My Hitman System-Chapter 181: Concealment Test (1)
Chapter 181: Concealment Test (1)
Jin returned with Shadow and Specy in tow and found Ice was already present, waiting for them.
"All right, line up and take your food," Brown said and started serving the food.
While they were eating, he informed Ice and the others, "Just so you know, one of you has already passed the final test."
All their heads simultaneously turned towards Jin and looked at him with widened eyes.
Brown snickered seeing this reaction and continued, "You’ve guessed right. It’s this crazy bastard. Not only did he finish the test, but he has also requested to take another one."
"The hell?!! Zed, have you lost your mind?" Shadow asked in disbelief.
"Yes, Zed. You shouldn’t risk your life like this. You’ve already passed the test." Specy commented.
"Are you really sure about it?" Ice also raised her concerns.
Seeing their reaction, Jin smiled. He could feel that they all cared for him and felt very thankful.
"There’s no need to worry. Nothing will happen to me as I’m very confident," Jin stated.
Seeing the clarity in his eyes, they realised that he had made his decision and would not change it.
"You better not mess up, alright?!" Shadow roared. Similar sentiments were also present in Specy and Ice’s expression, who wished me luck with a nod.
’This is the first batch where the team has bonded so well. Most of the time, they all want to kill each other until the end,’ Brown thought while taking a bite from his plate.
The lunch was soon finished, and Shadow, Ice and Specy returned to their training places.
Meanwhile, Jin was told to wait there by Brown, who had gone inside the hut to prepare something.
An hour later, he returned with bundles of sheets in his hand and started addressing Jin.
"As you know, the Concealment test will be divided into two stages. Theory and Practicals.
We’ll do the theory part now, which will be of fifty marks. As for practical, I don’t need to brief you about it since it’s the same test which you were made to do on the first day of Concealment training."
With that said, Brown took Jin to the tent where Ice was currently going through some books.
It was a tent filled with various concealment equipment and related books.
Ice looked at them inquisitively, and Brown answered her query, "I’ll be conducting Zed’s theory part of the test in here. Stay here and pay attention to it, as it may help you with your preparation."
Ice’s eyes glimmered, and she immediately nodded. She picked up her chair and seated herself at the side.
Meanwhile, Jin was made to sit at the centre of the tent and was soon handed a sheet and writing material.
"You got thirty minutes to write all that you know," Brown said and sat on a chair to observe Jin.
Jin first glanced through all the questions. There were a few he didn’t know the answer to, but he didn’t worry.
He opened up the system panel and the next moment upgraded his concealment skill to ’A’ grade.
Loads of information and techniques entered his mind, and with a confident expression, he started writing the answers on the sheets that were provided to him.
Brown had also passed a copy of the question paper to Ice for reference, so she too tried to answer the questions in her mind.
’It’s much harder than I expected...’ She thought after twenty minutes had elapsed.
She has gone through all the questions and found it difficult to even score a sixty per cent with her current knowledge base.
She worriedly looked towards Jin, who was engrossed in writing his answers and hoped for the best.
"I’m done," Jin said, handing out the sheet to Brown just a minute before thirty minutes had elapsed.
Brown started checking the answer sheets the very next moment.
’Right’
’Right’
.
.
.
The more Brown went through his answer, the more creases appeared on his forehead.
It was not that Jin’s answers were wrong, but that they were more than just right.
’Such detailed analysis...’ Brown thought in surprise. Even he would struggle to write such details on the go.
This was the second time that Jin had completely shocked him.
Brown then proceeded to the oral part of the test.
"Alright, now let’s begin your oral part of the test now shall we?" Brown said while placing the checked papers beside him.
"Ready anytime," Jin said confidently.
Brown saw it as a challenge and, wanting to make things difficult for him, started with a tough question.
"Tell all the precautions one needs to be sure of when they are concealing themselves underwater, while at it also name the required equipment you would be needing along with their functions and in case those equipment fails to work, what would be the suitable actions?"
’Oho...so he wants to make it tough for me? Too bad, that’s not possible,’
"When one is underwater..."
Jin smiled and answered the question and the follow-up questions in a serial order, mentioning all the requisite details.
By the end of his answer, Brown clicked his tongue and proceeded to ask other questions, but this time they weren’t as difficult as the first one.
Ice witnessed the whole exchange with immense attention.
At first, she was bewildered by the difficulty of the questions that were asked, but soon used it as an opportunity to gain more knowledge.
Each answer that was given by Jin contained such in-depth knowledge that her admiration for him reached new heights.
Brown was finally finished up with the questions and stood up, "That will be all for the theory. Congratulations, you’ve scored a full fifty marks in this part.
However, it’s too soon to celebrate since the practical is still left. Oh, and this time, I’ll be using real bullets, so do your best. frёeweɓηovel_coɱ
Normally, I’m supposed to just shoot at non-fatal points, but since you only have one chance to succeed this time, I’ll be aiming for your head."
Brown snickered, wanting to see a hint of fear on Jin’s face, but was disappointed.
"When the sun sets, I’ll come to take you and drop you off at your spot. Prepare yourself until then." With that said, Brown left the tent.
