Chapter 40: What a F*cking day!

Looking over Fang He’s corpse, Mu Jiaojiao snorted coldly. "That is what you get for torturing me all this time!"

She then performed a complicated hand seal and the corpse suddenly sat up.

This was the <Strings of Puppetry> technique that allowed one to temporarily control corpses. The founder of the Desolate Yin sect had created this technique after slaughtering ten villages in ancient times, only to find out that there was no way to carry all the corpses at once.

The legend said that he was being pursued by the damnable hypocrites of the so called Righteous Faction and needed to quickly refine many Jiangshi.

Jiangshi refining could only be done one corpse at a time, and yet he needed to refine several hundred.

To do this, he had to carry the corpses over to his immortal cave and make a corpse refining array, but there were several hundred corpses.

Thus, he directly extracted his Qi into threads that intertwined all the corpses, allowing him to drag them all back at the same time.

Later on, this Desolate Yin sect founder decided to develop this technique further during his lifetime, and it became the temporary corpse controlling technique that it was today.

It’s execution was extremely simple, one just had to use their Qi to form strands that would connect with the joints of the corpse, then they would be able to control it as though it were an extension of their body!

This way, Fang He’s corpse jumped to it’s feet and slapped itself twice, before proceeding to walk a step behind Mu Jiaojiao as she left the scene. Her cherry red lips slowly curled up into a smile.

The corpse of a Third Circle True Master realm cultivator would make a very powerful Jiangshi once she refined it!

She had truly benefited a lot!

Firstly, she had gotten a very powerful Jiangshi. Then, she had killed Fang He after making him suffer the ravaging that he himself had made her suffer.

All that was left was to disguise the Jiangshi so that no one would recognize it, and then report to the Sect Master that a powerful cultivator was antagonizing the sect, having killed both her father and Fang He.

To nip potential problems in the bud, surely the Sect Master would hire powerful assassins to take care of that fellow!

Haha, Xiao Shen, your time to live is not too long!

Mu Jiaojiao chuckled to herself. Her luck was rather really good tonight, and her mood improved as a result.

This night, beneath the silver rays of moonlight, a fair fairy maiden and a burly man walked into the horizon and vanished from view. They were heading for her secret immortal cave so that she could attempt to refine Fang He’s corpse into a Jiangshi and disguise it. After that, she would head straight for the Desolate Yin sect!

"Ahhh..." Xiao Shen sighed in relief as he crashed on the bed.

The softness seemed to swallow him as all his bones made creaking sounds. "Ah~"

He made a pleased groan and stretched himself out on the bed.

What a f*cking day!

Xiao Shen thought as his chest rose and fell in a deep yawn.

In one day, he had experienced things that many people would never experienced in their lifetime!

No, he had experienced things that many people would never ever experience, even in ten lifetimes!

Tiredness swiftly overwhelmed his person and he felt his eyelids turn heavy.

The walk back was especially tiring since he had to first take Tian Hua and Fairy Virtuous Nun of Good Karma to the other female dormitory, before heading back to his own.

He felt so tired that sleeping for a full day would not be enough to reinvigorate him!

And, to make matters worse, the bunk above him carried a jocky fellow called Xue ’Kevin’ Waoming, who lay snoring like a pig.

Humans had something called the herd instinct. This was the reason why one would yawn when someone else did, and why one would laugh at a joke they did not understand simply because everyone was laughing.

Xiao Shen’s breathing turned deeper as he stretched one more time and covered his body with a blanket so that he would not catch a cold. After all, it was a well known fact that, the hotter the day, the colder the night!

[Uwaah! Sleepy Anchor looks so cute! (☆▽☆)]

[Good night, Anchor!~😪]

[Sleep tight and don’t let the bedbugs bite!]

A few messages appeared in his life stream as his vision blurred and he fell completely asleep.

Somewhere else, well, it was actually the other female dormitory, Tian Hua was cutely curled up into a ball beneath her blanket. Her soft snores were pleasant to the ears, unlike the harsh pig-like snoring of Xue ’Kevin’ Waoming.

If Xiao Shen were here, turn surely he would regret every having the fellow as a roommate!

Fairy Virtuous Nun of Good Karma lay face up on her bed with both her fair, slender hands place on her flat stomach. Her eyes were closed and there was a very peaceful and genial soft smile on her face.

The smile was so very genial~

Fairy Virtuous Nun of Good Karma seemed as though asleep, but, in fact, she was actually using her mental energy to scan the entire University Town for any Qi energy.

The average Cultivator had three main types of energy; Mental energy that came from the mind, Qi that came from the dantians, and soul energy that came from one’s soul.

Mental energy was directly released from the brain and allowed one to ’see’ their surroundings from a god’s eye view sort of plane. It was very useful in tracking and observing.

Qi was the main energy used by a cultivator and was stored in the dantians. It was used to operate special weapons and armor, or to execute martial techniques.

Soul energy, however, was rather special as it’s only function was to activate a life bound soul weapon.

As a Fourth Circle Greater Master realm cultivator, her mental energy deserves were extremely large. She could confidently spread it round the whole University Town more than ten times over!

No Cultivator trying to sneak in would be able to escape her notice!
