Chapter 695

Since there was only a single day between showings of each of the Avatar films, the whole thing was treated by Ormundans as one single epic movie, and those who had seen it were blown away.

When the movie ended, the night did not stop. The event continued until the morning arrived. Anders had to put his foot down and commanded Anna and Luna to return home, and since the two were not going to stay, their friends had to return to their homes as well. Of course, Anton, being older and a man, was not required to return to the manor, but since he was tired, he joined Anna and Luna in returning to the Rose Manor.

On the carriage drive home, Anna pouted, saying that she was on vacation and was supposed to enjoy her vacation, and that the movie premiere after-party was the event of the season. Anders just ignored her. Anton agreed with their father since Anna, although now a powerful wizard, was still a thirteen-year-old girl. The funny thing was, Anna’s classmates, who were years older than her, were also pouting since they wanted to stay as well. Unfortunately for them, some of their teachers from the magic academy were there as well, and when they learned that Anna was returning to the Rose Manor, they commanded the girls to return and join Anna.

Once they were at the Rose Manor, instead of resting, probably in rebellion against Anders, the girls continued partying in one of the manor’s salons. Anders let them be since the most important part was that they were at the manor.

Anton joined them since by tomorrow or the day after, he would start focusing on his Diablo System and would not have so much time to join his sister in whatever shenanigans she planned to do, since she and her classmates had several more weeks of vacation.

In the next few hours, Anton and the girls talked about the films they had just watched. They talked about the concept of living inside a huge spaceship, and Anna, who had seen Star Trek: The Next Generation, appointed herself as an expert in living in space. Luna could relate a little since she had seen the Star Wars films. Anna’s classmates and Luna’s friends, who had permission to stay at the manor from their guardians, were fascinated by the stories that Anna had shared from the Star Trek television shows.

When one of Anna’s classmates suggested they watch Star Trek: The Next Generation, Anna declined, telling them that it would be a huge commitment since the said television shows had hundreds of episodes, and it would be best if they stick to just watching movies.

Anna was sure that Anton had hundreds of movies that had space themes, and he simply nodded.

Anton told Anna that starting tomorrow, they could watch a film after dinner, but during the day, he would not be able to join her and her friends since there were major changes in his unique bloodline magic that he needed to attend to.

Anna simply nodded and told Anton that he could rest, which was basically a dismissal. Anton simply laughed and left for his room.

Once he was back in his room, Anton decided to sleep early because he planned to spend the day playing Diablo Immortal. At first, he wanted to play a ladder character, but he could not wait to try out the new game.

This novel is published on a different platform. Support the original author by finding the official source.

He slept at around six in the morning and woke up at 10 a.m. He sent a message by spell to Raymond, informing him not to disturb him if it was not something important, and would join the family for dinner.

Anton ate one of the meals from his inventory and once he was ready, entered the world of Diablo Immortal. As usual, he chose to create a Sorcerer character.

He found himself riding a small boat and immediately reached a small harbor. He followed the tutorial quest as shown in the user interface that Anton could see in front of his face. The main difference right now between the new game and Diablo II was that he was so used to playing Diablo II that he could dismiss the user interface without any issue. Since Diablo Immortal was new to him, he could not do that and would need to let the mini map and the quest list remain.

Based on reading the interface, the game seemed to have more missions compared to Diablo II. Anton simply followed the quest prompt. Since he could not access his Diablo II spells, he now felt extremely weak. He was used to it since every time he started a new character during ladder seasons in Diablo II, it was the same thing.

Anton still had no experience dying, though. He was extremely careful in making sure that he did not die inside the game, even though he was sure that he would be fine. He did attempt once, but he chickened out, especially after he had seen that one anime called Log Horizon where the transmigrator lose their memories from Earth after they died.

After a couple of hours of playing the new Diablo Immortal game, he forced himself to stop even though he was enjoying himself. He needed to play the new ladder season of Diablo II because he needed the stats and the items that he could get once he reached the maximum level of a character during the ladder season.

Anton found it peculiar that he was still not bored with playing Diablo II, especially now that he could join other players. He still enjoyed it very much, and it was easy enough to join a leveling group.

By the time the sun had set, his ladder Sorceress reached level 21. His Diablo Immortal character only completed the tutorial in the first two hours that he played the game, since he kept stopping to read the interface of the new game.

When he joined the family for dinner, everyone was still full of excitement from the event that had happened the day before. Anders told everyone that he would return to delving into the dungeon the next day.

After dinner, they all headed to the room in the manor that was converted into a private cinema. The movie that Anton chose to watch with the others was the movie Galaxy Quest. He had not seen the film yet, and according to reviews, it was one of the best space movies of all time. At first, he was hesitant to watch it since he thought that it was a parody and he was averse to watching parodies, but based on what the Netizens had been saying, it was not a parody but a homage to those who love Star Trek. The fact that the actors playing the characters in the movie were also one of the reasons why Anton decided to watch it.

When the movie started, Anton was intrigued that the main characters were a cast of a famous space opera and that their show had been cancelled. Apparently, they were still famous and were invited to conventions. The movie was funny, and the netizens were correct. Whoever created the film truly loved Star Trek. It was full of respect for those who loved the genre, and Anton even managed to cry in some of the scenes.

The movie ended with a bang, and it gave a sense of bittersweet feeling inside Anton. The girls asked a lot of questions about conventions. Anna had experienced it before when they were traveling, and even Luna and Alfred held mini cosplay conventions.

Anna suddenly declared that she wanted to hold a major Cosplay Convention based on all the movies the cinema had already shown. The conventions would be around three days, just like the Lord of the Rings convention that was held before.
