My Girlfriend Is So Beautiful, But She's an Assassin!-Chapter 83: Relay Race
The teachers served as referees for each match, and all student council members assisted them in preparing for the competition. The first half was a match between the 11th graders. Cheers echoed throughout the school field—all classes were cheering for their representatives. The representatives ran towards their teammates, who were waiting for their turn to carry the red and white relay batons. Each 11th grade class leader encouraged their representatives.
"LET’S GO, 11-SW, YOU CAN DO IT!"
"FIGHT, KALEN, MAKE CLASS 11-HW WIN!"
"DON’T LOSE, CLASS 11-B, YOU CAN DO IT!"
"KEEP YOURSELF ON, BRIAN! BRING CLASS 11-FA TO THE WIN!"
"DURIA, YOU CAN DO IT! EVEN THOUGH OUR CLASS IS ALL GIRLS, CLASS 11-DA CAN DEFINITELY WIN!"
"JOYCE! DON’T LOSE! QUICKLY GIVE IT TO JULIAN!"
"Haa... Haa... Haaa..." Joyce’s voice was breathless.
Joyce reached Julian’s position.
"H-here... I’ll leave the rest to you" Joyce said, handing the relay baton to Julian.
"Leave it to me!" Julian said enthusiastically.
Julian ran fast and managed to outrun six representatives. The audience was a little surprised to see Julian outrun all their representatives in a matter of seconds.
"Wh-who’s that guy!?"
"He’s running so fast..."
"H-he’s Anindya’s boyfriend, right?"
"Y-yeah, he’s so fast."
But the audience didn’t give up; they continued to support their representative. Julian, who feeling unstoppable, glanced toward Anindya’s class tent and saw Anindya smiling happily. But when she noticed Julian’s gaze, she immediately looked away.
"Hmph!"
"Aahh~, why is she such a tsundere?" Julian asked himself with a flat expression as he stared at Anindya.
Julian reached the finish line and was greeted by Silica. Silica handed him a bottle of mineral water with her right hand.
"Thanks for your hard work~" Silica said with a sweet smile.
"Thanks..." Julian said as he took the bottle.
Exhausted, Julian accidentally touched Silica’s right hand. Both of them were immediately a little surprised.
"Ah, s-sorry" Julian said, his cheeks reddening.
"N-nothing" Silica said, her cheeks flushing.
Suddenly, Julian felt an intimidating aura from behind him. He shivered and looked back—he found Anindya standing, staring at him with a jealous expression and exuding an intimidating aura. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
"W-what?" Julian asked, questioning.
Julian didn’t speak, but Anindya could tell from his lips and expression—he was asking a question.
"Hmph!" Anindya said, turning her head to the right.
"What’s wrong with her? She looks like she’s been angry the whole time" Julian asked himself, confused.
Not wanting to dwell on it any further, Julian returned to his class canopy, where many of his classmates were already relaxing.
"Class 11-D is expected to head to the field soon, because the competition will start soon" Rembulan said.
Anindya looked ahead and walked with her classmates to the field.
"Hee~, so she’s participating in this competition, huh?" Julian asked himself with a look of amazement.
Julian glanced at Anindya’s shirt.
"Ohh~, I just noticed she’s wearing a light green shirt with a picture of a knight kneeling and kissing a princess’s right hand, and she’s wearing knee-length sweatpants" Julian thought to himself.
"Did she just change her clothes?" Julian wondered.
Julian placed his right cheek on his right palm and muttered.
"Plus her ponytail and she tucked the hem of her shirt into her pants... It makes her look so... Beautiful" Julian said, his cheeks flushed.
One of the female student council members stepped forward to act as referee. She was cute, 150 cm tall and weighed 65 kg, wearing a white T-shirt with a pink rabbit head logo and black knee-length shorts. Her hair was in white twintails and her eyes were blue. Her name was Gabrela Camillia.
"Is everyone ready~?" Gabrela asked, who was temporarily replacing Mr. Yusuf as the relay referee.
All the participants took their ready positions. Julian glanced at Anindya.
"So she’s the Anchor leg like me?" Julian wondered.
"Bang!" The starter’s pistol fired.
All the participants immediately ran. The cheers of the crowd erupted again, mingling with shouts of support from each class canopy. A light dust rose from the field as the first runners accelerated as fast as they could.
"LET’S GO, 11-C, FIGHT!"
"SAGARA! FIGHT FOR OUR CLASS!"
"LET’S GO, LADY ANINDYA, DON’T LOSE!" shouted Anindya’s fans from class 11-H.
"YOU GUYS!... WHY ARE YOU SUPPORTING ANOTHER CLASS, HUH!?" said the class leader of class 11-H, annoyed.
The fans immediately shrank and regretted it, while Julian could only smile awkwardly at the sight.
"HERE IT IS, THE PRINCESS HAS RECEIVED THE RED AND WHITE BATON FROM OUR SCHOOL PRINCE!!" Yusuf shouted enthusiastically.
"H-haa... Lady, I’ll leave it to you..." Sagara said an exhausted.
"Leave it to me, I won’t need long to finish this!" Anindya said confidently.
Anindya pulled her right leg back and immediately ran.
"ANINDYA IMMEDIATELY RUNNING AND—" Yusuf continued.
The entire audience was stunned to see Anindya run so fast. In a moment Anindya reached the finish line in 1 minute, unlike Julian who needed 2,5 minutes.
"W-what the hell!," Julian thought to himself, his expression completely shocked as he stared at Anindya.
"I-I knew she wasn’t an ordinary girl, but I never thought she could be faster than me!" Julian continued to think.
Anindya started to look at Julian, slightly surprised by the sudden stare. Anindya still looked untired and wasn’t sweating. Soon, Anindya smiled arrogantly at Julian. Julian was annoyed by the smile.
"Ugh! Damn it, if her class meets mine... I’ll beat her!" Julian thought to himself with an annoyed expression.
After that, the race continued until 11:30.
At 11:30.
The race was stopped for 45 minutes. The atmosphere was very calm, the wind was blowing gently, and clouds obscured the sun—no overcast or drizzle, as if the weather was favorable that day. All the participants sat in their respective tents, some playing with their phones, sleeping, eating, and getting massages from the girls in their class.
However, some students returned to their classrooms because they wanted to cool off in the air-conditioned rooms, while others went to the rooftops for some peace and quiet. So, some students simply watched the match from the windows and rooftops of each building.
"Test!... Test!... Test!..." Yusuf said, who was testing his microphone.
Everyone turned toward the source of the voice.
"ASSALAMU’ALAIKUM—GOOD AFTERNOON EVERYONE!!!" Yusuf shouted enthusiastically.
"WAALAIKUMSALAM—GOOD AFTERNOON!!!" everyone replied, who heard the voice.
"So you’re all still in high spirits, huh? I LOVE YOUR FIRE GUYS!" Yusuf said with a grin.
All the students smiled at that.
"Okay, now you guys take a 45 minute break, then we’ll go straight to the finals" Yusuf said.
Yusuf took a folded piece of paper, unfolded it, and held it up with his right hand. He looked at the students in front of him.
"While we’re taking a break, I’ll announce the list of classes that have qualified for the final round" Yusuf said.
All eyes were on the Announcer canopy—even those in the windows of the buildings and on the rooftops. The atmosphere began to fall silent, as the students stared intently at the canopy. Realizing this, Yusuf smiled.
"IN THIS FINAL ROUND, WE ONLY TAKE 5 CLASSES," Yusuf said.
"SO, WITHOUT FURTHER ADO, HERE IS THE LIST OF CLASSES THAT QUALIFIED TO THE FINAL ROUND!" Yusuf continued.
"FIRST IS 12-S!" Yusuf continued.
All the 12-S students, who had chosen to erect a canopy in the school garden, shouted happily because their class had qualified for the final.
"I-I think our seniors are in the school garden, so I can’t see them, I can only hear your shouts, hahaha," Yusuf said with an awkward laugh.
"Let it be, I’m happy for you, seniors" Yusuf continued.
Yusuf looked back down at the paper.
"OKAY, NEXT IS CLASS 10-FA!" said Yusuf.
The 10-FA students immediately screamed happily.
"Wow, it looks like class 10-FA is all girls, huh~?" Yusuf asked happily.
"Hahaha, yes, but we can’t be underestimated just because we’re all girls~" the 10-FA class leader said confidently.
"I see, if any of you are still single, you can chat me on WhatsApp, because I’m still single too" Yusuf said with a confident smile.
The 10-FA students immediately wore awkward expressions. Students from other classes immediately shouted at Yusuf.
"DON’T USE YOUR POSITION TO FLIRT, YOU LONELY STUDENT COUNCIL PRESIDENT!!" one male student shouted.
"WOOOOHH!!!..."
"AHAHAHA, CHILL EVERYBODY CHILL, I’M JUST KIDDING!" Yusuf said with an enthusiastic laugh.
"UKHM!, OK ENOUGH, I’LL READ THE NEXT CLASS" Yusuf continued.
All the students immediately fell silent.
"UKHM!" Yusuf cleared his throat.
"Okay, next is class 12-M!" Yusuf said.
All the class 12-M immediately shouted happily.
"Great, next is class 11-M!" Yusuf said.
Silica immediately jumped happily.
"HOORAY!!!" Silica shouted.
As she landed, Silica hugged her classmates girls.
"Great, this is the last class to make it to the finals..." Yusuf said.
Yusuf looked ahead—at the canopies.
"...This class is the class with a princess and a prince..." Yusuf continued with a smile.
Yusuf raised his voice.
"YES, THAT’S CLASS 11-D!!!" Yusuf shouted, pointing to the canopy of Anindya’s classroom, which was to his right.
The entire class of 11-D immediately screamed, and Desy immediately hugged Delima, Wulan, and Anindya.
"YAY! WE DID IT!" Desy shouted happily.
"YES, WE DID IT!" Wulan shouted happily.
"This is all thanks to Anindya, who runs so fast" Delima said.
"A-ahahaha, thank you for the compliment" Anindya said with an awkward smile.
Julian, sitting cross-legged under his classroom canopy, could only stare at them with a normal expression
"Hee, then I’ll be one of her opponents, huh? As the Anchor leg" Julian thought to himself.
"ALRIGHT, those were the classes that made it to the finals. I congratulate all of you" Yusuf said.
"For those who didn’t make it, don’t be sad. There are still many other matches you can win!," Yusuf continued.
"I conclude my announcement. Thank you for your attention. Assalamu’alaikum—good afternoon" Yusuf continued.
All the students returned the greeting and went back to rest.
