Chapter 377: Serious Pinch

As my bo kept clashing with Drakzen’s dagger, the entirety of The Pit was being destroyed by the wake of our attacks.

I tried to execute Baelzor a few times during the exchange, but Drakzen was too fast and kept protecting him.

At one point, we fell to the very bottom of The Pit, with our magic attacks being the only thing that illuminated the dark and damp space around us.

My magic bo was doing great at absorbing and releasing my MP, even when I was in my awakened form. However, I knew that I needed to summon one of Phelena’s weapons if I wanted to finish off Drakzen.

Each type of awakening had its own weapon that I could borrow from Phelena’s Armory. With the moon awakening, I was able to summon the lunar greatsword—and with the phoenix fire awakening, I could call the flaming bow.

Even Melina borrowed the lightning spear when she awakened, which she used to end Vyrazul’s life.

Getting a weapon from Phelena’s Armory while we were in this state wasn’t very difficult, as it felt almost natural for us to have that ability.

Still, when I focused on borrowing whatever weapon was compatible with my gravity magic, I could feel a force denying me from it.

’Huh?’ I pondered, slightly raising an eyebrow as I deflected Drakzen and Baelzor’s attacks.

"Heh, what’s wrong?" Drakzen asked with a smirk, followed by a barrage of blood bullets that I was able to deflect with my gravity wall.

The more I tried borrowing the gravity weapon, the more I understood why nothing was coming out.

’There is no gravity weapon...!’

Gravity magic was a concept that, technically, I invented—I mean, I didn’t create gravity. I just used the theory to produce the spells.

Nevertheless, it was a concept that didn’t truly exist in this world. Since nobody, not even the gods, had ever used gravity magic, it made it so that Phelena’s Armory didn’t have anything to borrow.

’That’s unfortunate,’ I thought, waving my bo to the side and hitting Baelzor in the face before he could hit me.

Before Drakzen continued with his onslaught of attacks, he chuckled and asked where I had the dragon egg.

"Ahh, so that’s what you are looking for..." I replied.

The movements of the devils’ forces the past few days started to make sense, as there was a large number of soldiers that were sent to Fuego’s lair to look for his egg.

"You thought that the Lava Dragon left his egg inside the cave unattended? I thought you were smarter than that, Drakzen..." I mockingly commented.

For the first time ever, I could sense that one of my comments actually irked Drakzen—and that was good since I wanted to offend him.

"Nothing wrong with checking," he muttered with a fake smile.

Funnily enough, I had been taking care of the egg ever since we left Fuego’s lair, but the moment we found their advance towards The Pit, I gave it back to the dragon to keep safe for a bit.

I knew that Drakzen would beeline his way to the egg somehow, even if he had to sacrifice all of his soldiers and Baelzor for it, so it was better to have the dragon take it and leave the area.

As he erased his annoying smile from his face, Drakzen’s demonic energy suddenly doubled, becoming even more threatening as the pressure made the pillars of The Pit crumble.

Baelzor made a worried expression and rushed out to the top of The Pit, and while I wanted to follow him and end him right there, I couldn’t ignore Drakzen.

In the blink of an eye, our weapons clashed, generating a flash of light and lightning that blew away all of the pillars around us, making The Pit collapse.

We were flying to the surface while avoiding our attacks and the falling debris, which I was able to deflect away from my body with my gravity wall.

When I got outside, a massive torrent of demonic energy blew up not too far from me, but I couldn’t clearly see what it was since I was focused on protecting myself from Drakzen.

"Heh, finally..." Drakzen muttered as five serpent dragon heads rose to the air, comparable to the size of a five-story building.

The monster had the body of a dragon, but the head was split into five different colors and had long necks like a snake, with the one in the center having a thicker neck than the rest.

"Hydra, kill everyone!" Drakzen shouted, making the monster shoot out different types of breaths from their heads.

The five heads, from left to right, shot poison, ice, fire, lightning, and shadows—and right after Drakzen gave the command, they started flailing their necks while destroying everything around them.

Groups of brainwashed soldiers were making it to the top of the mountain, and some of our warriors were already engaged in battle with them.

Fuego went into hiding with the egg, Vespera fought the hydra, Yoru fought the dark wyvern, Gina was helping the warriors, and I was facing two devils—needless to say, we were in trouble.

The Pit had crumbled entirely, so we had lost our secret base, but we at least managed to evacuate everyone inside.

My mind was racing with all the different options we could take, and fighting seemed like the best choice since we didn’t have anywhere to run.

As soon as the two devils launched themselves at me, a massive, blinding beam of light came out of the ruins of The Pit, peeking from the holes between the rocks.

The two devils stopped their advance and gazed at the light attentively.

’I know that MP...’ I thought, right as the rocks and debris covering The Pit shot up to the sky with incredible force, making the light beam even more prominent.

*phew* "Right on time..." I heard the voice of Melina coming from The Pit, slowly floating to the surface with all of our companions next to her.

Carli, Nessa, Arashi, Athena, and her cub Apollo were all floating beside my wife.

Even Luca and Florencia were there, and there was another man with white, slightly blueish hair who I didn’t recognize with them, too.

’That’s quite the backup...’ I thought, feeling like the tides of the battle had turned in our favor.
