My Life In A Fantasy, Women-Dominated World-Chapter 72: Laby Road
The Labyrinth area, despite being closed for the raids, was still as lively as always.
Many raiders and adventurers roamed around, dressed in heavy plated armours, some carrying weapons while others walked unarmed.
Just like any dangerous place, the sex ratio in the area was greatly skewed into the women’s favour.
For nearly 10 girls, there was a single guy.
And even the single guy, no matter how mediocre, was easily approached by one or two ladies that matched his attractiveness levels.
For a 3/10 guy, he was approached by a few 3 or 4/10 ladies.
As for above 6-7/10 guys? There was not a single chance that any of them would not be approached.
But that was the case for other, newbie people.
Not for Aaron.
Even though he looked better than most guys, not a single woman approached him.
And the reason for that was quite obvious, as Aaron walked with a casual suave, a wide smile adorning his face.
In his arms, Claire sat quietly. Her face burned with embarrassment as Aaron carried her like a princess through the busiest street on the Laby road.
As they passed a medical store, Claire tugged his shirt and shyly pointed at the store, wordlessly requesting him to put her out of her misery and let her get a pair of crutches.
But Aaron shook his head.
"Both of your legs are in a bad condition, love. Crutches will only delay your healing. I am here, no?"
Claire felt like crying, even more so when her statically enhanced, high levelled ears picked up the surrounding chatter.
"Holy shit! Look! A man is carrying a woman!"
Some commented openly, teasing in hushed voices, while others just laughed seeing the pair.
It felt like quite an exaggerated response, but it wasn’t.
It was the same as seeing a young, gentle looking girl carrying a tall, handsome man in a princess carry while walking through a shopping street.
No matter the ethnicity, a laugh was guaranteed.
Thus, walking through the laughter and amusement, which felt like a walk of shame for Claire, the couple reached a big, cement building.
Outside of the building, Jaq stood while chewing on a gum, blowing bubbles as she scrolled her phone with a bored expression.
"Jaq." Claire called out softly.
Still engrossed in her phone, Jaq grumbled without looking up, "Wow. Came so fast, didn’t you? Why not come half an hour la–"
While speaking, Jaq finally raised her head from the phone, and saw Claire settled in Aaron’s arms, in a princess carry.
A laugh slipped off her.
"Oh–" she cackled, "No worries! I don’t mind waiting at all!"
"Very funny." Claire clicked her tongue, flicking an empty plastic wrapper at Jaq’s head.
Jaq easily avoided the incoming wrapper, holding her stomach as she laughed exaggeratedly to piss Claire even more.
And no doubt, she would have continued to do so if Aaron didn’t intervene.
"So... Claire told me that you know a good weaponsmith?" he asked with a slight smile.
Jaq, pausing from her laughter, nodded, "Yep that’s what I am here for. Though I am curious why you brought that useless bandaged Clay with you? Should’ve just come alone."
"Why?" Aaron shrugged his shoulders, "She is going to be my teacher so isn’t it good to bring her along?"
Jaq looked up at him, surprised about his words before easily shaking them off.
"Makes sense, well, let’s go. I need to farm some smaller missions for exp later." She giggled softly at Claire before turning around and skipping up the stairs.
Aaron followed behind her, heading into the cemented building.
The instant his legs hit the doorways, cold was whipped away from Aaron’s body.
Through his layered clothes, he began to sweat due to the intense heat from the hearth.
Regardless, he followed after her swiftly.
"So are we looking for a magic weapon or just a cold weapon?" Jaq slowed down her speed and questioned.
Claire glanced up at Aaron, scoffing at the pointlessness of the question. "Magic." she said.
"A magic swordstaff, hmm, got it."
After getting the confirmation, Jaq slid into the light as the long doorways of the building finally ended.
It was quite small and cramped from within, covered with thick walls all around that killed any cold that dared to enter this smithy.
Huge, bright LED panels were installed at the ceiling that kept the inside well lit, as the forge was hidden behind a thick concrete wall.
A small cubical cash counter was cut out of the wall, and a young, beautiful lady was stationed at it.
However, she looked different than any other human that Aaron had yet encountered.
Her skin glistened with a dark tan, appearing slightly orange. Her body was well defined, abs boldly showing on her core and a metallic leather bra that held her breasts tight.
But if that was all, Aaron won’t have been surprised.
Her hair was parted, tied into two ponytails with each side of hair being differently coloured.
The left part was pink, while the right was black.
And the uniqueness didn’t end there as her pupils were also differently coloured, the right pupil being pink and left being black.
With the addition of slightly pointed ears, Aaron couldn’t even begin to guess her race.
It definitely wasn’t a human, but then what else?
She was short, only 5’ 1 inch tall. But that was still in the realm of a human’s height as Nancy was also of a similar stature.
Though he wasn’t able to overthink her race as Jaq spared no time in moving to the counter, leaning against it with a bored expression.
"Sup, can you show me some magic swordstaffs?" she asked.
The cashier lady’s professional smile turned into a snarl, "You think we keep magic weapons in stock or what? That too for such an underused weapon? You think we got too much time on our hands or what?"
Jaq raised her hands in surrender, "My bad my bad, I overestimated your stock."
The cashier’s eyelids twitched, "You came here to waste my time with nonsense again?"
"Nay," Jaq waved her hand, pointing at Aaron, "This fine young man wanted a magic swordstaff. I thought your talents could shine here, but I guess I overestimated you again." She shook her head in disappointment.
The cashier’s eyes swept to the side, finally noticing Aaron who was sweating slightly from the heat, while holding Claire in his arms with ease.
She instantly fixed her relaxed posture, retaining her professional charm yet again as she looked at him in amusement.
"Magic weapon? For a man?"
