Chapter 698

Raymond also hired a few wizards to manage the security at the Cosplay Convention’s event, not that anyone was expecting something to happen. The cinema building where the Cosplay Convention was taking place was located in one of the wealthiest areas in these parts of Ormunda.

There was actually nothing valuable that a nefarious organization could consider worth causing chaos in one of the most protected kingdoms in the New Gale Continent. Most items that could be found inside the convention were meaningless things that were catered to tickle rich and idle nobles' fancy.

The merchants who opened their boutiques inside the cinema made some specialized products resembling those that could be found in one of the movies that had been shown in the cinema, so Anton was sure that after a few months, those products would become garbage.

The items that the merchants brought consisted of costumes, props, accessories, and a bunch of things that could only be said to be valuable if a rich lady wanted to customize certain items to incorporate valuable things like gems.

Anton’s four young wizards, whom he was grooming to become the family’s wizard protectors, were also assigned as mage guards, even though in reality, they still could not do so, but they still strutted about with their mage robes and their novice wands.

Still, they were being treated by the family employees with importance because everyone thought that they were Anton’s apprentices.

The variety of food that the merchants had prepared was also decorated to look like it came from the movies.

Anton could see that everyone was having fun. He briefly wondered how much the ticket was for the event, but was too lazy to inquire about it.

After a few hours, Anton could see that the event goers started to change their clothing to costumes, and he snorted. As far as he knew, cosplay convention attendees would show up in the conventions already wearing their costumes, but the rich folks here seemed to want to have a little bit of drama in exposing their costumes and wanted to make sure that the conventions were at their peak before exposing their costumes.

Since it was the first day of the three-day conventions, Anna and her three classmates were wearing uniforms of the Ravenclaw School from the Hogwarts films. Luna and her friends were wearing the uniforms from Gryffindor, and the men from the family, those who wore costumes, which was, surprisingly, a huge number of them, were wearing uniforms from Slytherin.

Everyone was admiring their costumes, and they were enjoying themselves. The food and drinks seemed to be nonstop, and Anton knew that the merchants were earning a lot of coins.

He also realized that the magic item recorders were now hot items because everyone was taking their pictures and videos.

Some scene reenactments from movies were happening in various corners of the and when Anton watched some of them, he was impressed at how good the actors were. He found out that most of them were actual actors from theaters.

At first, Anton felt a little guilty since he thought that the family was stealing business from those actors and theater owners, but Raymond reported that it was not the case at all. The cinema tickets were considerably more expensive compared to the tickets from those theaters, and because of the movies, a lot of artists became inspired. Because of that, new plays appeared, and theater actors and singers became more skilled.

Instead of stealing their business, the cinema injected new life into the arts. Some theaters had also started utilizing magic item recorders and started selling copies of their plays.

Anton saw that those who had the best costumes were being stopped by folks to get their pictures, but the busiest of them were the people hired by Romina. He knew that some of the images from the convention would end up in the fashion magazine.

After a couple of hours wandering around, Anton saw that Anders had arrived. So both father and son decided to roam around the venue. At first, they thought of joining Anna and her friends, but when they got near her, she actually shooed them off. It only made Anton and Anders laugh.

Whenever they get hungry, they would eat food from some of the food and drink stalls that were opened by the merchants.

By the time the sun had set, a full-blown party was going on inside the venue, but Anton could see that everyone was restraining themselves because they still wanted to join the next two days of the Cosplay Conventions. With no exception, everyone was carrying merchandise in their arms, and all the merchants who joined the event had big smiles on their faces.

Anton could see that Romina and Luna were studying the events closely and were taking down notes. Everyone here was a newbie when it came to Cosplay Conventions, and Anton knew that this would become a regular thing in the future. He was sure of that because Romina would make it so, since it was something that would attract a lot of people to watch movies.

While Anders and Anton were roaming about, Romina joined them.

“Anton, can we open a new cinema that specializes in television shows? Anna told me about some of the television shows that the family had watched during their travels. According to her, TV show episodes usually last for only around 40 minutes to an hour, and each season of TV shows usually contains around 10 to 50 episodes. I already purchased the neighboring building,” Romina said.

“I’m fine with it, but are you sure you can handle it? You have so many responsibilities already,” Anton said.

“I can handle it. Besides, my main focus is still the cinema. Luna wanted to handle the fashion magazine in the future, and if Alfred wanted to join the business, he could handle the television show business if he wanted, but in the meantime, I would, of course, hire capable people to assist me.”

Anton looked at his father, who simply shrugged, and Anton just nodded at Romina. They then talked about which Television shows she wanted to show first. It appeared that Anna had already shared some information with her and had already chosen Xena: Warrior Princess.

Romina’s initial plan was that the television shows' new episodes would be shown in the cinema next door every week, and the tickets would be much more affordable so that even regular folks could watch them without affecting their finances too much. Anton immediately handed the first three episodes of Xena to Romina, who handed them to her secretary, who was surrounded by Romina’s bodyguards.

After forty minutes, the secretary returned after she finished copying the episodes using magic item recorders, so Anton handed the next three episodes.

Anton knew that having only the capability of handing out three mini globes of his browser sharing spell was limiting him, so he tried sending a message to his system that he required more through the use of the search bar.

Soon, he received a message from his system that he was now able to create up to ten mini globes for browser sharing. Even though Anton expected his system to accommodate him, he was still a little surprised at its responsiveness.

Romina was surprised that Anton handed her 10 globes, and he simply told her that his magic had evolved. What surprised Anton was that after a few minutes, Romina’s secretary came back after a few minutes. Apparently, already had a bunch of people prepared to copy the episodes and had prepared countless amounts of magic item recorders.

Xena only had 134 episodes, so Anton knew that by tomorrow, copying all the episodes would be completed.
