My Life In A Fantasy, Women-Dominated World-Chapter 158: Do it. Kill Them.
"AAAHHHHHH!"
Like a little girl that experienced pain for the first time, Aaron screamed.
He held back no reservations, his mind working in overdrive as his instincts took over himself, narrowing his eyes onto a distant mushfolk and activating his reverse senses in an instant.
But obviously, the mushfolks weren’t retarded enough to leave a ’monster’ of his capabilities unchecked with mana.
No matter how hard he tried to control his mana, it refused to answer his calls, swimming in his blood dormantly.
His overbearing 500+ magic stats, the 2x connection to mana, nothing helped him as he screamed in pain for 5 minutes straight.
Every nerve on his body spasmed and trembled with pain, burning as if it was getting fried by electric signals that were travelling through his body.
It pained him so bad that Aaron wished for death just to end this agony, but there was nothing he could do except writhe in that pain until it began to subside.
As fast as it had come, it went away.
For a second, Aaron believed that maybe that pain never existed at all and he was simply imagining it, but after revisiting those agonizing 5 minutes, he dropped that thought.
There was no way that the pain didn’t exist.
It definitely did.
"Did it hurt?" The great elder asked in a leveled, cold tone as if his agony meant nothing to her.
Aaron grit his teeth, glaring at the tall mushroom woman with hate, "Did you not hear my screams... woman?"
His heart was screaming at him to curse that mushroom bitch out, but his reasonable side of the brain knew that it would be a bad idea.
As although he wished for death during that agony, he didn’t actually want to die yet.
There was much left that he still hadn’t achieved in the new world of Solaris. There was no way he would die so easily.
"I did, but I do not know if they were of pain or something else." She replied mildly, but the faint curl of her lips told him that the sadistic bitch was definitely enjoying it.
"..." He stayed silent for a long while, glaring at her while she stared back at him without saying a thing.
"Yes it hurted." He answered finally.
"I’m glad." The great elder nodded, and before he could get mad about her response, his heart chilled down at her next words:
"That was a poison. A gruesome extract that’s forbidden to brew as it can only be brewed by the sacrifice of quite a few gold shrooms."
He couldn’t care less about the lore behind it... but the first statement...
"This poison will flare up every 3 days for a total of 9 days, as on the ninth day, the agony wouldn’t stop until it burns you to a crisp from inside." She smirked widely, "Only I know the recipe to its antidote and no one else.
And... I wouldn’t mind dying once if it means bringing down the monster that ruined my chances to win the Grand Feast."
Shivers crawled down Aaron’s spine at the thought of experiencing that gruesome pain again.
It was so, so bad that he would’ve committed suicide due to it without even waiting for the 9 days timer.
Thus he could only swallow his rising fury and grit his teeth as he said, "What do you want?"
"Alyssa’s plan. Destroy supplies of other tribes, steal their gold shrooms for me and then, only then I will give you the antidote." The great elder scoffed.
"How many tribes do I need to steal from and how far are they?" he asked.
"Distance I do not know as your speed would be incomparable to ours, however I believe stealing from only 5 tribes would be enough for me to win." She answered calmly.
Aaron had a few more questions, but those were the questions that he would like to ask from a position of power which was at least comparable to her leverage.
Currently he had no way to ensure his safety and the great elder could easily get him executed if she wished to do so.
So... "I will do it." he said.
The great elder released a low hum from her mouth, looking over Aaron’s head and nodding once.
From several body parts, Aaron felt a small prick, as if someone just removed something from them.
The numbness in his limbs began to subside, allowing him to gain a slight control over them.
Aaron tried to flex his arms, opening and closing his fingers before wincing and slowly pushing himself off the ground.
"STOPPPP!"
Several mushfolks screamed at once as they fell off his back and body, sending them tumbling on the ground.
Aaron didn’t stop as he stood on his knees, towering over all the rest of the rest.
Even the largest of them all, the great elder couldn’t compare to his size at all.
And the first thing that Aaron did after getting up was look at Alyssa with a side-eye, before suddenly reaching out and grabbing both her and the little mushroom girl into his hands.
The poor mushfolks were incapable of reacting to his moves as he was too fast for their tiny bodies.
"Harm them and you will die the most gruesome death known to your entire race." The great elder said calmly, acting like she didn’t care about those two in the slightest.
"Oh no need to worry, I would rather kill myself than give you the pleasure of seeing me in pain again. But, I would do that AFTER destroying your whole tribe." Aaron threatened.
"Do it." She spat, looking up at the looming threat above her.
His clenched fists tightened slightly, making both the little girl and Alyssa scream in pain and fear, but the elder appeared to be unfazed.
"Just so you know, they wouldn’t die."
Just like that, the pressure he was applying vanished, his mouth parting slightly as he stared at the great elder in disbelief.
Sensing his disbelief, she only smirked.
"We of mushfolks are not biologically reproduced but grown with extensive care and time. We never truly die, but just reborn. So... I will say it again.
Do it. Kill them."
