My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!-Chapter 509: What’s Strange?
The two bodyguards went in to restrain Levin Thorne.
"Jared," Leon Rivers hurried in, lately there have been more and more troublesome matters, and seeing the frantic Levin Thorne gave him a headache.
Melody Thorne couldn’t bear to watch any longer and waited downstairs with Jared Quinn, her lower abdomen started to feel a bit uncomfortable; her hand instinctively went to her stomach.
"What’s wrong?" Jared’s eyes quickly darkened, "Feeling unwell?"
Melody nodded, "A little bit."
"Let’s go back," Jared thought of her reckless rush upstairs just now, his cool, stern features quickly filled with concern, and he picked her up to walk outside.
"Jared, I’m worried about my dad," Melody tried to get down, it was just a slight discomfort earlier, nothing that serious.
"With Leon there, nothing will happen," Jared refused to let her down, swiftly carrying Melody away.
The car drove all the way to the hospital, Dr. Mo had already gathered many famous doctors to find a solution, but the results weren’t very hopeful.
"What happened?" Dr. Mo subconsciously asked upon seeing Jared and Melody, "Are you feeling unwell?"
"How did you guess so accurately?" Melody looked at him in puzzlement.
Dr. Mo: "..."
"It’s hard for people who are already not in good health to take good care of themselves during pregnancy."
Moreover, when things aren’t managed well from the start, there’s a higher chance of miscarriage.
"Do another check-up for her," Jared ordered.
Dr. Mo: "...This is not just some condition that we can test at will, especially since frequent checks at this early stage aren’t good for the fetus either."
Jared’s crimson lips tightened, "She feels unwell."
And the hospital must find a solution.
"Then let’s do a check-up," Dr. Mo shrugged. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
"Didn’t you say the check-ups are bad for the body?"
Dr. Mo: "...But how do we find out the cause without a check-up?"
"Alright," Melody said, somewhat annoyed, "I just want to rest for a while; now I don’t feel uncomfortable anymore."
"Then perhaps it’s just fatigue," Dr. Mo concluded decisively.
"Then let’s get some rest," Jared spontaneously lifted her up and directly took her to the exclusive VIP room on the third floor.
Stay here to sleep to prevent Melody from feeling uncomfortable again.
"Dr. Mo," a young nurse stood in the corridor, holding a previous test report in her hand.
"What’s wrong?"
"This woman’s report is a bit strange, I think I’ve seen a case just like this before," the nurse said.
She remembered a woman who desperately wanted a child before; she would come to the hospital for a test whenever her period was late, later it turned out she wasn’t really pregnant.
Dr. Mo took the report, seeing the name marked as Melody Thorne; for a moment he felt caught in the wind, but previous tests showed nothing.
It was marked as pregnant on the report.
"What’s strange?"
"I think this woman shows signs of a false pregnancy, but currently, we can’t be sure," the nurse voiced her concern.
Dr. Mo’s expression changed several times, momentarily unsure whether to be happy or worried.
The good part was that they couldn’t solve Melody’s current pregnancy problem; if it wasn’t real, that would be best.
The worry was that it wasn’t noticeable yet, and he didn’t know how those two upstairs would react if they found out.
"Dr. Mo, should we tell them our concerns in advance?" the nurse suggested.
