Chapter 813: Chapter 813: A Scoundrel Who Takes Advantage of Others’ Plight

After the game ended, Julian Bishop stayed behind to gather the chairs briefly.

Not far away, Faye Xavier glanced at her watch and whispered to Morgan Quinn, "Is your booze any good? I see Mr. Bishop isn’t showing any signs at all?"

Morgan Quinn replied, "No way, just wait and see."

Faye Xavier skeptically watched Julian Bishop for a moment, then saw him stop moving the chairs, as if he suddenly felt dizzy, rubbing his forehead with his hand and then tugging at his shirt collar.

Morgan Quinn remarked, "Here it comes."

Seeing this, Faye Xavier ran over "helpfully" and said, "Mr. Bishop, are you feeling unwell from drinking too much? Why don’t you go rest in the car first? I’m camping here tonight, so I’ll just clean up these things myself."

Julian Bishop lightly licked his lips with the tip of his tongue, his breathing gradually quickened. He just assumed he hadn’t drunk like this in a long time, so his tolerance was low, and replied to Faye Xavier, "Thank you."

Faye Xavier cheerfully responded, "It’s no trouble, no trouble, Mr. Bishop, you go rest quickly."

Julian Bishop nodded and walked toward the roadside.

Faye Xavier immediately ran to the tent of the brown-haired woman and whispered to her, "Are you ready? He’s already gone back to the car, and the alcohol has taken effect."

The brown-haired woman looked at Julian Bishop’s receding figure and asked Faye Xavier, "Are you sure? Won’t he be mad when he finds out?"

Faye Xavier replied, "What’s he going to be mad about after getting such a good deal? Hurry up, I’ll take you over there, I still have things to do here!"

The brown-haired woman went back into the tent and said, "Wait a moment, I’ll change clothes."

Faye Xavier muttered quietly outside the tent, "Change? You’ll have to take them off soon anyway."

...

By the time Julian Bishop reached the roadside, his steps were unsteady. As he passed the front of the car, he confirmed the license plate, then walked along the side of the car carefully.

The light in the car aisle was still on as he pushed open the right-hand door. The room was pitch black, with only a sliver of light coming through from the corridor when the door opened.

Julian Bishop entered the room and closed the door behind him, habitually locking it.

He leaned against the wall, panting heavily. It was a cool, pleasant early spring night, yet he was sweating profusely, and his mind felt foggy.

It wasn’t the kind of dizziness from a cold; his consciousness was just progressively blurring.

Stumbling to the bedside and sitting on the edge of the bed, he originally intended to reach out for the bedside lamp switch but unexpectedly touched something extraordinarily soft and warm.

A now irrational Julian Bishop didn’t analyze the anomaly, but instead leaned toward that softness and warmth as if it were his last hope.

Outside the car, Faye Xavier and the brown-haired woman snuck aboard, thinking everything was ready. But when Faye Xavier reached for Julian Bishop’s door lock, her smile froze.

The brown-haired woman asked, puzzled, "What’s wrong?"

Faye Xavier twitched her mouth, forced a laugh, "The door’s locked from the inside."

"So what do we do now?" asked the brown-haired woman.

Faye Xavier thought for a bit, then took out her phone from her pocket, "I’ll try calling."

The call went through, but rang until it automatically disconnected without being answered.

Faye Xavier couldn’t help but think, is Bishop really that wild? Did he solve it himself?

The brown-haired woman felt like she was being toyed with, and unhappily turned to leave the car, saying, "I guess forget it, I’ll go back to sleep."

Faye Xavier hurried after her, "I’m really sorry, miss. I didn’t think this big guy would lock the door to sleep! Maybe I’ll help you next time? We still have a long way to go together, there will be plenty of opportunities!"

The brown-haired woman walked away without turning her head, and Faye Xavier kept apologizing and speaking nicely behind her.

Meanwhile, in that room, the scene continued to unfold.

The countryside night was beautiful and serene; those still awake could look up to see the bright stars in the sky.

The sound of insects chirping intermittently filled the air, with a faint whispering heard in the distance.

...

In the early morning, around five, as the sky was just beginning to lighten, the horizon presented a deep blue hue.

Seraphina Vaughn was awakened by a physical need, but she was too exhausted to move, not even wanting to open her eyes.

She vaguely remembered having that kind of dream. Was she getting old? How could just a dream tire her out as if she’d actually tangled with a man all night?

Reluctantly, she struggled under the covers for a few seconds. She really didn’t want to get up to use the bathroom, but couldn’t hold it any longer.

Just as she was about to lift the blanket and get out of bed, her foot seemed to touch another person’s foot.

Realizing something, Seraphina Vaughn’s heart skipped a beat. She suddenly opened her eyes wide and sat up abruptly, and by the faint light from outside the window, she saw clearly the man next to her pillow...

How... how could it be him?

What... what the heck?! She and that annoying man...

Seraphina Vaughn glanced down under the blanket, confirming that what she thought was a dream was not a dream at all.

What exactly happened last night? Why couldn’t she remember anything?

And why was this man on her bed?

For a while, Seraphina Vaughn’s mind was blank, not knowing how to deal with what she saw.

When she turned to look for her clothes, she suddenly realized this wasn’t her room.

Could it be she accidentally entered this man’s room? And then he took advantage when he returned?

What a scoundrel, taking advantage of others!

Seraphina Vaughn was about to kick Julian Bishop, who was still sleeping, hard, but then suddenly stopped her action.

Chaotic thoughts churned in her mind, they had both drunk quite a bit last night, maybe neither of them knew who was who, and Julian Bishop probably blacked out too.

Thinking thus, Seraphina Vaughn’s first reaction was to leave the room before Julian Bishop woke up, pretending nothing had happened.

She didn’t want any involvement with that unpleasant man!

Seraphina Vaughn didn’t even bother with the bathroom, quickly gathered her scattered clothes off the floor, threw them on hurriedly, and left the room.

When she peeked from the car door, everyone seemed still asleep at this hour, only some noise came from the back dining car, probably workers starting breakfast preparations.

Taking advantage of no one outside, Seraphina Vaughn promptly crouched and found her way back to her room in the car.

She muttered to herself, she remembered parking her car in front of the dining car when she got off yesterday, how did it change spots?!

Back in her room, Seraphina Vaughn locked the door and rushed to the bathroom. Sitting on the toilet, she couldn’t calm her complicated mood.
