Chapter 112: The Succubus Kiss

Hakuto’s wounds have almost entirely vanished.

From the few that remain, no blood flows—only a thick, pink liquid, eerily similar to the healing saliva of succubi.

His eyes, once dark brown, now shine with a vivid, electric violet.

From his back spread two massive wings—not made of flesh, but of pure energy particles, shaped exactly like Ana’s.

In the next instant, his entire body is covered by the diamond armor once again—but this time, it isn’t clear or colorless.

It’s tinted with purple hues, resembling quartz, and crackles with violet lightning.

Even his sword pulses with that same purple light.

Only the Sacred Flame around him remains the same, blazing with a bright, pure white glow.

~What... what just happened...?~

Hakuto can’t make sense of it. The only things he knows for sure are that he’s still alive—and that a new, foreign, and terrifyingly intense energy is coursing through his veins.

«Hakuto... now that our energies have merged into one, we can finally be together forever...»

Ana’s voice echoes in Hakuto’s head.

«To give your life to save the one you love... it’s the ultimate form of love, the greatest gift a succubus can offer her Soulmate: the Succubus Kiss. My spirit won’t last much longer, but I beg you, Hakuto... through your eyes, let me witness that man’s death. He shattered my soul and body in ways you can’t even imagine. I know it’s selfish of me to ask, but please—make my father suffer. Make that bastard pay more than he could ever dream! Fulfill this final wish of mine.»

Hakuto doesn’t yet understand the full meaning of Ana’s words—he has no way of knowing what Raelos put her through.

But in that instant, a rush of fragmented memories flashes through his mind.

Scenes of abuse, torture, and humiliation burn themselves into his consciousness.

A shiver of terror, hatred, and disgust runs through him as if that pain had been carved into his own flesh.

Rage ignites inside him, uncontrollable and raw.

~I’ll do it, Ana. I’ll make that bastard kneel and beg you for forgiveness for everything he did!~

He doesn’t speak the words aloud.

His thoughts alone carry the vow, as if he were speaking directly to her within his mind.

Raelos doesn’t need to ask what just happened between Hakuto and Ana—he knows all too well the capabilities of incubus and succubi.

«How dare you... how dare you steal the power that rightfully belonged to me?! Ana should have offered the Succubus Kiss to me—not to a worthless human! I’ll kill you both, Hakuto Tendo! You and that whore you carry inside!»

Lightning bursts even more violently around Raelos’s body, clashing with the bolts now crackling around Hakuto as well.

Raelos hurls himself forward like a thunderbolt—and Hakuto rushes in to meet him at the exact same speed.

—BOOOOM!

The impact between them levels the area.

Hakuto’s sword slashes at Raelos, who blocks with difficulty and counters with brutal lightning punches.

Hakuto matches each one, neither gaining ground—an intense deadlock.

«That power... damn you, Hakuto Tendo! That power doesn’t belong to you! No human is worthy of wielding it! You’ll die in agony, bastard!»

And then...

—SBAM!

Raelos’s fist lands an uppercut straight to Hakuto’s chin, launching him dozens of meters into the sky.

He follows immediately with a flying kick to the stomach, hurling Hakuto even higher—almost a hundred meters up.

Blood gushes from Hakuto’s mouth in thick streams.

Cracks spread across the crystalline armor at every impact point.

But the damage doesn’t last.

In an instant, that thick pink fluid floods his throat, slips down his esophagus, and spreads through his body.

It reaches and repairs the shattered armor from within and without.

Just like that, Hakuto is back in peak form. It’s as if he hadn’t even taken a hit.

~Now I understand... why Raelos was so desperate to force Ana’s body and mind to accept him as her Soulmate... this power—I’ve never felt anything like it! Regeneration rivaling the strongest vampires, and magic energy on par with the highest demons... With this, I can defeat Raelos. And everyone who dares to come after him~

Raelos charges again from above, but Hakuto spreads his energy wings at full power, halting mid-air and catching the incubus off guard.

—SWISH!

His quartz-like blade slams into Raelos’s chest.

This time, the wound runs deep.

Blood arcs from the gash—but it’s still not enough to end someone like Raelos.

«You damn brat...!» Raelos growls. «The combined power of you and that whore daughter of mine doesn’t even come close to matching mine! I’ll reduce you to ashes, you filthy bastard!»

The lightning around him grows so intense it begins to ionize the air in a massive radius, enveloping everything in a violent purple stormcloud.

The heat is unbearable.

Hakuto’s armor protects him from the electrical current in the air, but the countless sparks crashing against it are slowly wearing it down.

The pink fluid works to repair the damage, but it can’t keep up with the onslaught.

~At this rate, I’ll be overwhelmed! Ana gave her life to give me a shot at avenging her pain... I can’t let her sacrifice be in vain. I have to end this fight—now!~

A surge of violet lightning bursts from Hakuto’s body.

He charges forward, gritting his teeth, pushing through the searing heat and the paralyzing atmosphere.

But even with all his willpower, his speed has dropped.

The balance shifts.

Raelos now blocks Hakuto’s blows with ease—and counterattacks hard.

A brutal knee to the gut.

A crackling fist to the face.

The armor from his torso to his head fractures dangerously.

—SWISH!

Another sword strike from Hakuto—caught barehanded by Raelos, flames and lightning be damned.

«You know, Hakuto... for a moment, I almost thought I was in trouble. But clearly, I worried for nothing. After all, your strength is meaningless. Even with my daughter’s power multiplied to yours, the result doesn’t change. You humans learn this in school, right? Zero times anything still equals zero!»

Hakuto’s hands tighten on the hilt of his sword.

«That might be true... but sadly for you, I’ve never been good at math! Now... shut that damn mouth, bastard!»

The diamond blade begins to grow—rapidly. Spikes burst out from the edges one after another.

Larger. Heavier.

The Sacred Flame and electricity blaze more fiercely with each second.

Raelos is forced to release the grip and leap backward, narrowly dodging the now-massive blade that slams into the ground just shy of his face.

But it’s not over.

The enormous sword shatters into countless razor-sharp fragments that explode outward in every direction.

From such a short distance, Raelos has no chance of avoiding them.

The storm of flaming, electrified shards doesn’t pierce him entirely, but it stabs into him from every angle like needles into a doll.

A howl of pain and fury bursts from him, followed by a wave of plasma that blasts the fragments from his flesh.

Rivers of blood pour from the countless wounds covering Raelos’s body.
