My SSS-Rank Clone Talent: I Level Up Endlessly!-Chapter 371: Picking Sides!?
Drayken woke up the next day with groggy eyes, rubbing the rheum out from the corner of his eyes. His pupils flashed with a hint of fascination remembering the night.
"Did you wake up already?" Synthia yawned tiredly, her eyes still closed as she twisted and turned in her bed, completely sulked.
"Yes." Drayken replied with a warm smile, separating the strands of her blue hair to reveal her beautiful face, "You look gorgeous." he commented lightly.
Synthia squinted her eyes, with clear wrinkles visible on her forehead, "You too."
"Haha." Drayken chuckled again, even with those wrinkles she looked even more pretty.
"How do you have so much energy?" She quietly muttered, remembering last night, even till now, her muscles ached from the slightest hint of movement, her face filled with mixture of exhaustion and satisfaction.
"Hahaha." Drayken laughed out loud, walking out of the bed before stretching his body as much as possible, "You are underestimating my stamina."
"Hmph." Synthia pouted, turning away from Drayken and becoming silent right after.
While Drayken completed his set of exercises and calmed his boiling blood, closing his eyes to settle the strength coursing through his body. He felt something seemed to have changed within him, he couldn't tell what it was exactly though.
Once he completed it all, he turned to sit back on the bed, ready to spend some more time with his lovely wife.
Just as he laid down on the bed, Synthia spoke, "You should leave."
"Eh?" Drayken looked at her, clearly stunned, "Why would I leave my beautiful wife?"
"Because you need to go to the pond." Synthia sighed.
"No, I wanna spend more time with you." Drayken hugged her and refused to budge even a muscle.
Synthia helplessly smiled, "You are acting stubborn, you know you could spend all the time with me after coming out of the pond, isn't that why you married me in the first place?"
"Huh?" Drayken paused, he touched her chin and made her look into his eyes, "In what sense did you think about that?"
"Isn't that the reason?" Synthia jokingly curved the corner of her lips.
"No, I did it simply because you were too beautiful." He spoke sternly, staring at her intently.
Drayken was speaking from his heart, Synthia was beautiful and he was eternally grateful for having such a beautiful wife.
"Haha." Synthia started to chuckle, "You are lying."
"I am not lying." Drayken honestly spoke.
For a moment, the two just stared at each other and time pressed by in the blink of an eye. Finally, she pushed him with her palm. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
"I am tired right now so don't think about it, just go and learn Arts."
Synthia spoke and turned to the other side, her back now facing against Drayken as she closed her eyes, soon falling asleep quickly.
"How did she know?" Drayken felt a little speechless as he slowly walked up to the open window, and looked outside.
The streets were bustling with activities, dragon children playing on the streets and some dragon people calling out their goods, it was a quaint, bustling scene.
Drayken closed his eyes, even in the chaos of the streets, he felt peace at heart. High up in the palace, he could observe everyone around the place in peace.
"This is not so bad." He commented lightly, humming in a tune. After some time, he turned around and quietly walked out of the door.
There were two guards guarding the entrance, they bowed respectfully the moment they saw Drayken, shouting, "Crown prince."
"Hmm." Drayken also nodded his head in silence, luckily there was a sound proof mechanism in the room, so loud noises didn't get around.
Anyway now he was officially the heir to the throne, once Kaizer retired then he would finally ascend to the position as the King.
As he walked outside, there was already a group of Dragon people patiently waiting for him. The moment they saw him, they all immediately bowed their heads.
"Dragon prince." All of them spoke with respect brimming in their tone.
"Hmm."
Drayken casually nodded his head, eyeing them with a raise of his brows, even the weakest one of them emitted the presence of a Rank 6 dragons and there was a familiar figure mixed in as well.
It was a woman with long golden haired and crimson pupils, Eleanor, she was calmly standing there, motionlessly staring at him.
"Why have you come here?" Drayken spoke lightly.
"Well," One of the Rank Seven Dragons came forward, "We are here to escort you there."
"Why so many though?" Drayken asked.
"Because it is in a very difficult place." He barely spoke above a whisper.
"Oh, alright," Drayken calmly turned to Eleanor in the group, "And why are you here?"
"Me?" Eleanor pointed at herself with a quiver of her brows.
"Yes." He nodded his head.
"... I am here to escort you like the others."
"Didn't I tell you that we would have nothing to do with each other?" Drayken's brows knitted into a frown.
"..." Eleanor looked around, all the Rank Seven and even the Rank Six Dragons were all staring at her; she felt completely excluded from the group.
It was very clear to the outside gaze that Drayken and Eleanor seemed to have a conflict among themselves. And who among them had a higher status and power?
Drayken!
If it was before, then everyone would have chosen to remain by Eleanor's side, after all she was the strongest Rank Seven Dragon but now things were different.
Rather than picking sides with a rational thought, people always pick the strongest side, not to mention they were dragons, although there was a high unity among them and there would never be some outright conflict but subtle conflict was a guarantee for those who are in power!
"You, are you going to be that petty?" She came out of the group, step-by-step and directly stared at him.
"Yes." Drayken spoke without a blink of his eyes.
