My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!-Chapter 525 - 526: Overwhelming Emotions
"I’ve dragged you into this again."
"Fool, as your man, would I be afraid of being dragged into anything with you?" Jared Quinn gently smoothed her hair, his voice soothing her restless heart. "With me here, there’s nothing to worry about."
Nina King had originally expected to see a ruthless, hot-tempered man, but to her surprise, he was exceptionally gentle.
His tenderness towards Melody Thorne was no less than that of Hans Montrose.
As Nina King found herself in a daze, she thought Melody had truly married the right man. Just as she had that thought, Jared Quinn’s gaze sliced through her like a sharp blade, leaving her feeling disembodied.
Nina King "..."
In an instant, it was two extremes.
As women, the difference in treatment was truly astounding.
"Bro, many people have gathered around the Quinn Family and the company demanding you hand over your sister-in-law," Leon Rivers showed Jared Quinn a video from Harold Chapman, who was guarding the Quinn Family estate.
In the video, many people were clamoring for Jared Quinn to hand over Melody Thorne, accusing him of protecting a murderer.
The crowd was emotional, refusing to give up until their demands were met.
"If this continues, we might face significant losses," Leon Rivers spoke.
The main issue was that since the incident with Titus Quinn, Sheryl Lancaster had rushed into the fire. She seemed to have died, right?
It was too tragic to watch.
The two sisters were each crazier than the other.
"Sheryl Lancaster had it all planned when she was working with Titus Quinn," Melody Thorne spoke. "I was too careless." 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
"What do we do now?" Nina King asked worriedly.
Now, not only the Quinn Corporation but even the companies under Melody Thorne’s name were likely under boycott and siege.
"How about you hand me over first?" Melody Thorne looked up at the man above her. She wasn’t worried about her safety; even if she were handed over, she’d be held with Harold Chapman and wouldn’t come to harm.
"No way!" Jared Quinn’s face darkened. Harold Chapman’s place wasn’t fit for a person to live, let alone a delicate woman.
Leon Rivers rubbed his nose, "Someone needs to come forward to calm things down; I’m afraid these people are going to cause trouble for the patriarch."
A cold light flickered in Jared Quinn’s eyes as his gaze fell on Nina King.
Nina King was smart enough to understand Jared Quinn’s meaning. Everyone had seen her push Luna Lancaster down today. If she went out, she could stall for time since they still needed evidence to accuse Melody Thorne of murder.
"I’ll go," Nina King volunteered.
If it weren’t for Melody Thorne, she’d still be on set, trampled by others. Her current success was because of Melody. Nina King wasn’t someone who would turn on her benefactor like a rabid dog.
"Nothing will happen to her with Harold Chapman. I’ll take care of everything—don’t worry," Jared Quinn reassured the little woman in his arms.
Melody Thorne’s eyes reflected a changing expression. She looked up, "Nina, do you trust me?"
"Of course I trust you," Nina King heard Jared Quinn’s words and was no longer worried. As long as no one used illegal means against her, she was fine.
"Wherever I am, just make sure when I come out I can slap those people’s faces and regain my dignity."
"Alright."
"Let’s go," Leon Rivers said to Nina King, giving her a hearty pat on the shoulder. He appreciated such spirited women. Though she might not look like a woman with her small chest and flat butt, her loyalty was something he admired.
