My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!-Chapter 510: Did You Hear Everything?
"You go ahead, I’ll handle this," Dr. Mo said thoughtfully.
"Alright."
Melody Thorne had been sleeping at Jared Quinn’s company for the entire afternoon. She actually couldn’t fall asleep, and she just said that casually. She feared Jared wouldn’t be at ease, so she closed her eyes pretending to sleep.
"Young Master Jared," the VIP room door was gently pushed open. Dr. Mo saw Melody sleeping and dared to speak up, "Young Master Jared, let’s step outside for a moment; there’s something important."
After thinking it over, Dr. Mo felt it was better to inform Jared Quinn of the situation. At least one of them needed to understand the current situation.
Jared Quinn pulled the blanket over Melody slightly, ensuring she was asleep, before getting up and leaving the room with Dr. Mo.
"What’s the matter?" Jared Quinn stood by the window in the hallway.
Dr. Mo relayed what the nurse had said to Jared Quinn. "The gynecology department now suspects the possibility of a false pregnancy in the lady, but because it’s still early, it can’t be confirmed immediately. Currently, it’s uncertain whether this situation exists."
Jared Quinn’s dark eyes flickered. "What do you mean by ’false pregnancy?’"
"It’s likely an intense desire for a child, or overwhelming anxiety about having one, which can lead to this situation. The symptoms are similar to pregnancy, but it’s difficult to confirm in the short term."
It had only been half a month since Melody Thorne first thought she might be pregnant, making it difficult to confirm.
Jared Quinn squinted his eyes, recalling the moments Melody had been worried about the possibility of being pregnant. For a moment, he couldn’t identify the mixed emotions he felt—partly disappointed.
He hoped there would be a child between him and Melody Thorne, but under such circumstances, it’s not feasible.
If it’s a false pregnancy...
"Young Master Jared, should we inform her?" Dr. Mo suggested, "If she continues believing she’s pregnant, discovering it’s false later could be hard for her to accept."
After all, the disparity can be overwhelming.
Melody Thorne had been unable to sleep, knowing Jared Quinn and Dr. Mo had left, making it even harder to rest. She originally thought they’d walk far away for a discussion but didn’t expect them to be so close to the hospital room.
"Let’s wait," Jared Quinn said.
She’s believed she’s been pregnant these past few days, and knowing they have a child has made him happy, but today’s revelation was abrupt. Although it’s yet confirmed, the previous injection from Dr. Mo meant the chance of pregnancy was nearly impossible.
Hence, the likelihood of a false pregnancy is rather significant now.
"I think it’s best to let her know," Dr. Mo advised. "She probably won’t be unable to accept it; she was previously worried about being pregnant."
Jared Quinn turned around, his dark eyes suddenly reflecting Melody Thorne standing at the room’s entrance.
Dr. Mo noticed it too, suggesting she must have overheard, given her proximity. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
"Melody," Jared Quinn’s brows furrowed slightly as he strode towards her, hugging her tightly. "Did you hear everything?"
Melody Thorne bit Jared Quinn’s shoulder, suddenly feeling ashamed. She wasn’t pregnant; it was a false pregnancy, yet she’d been vomiting and uncomfortable, all the while Jared Quinn had treated her like a pregnant woman, caring for her over several days.
"Am I embarrassing myself?" she mumbled softly.
