The "whirring" sound stopped, and the bathroom instantly became silent. Looking at Shane Warner’s gaze tinted with desire, Audrey Sutton’s face gradually warmed up. She tightly clutched the neckline of her robe, raising her face to Shane Warner, saying, "Don’t mess around. You have to work tomorrow morning. Hurry and dry your hair, then go to sleep!"

Shane Warner seemed to not hear her, advancing towards Audrey Sutton. As he stared at her mouth opening and closing while she spoke, his Adam’s apple bobbed once before slowly leaning down to press his lips onto hers.

Audrey Sutton resisted, pushing with her hand, but Shane Warner caught both her wrists, kissing her even more forcefully until Audrey Sutton’s body softened, her breathing became rapid, and only then did he end the kiss.

Audrey Sutton, breathless, glared at him. Shane Warner chuckled, gently peeling off her already-open robe and lightly kissed her shoulder, his voice low and hoarse, "Now that the son’s fed, it’s hubby’s turn, right?"

"You are really...!"

"Be good, cooperate a bit, we’ll make it quick and get to rest earlier."

Trusting his words about being quick, only when Audrey Sutton was exhausted, leaning weakly on the sink, did she realize Shane Warner had no intention of stopping, realizing deeply that a man’s sweet words can’t be trusted.

By the end, Audrey Sutton’s mind was muddled, faintly hearing someone whispering "Audrey" repeatedly in her ear.

When she woke up the next day, had it not been for the real soreness all over her body, Audrey Sutton would have thought last night was a dreamy entanglement.

Outside was gloomy, she didn’t know the time. The spot Shane Warner usually occupied next to her was empty. Reaching out to touch the sheets, they were cold.

Turning her head to check the crib next to her, there was no sign of Anna.

It was only then that Audrey Sutton sat up, supporting her sore waist, and checked her phone to see the time, realizing it was almost ten o’clock.

She hurriedly got out of bed, feeling discomfort all over her body.

After washing up, she went downstairs to see Evan Sutton playing on the carpet with Anna.

"Big brother."

Evan Sutton glanced back at Audrey Sutton and smiled, "You’re awake?"

Audrey Sutton, holding onto the railing, came down the stairs and looked around. Everyone seemed to have left, even her two sister-in-laws were nowhere to be seen.

Audrey Sutton: "Where is everyone?"

Evan Sutton: "Big brother went with sister-in-law to the hospital for a check-up, second brother and his wife went shopping, third brother left with Shane in the morning, fourth brother is probably still asleep upstairs, and Six is probably in his room gaming since I haven’t seen him."

As he spoke, Evan Sutton nodded towards the kitchen. "Mom left breakfast for you in the microwave. Go have your breakfast first."

Audrey Sutton, pouring herself a glass of water, asked worriedly, "What’s wrong with sister-in-law? Wasn’t she fine yesterday? Why did she go to the hospital?"

Evan Sutton chuckled, "Big brother just called mom. It seems they’ve found out sister-in-law is pregnant again, right? Mom left for the hospital after getting the call, probably to go with them."

"What? Really? Sister-in-law is pregnant again? How fast is big brother?"

Anna watched Audrey Sutton bringing the glass to her lips, staring intently and babbling with a craving expression.

Evan Sutton laughed, "He thinks you’re about to have something delicious, so he’s craving it too."

Audrey Sutton set the glass down, "This little foodie, I’ll get him a bottle with some water."

Evan Sutton stood up, "I’ll do it. You go have breakfast."

Around ten-thirty, Stephen Sutton’s car stopped outside.

Audrey Sutton immediately opened the door to greet them, seeing Hazel Yates carefully helping Phoebe King out of the car, grinning widely. Audrey Sutton knew she was thrilled about another grandchild on the way.

However, Phoebe King didn’t seem as happy, apparently not ready for a second child so soon.

"Sister Phoebe, congratulations."

Phoebe King pursed her lips, leaning in to complain softly to Audrey Sutton, "Audrey, I’m so miserable! I’m really caught this time, ah! Just when I started enjoying myself, now I have to diet again!"

Audrey Sutton laughed, "Big brother is probably eager for you to have a second child. Otherwise, he surely would have taken measures."

Phoebe King: "I thought so too! That sly old fox! All he sells is poison!" 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

When Stephen Sutton walked inside, he glanced at Phoebe King and asked, "What are you mumbling about?"

Phoebe King forced a smile, "Just congratulating you on becoming a dad again."

Stephen Sutton clearly heard Phoebe King bad-mouthing him earlier. He snorted, changed into slippers, and took Summer from Hazel Yates, carrying her into the living room.

Watching Stephen Sutton walk away, Phoebe King whispered to Audrey Sutton, "Did you see? Look at his behavior! I have to suffer for ten more months just to give him a second child?!"

Audrey Sutton laughed, "Better to just get it done. After that, you’re free."

Phoebe King slyly grinned, "You’ve been quite busy with Shane lately, right? How was the battle last night?"

Audrey Sutton blushed, "Sister Phoebe!"

Phoebe King: "Do you know what your husband said when he left this morning?"

Audrey Sutton: "Oh? What did he say?"

She thought that no matter how thick-skinned Shane Warner was, he wouldn’t say something like that in front of everyone, right?

Besides, he’s usually only brazen in front of her.

Phoebe King cleared her throat, mimicking Shane Warner’s tone, "Mom, if Anna wakes up later, could you please carry her for a bit? Audrey didn’t get enough rest last night, so let her sleep a little longer."

After hearing this, Audrey Sutton’s ears turned red.

Even though Shane Warner’s words were subtly put, everyone knew what he meant.

Phoebe King patted Audrey Sutton’s shoulder, solemnly saying, "Comrade Audrey, keep it up, let’s aim to have ours at the same time so we can hit the gym together later."

Seeing everyone had returned, Evan Sutton figured he needed to check on Hannah Sue.

So, with his coat in hand, he walked to the door and said to Hazel Yates, "Mom, I’m heading out for a bit."

Hazel Yates: "Will you be back for lunch?"

Evan Sutton thought for a moment, "Yes, I’ll be back soon."

Hazel Yates: "Alright, it’s cold outside, make sure to dress warmly."

Evan Sutton: "Okay."

Turning toward Audrey Sutton and Phoebe King, he asked, "Is there anything you’d like to eat? I can bring it back for you."

Audrey Sutton promptly said, "Big brother, if it’s on your way, could you check if that chestnut shop is open? If it is, bring some back."

Evan Sutton nodded, "Sure."

As Evan Sutton walked out the door, and watching him leave, Phoebe King said to Audrey Sutton, "Do you think your big brother is in a relationship? I remember when he worked here before, he rarely hung out with colleagues outside work hours. Now, he’s running out every few days."
