Chapter 696

Anna wanted to ensure that the Cosplay Conventions based on all the movies the cinema had already shown would be the true event of the year, at least for the idle rich folks. Anton knew that it would probably be successful, since it was a way for Ormundans to forget that their neighboring kingdom, New Drennor, was currently at war with the undead.

Based on experience, Anton knew that those idle rich folks would usually frequent establishments like brothels and theaters to forget their problems, especially if they could not do anything about those problems.

At least, Anton's sister was sensible. While listening in on the conversation, the first thing Anton’s sister planned to do was hire a lot of people who would assist her in planning the Cosplay Convention. She knew that she and her friends were not up to the task, and Romina was busy with the launch of the fashion magazine. Luna was currently attached to Romina’s hip.

Anders had already escaped somewhere, but had already given his approval to whatever plan Anna had. Thankfully, Anna went to the correct people to find the best people who could assist her and her classmates in holding the Cosplay Convention event, which was Raymond, the family butler, and Ronia.

The main issue was the funding. Of course, Anna planned to earn the coins back on whatever capital they spent on the conventions from the attendees, but they needed to have the funds first. Anton did not want to touch the coins in the family treasure room, and since he had around 1.3 million coins remaining in his inventory from delving the high-level dungeon, he gave 500,000 gold coins to Anna as her fund. He did save those coins for celebrating his birthday, which would be coming up in a few weeks, but thought that his birthday celebration would just be the Cosplay Conventions. Even if Anna loses all the funds, it would not matter much to Anton. Ever since they arrived at a place where Anton could farm dungeons, coins were like monopoly money to him. That was the reason why his desire to create enchanted items waned.

Everything magical that he would need was usually available in the magic stores in the kingdom, and he could get very powerful items from inside his Diablo system. Just like Anton, for some reason, his father and sister had also adopted his behavior towards wealth. More than likely, it was because of how easy for the family to get them. If some malicious member of the family decided to embezzle the family funds, there was a huge chance that Anton, Anders, and Anna would not notice, and if they did, they probably would not care too much.

He knew that currently, no one in the family would do such a thing because everyone knew how powerful Anton was and how Anders and Anna were also becoming powerful.

Anton was a little grateful that Anna wanted to host such a massive event because he could isolate himself to focus on his Diablo System, and he would not feel any guilt in doing so because Anna would become so busy with the convention. Anders would also be busy delving into the dungeon. Their father was currently addicted to leveling up his Paladin class, more than likely because the increase in power was tangible.

Early the next day, after Anton cast the Blizzard spell turned into Mana Rain towards the whole manor, he sent a spell message to Raymond, for him not to be disturbed and that they would only need to do so for truly important things. As usual, he would join the family for dinner.

Once Anton was ready, he played Diablo Immortal for a couple of hours. He was still familiarizing himself with the game, and if he was being honest, he was a bit overwhelmed. There were so many currencies, so many things he needed for powering up.

The best advice that settled him from netizens was just to follow the main quest and nothing else for now. Anton knew that it would probably take a long time for him to level up his Diablo Immortal wizard since he was taking his sweet time playing the game. He was not skipping anything and was watching the cutscenes thoroughly.

After the allotted two hours, he switched to the ladder season of Diablo II and continued leveling up his Sorceress character together with some other players. When the sun had set, his ladder Sorceress was level 30. He did not even remember what level his wizard was in Diablo Immortal.

Anton joined the family in the dining room, and surprisingly, Anna declined to watch a movie that night, citing that all of them were incredibly busy planning the Cosplay Convention. Anders was not with them, since their father was still inside the dungeon.

“You still haven’t selected the class that you want me to bestow on you. Are you not planning Father to assist you in leveling up?” Anton asked his sister.

“I haven’t decided yet. I’ll do it later,” Anna just said carelessly, and Anton just shrugged.

It did not truly matter to Anton as long as Anna was happy. When he arrived at his room, Anton still felt a little tired about continuing to level up his characters and decided to watch a sitcom. Since winter vacation was all about Cosplay Convention, he decided to start watching The Big Bang Theory because he had a shallow understanding that the characters there were otakus and frequently attended Comic-Con.

Without him noticing, he spent a few hours binging on the new sitcom that he chose. The Big Bang Theory was funny, and all of the characters had unique quirks that Anton liked.

The next day, Anton woke up early and decided to play Diablo Immortal for around three or four more hours. Even though his wizard character was only wearing low-level items, he could already feel the increase in power that the items gave him.

Regarding the wizard’s spells that he already had access to, he found them a bit underwhelming, and the fact that they had cooldowns brought home the fact that he would probably be only using them in real life in special circumstances.

Of course, he knew that the wizard's spells would become more powerful as soon as he received legendary items that would modify them. He wondered if Anton should have chosen another character instead of a wizard. Maybe the Blood Knight or the Tempest.

After playing for around three hours, he finally had a decent set that modified two of his spells, and had now started enjoying the combat. After that, though, he decisively switched to Diablo II. He needed to reach the maximum level of his Sorceress characters as soon as possible. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

At around six in the evening, he stopped playing the game inside his Diablo System and joined the family for dinner. Anders was still dungeon delving. Surprisingly, Anna told Anton that they were still incredibly busy planning for the Cosplay Convention and that they declined to watch a movie that night.

Anton understood that Anna and her classmates were now starting to understand that the Cosplay Convention was probably something beyond them. Thankfully, Raymond and Ronia promised them that more help would be coming in the next day.

Even though Anna looked extremely busy, Anton could see that she was enjoying herself, and that was the most important part.

When dinner was over, Anton started binging The Big Bang Theory again. He knew that some kind of rest was important for his mental health. At least that was the excuse that he was giving himself for being lazy.
