My Favorite Game Followed Me!-Chapter 641
Chapter 641
Anton focused on leveling up his ladder Necromancer until dinner that day. He managed to level up the character to level 72. After that, he spent several minutes eating dinner, then the rest of the evening relaxing by watching an anime. He did not want to burn out, which was his go-to excuse for being lazy.
He knew for a fact that the only reason he would not become an overpowered god like the protagonists in Asian web novels was his laziness. Anton tried changing it, but it was incredibly difficult. Besides, he felt like he was doing alright. He just was not too much of a psycho about it.
The next day, after breakfast, he met up with his team. From his captain, he heard that the scouts said that the undead horde would reach the fortified camp the next day. That meant that everyone only had one day to prepare themselves before a gruesome battle would occur. Unlike the nightly attack of the undead horde in Mendoza, the battle that was coming was going to be non-stop. It would last until either side was destroyed.
Anton asked Captain Nando what the upper wizards would do, and his captain said nothing. The semi-divine and divine wizards of the three kingdoms would only appear if the corresponding enemy spellcasters appeared. He still did not understand why don’t the most powerful beings of either side did not just fight it out instead of prolonging this war.
After this meeting, Anton went to Captain Nando to ask the questions that had been bothering him ever since the beginning.
“It’s because there are balances and checks that either side must take note of, or else total destruction would occur. Even the undead don’t want everything to be destroyed,” Captain Nando simply said.
Anton still did not understand, and more than likely, it was because of the combination of his age and his lack of knowledge. Regardless, the only thing he could do was try his best to fight.
Since, according to everyone, the next battle, which would probably start the next day, the moment the undead horde arrived, would be non-stop, Anton decided to go home to the Rose Manor. He went to his room and used a town portal scroll inside his bathroom.
The moment he arrived, he cast the Blizzard spell, turned into Mana Rain to signal to everyone in the manor that he was back. Soon, Mr. Jenkins arrived with food, even though it was mid-morning already. Anton knew that his father had probably returned to the high-level dungeon together with his men to continue leveling up his Arcane Warrior and Paladin classes.
While he was eating his second breakfast, Anton told Raymond to tell his father the situation with the fortified camp and that the undead horde would arrive the next day, which meant that the battle could last for a while. That also meant that his return to the Rose Manor might be more infrequent.
“I will still strive my best to return as often as I can. Thankfully, setting up my portal was extremely simple. Please give these next episodes of Avatar to Luna and Alfred,” Anton said after he handed three mini globes of browser sharing to Raymond.

After that, Anton did not stay long and returned to the fortified camp. Luckily, he did because after a few minutes, he heard someone knocking on his door, and when he opened it, it was one of his team members telling him that everyone was being called to the plaza.
When Anton joined his team that was already in the plaza, after a few more minutes, almost everyone had arrived. An Invincible wizard flew up and announced to everyone that the undead would be arriving that night instead of early the next day. Then the wizard told everyone to prepare and start manning the stations assigned to them. After that, the Invincible Wizard, contrary to what Anton had experienced from powerful wizards when they were making announcements, the Invincible Wizard’s speech lasted for a grueling two hours. The speech was filled with nonsensical platitudes and encouragement. Thankfully, he could access his Diablo II system and continue leveling up his character using the onscreen option while looking like he was listening to the flying wizard. With the number of wizards there, probably no one would notice Anton’s blank stare.
After that, Anton, together with his team, went to the section where they were assigned. Anton entered the array that was assigned to him and did some testing to make sure that it was working perfectly. It was, and since he could not see the undead horde yet, Anton retrieved a chair from his inventory and sat in the middle of the array, and continued leveling up his ladder Necromancer.
The wait was extremely long, which was around seven hours, before Anton saw the undead horde on the horizon. He could only see the undead horde, even though the sun had already set, because the area had been filled with light spells that were cast by wizards.
During the long wait, Anton had leveled up his ladder Necromancer to level 90. He had read from the website that the ladder season would end in 45 days, so he needed to concentrate and reach the maximum level of the last five characters that he could level up this season. He wanted the items and the stats that he could transfer from inside his Diablo II system to the real world. He didn’t know if he had enough time to reach the maximum level for the remaining five characters, but he would do his best.
He knew, though, that with the attack of the Undead Horde, there was a chance that the ladder season would end without him completing all of the characters that he was supposed to level up.
Anton prepared himself. He was already wearing all the items that he transferred from the game to the real world, except for the Death’s Fathom Dimensional Shard and the Spirit Shield, so he retrieved those from his inventory and carried them.
The moment the undead army reached his range, Anton behaved like a robot, just like he did when he was in Mendoza. He started casting his curses from the Necromancer skill tree, followed by all the offensive spells from different classes that he could muster. His casting was like a clockwork machine, spaced with enough time to make sure that his Meditation Aura would be able to support all of his spellcasting. He was also prepared to drink mana and rejuvenation potions, but he never needed them so far.
Anton made sure that his offensive spells would target the enemies that received his curses. His Frozen Orb, Blizzard, Meteor, Chain Lightning, Hydra, and Fire Wall from the Sorceress skill tree, Fist of the Heaven from the Paladin skill tree, Volcano, Tornado, and Twister from the Druid Skill tree slammed into the section of the undead horde that he was concentrating on.
He did not stop his casting, but the undead horde from the Undead Coalition was relentless in their attack. Slowly, the undead armies got nearer to the camp that was now surrounded by high and thick walls made from Earth and Stone. The undead horde was so huge that they looked like an incoming tsunami. Anton knew that once the undead horde was near, it would be a problem because the area of attack spells that he and the wizards from their side had been casting would be limited to avoid affecting their side. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
The problem was, even though the incoming undead were delayed by the spells from the wizards on their side, slowly but surely, they crept on to reach the camp.
