Necromancer: I Am A Disaster-Chapter 604: Let Law Defeat Law
Holylight’s tone was flat, yet it sounded harsh to Lin Moyu’s ears.
The Dragon had already sprawled out lazily, eyes closed, as if bored with everything.
Lin Moyu watched silently, a plan forming in his mind.
The Headless Knights’ repeated attempts proved that no matter how powerful the attack, it would be reflected with double the force.
Holylight had claimed that his greatest strength was defense. This barrier clearly possessed a reflection effect.
Laws came in many forms, each with its own mysterious power.
A property like reflection was hardly unusual.
Lin Moyu dismissed the Headless Knights and approached the palace gate.
He now stood just two steps away, separated from it only by a pure white barrier.
He placed a hand on the barrier and murmured, “It's said that only law can counter law.”
“Then let law defeat law.”
A drop of green blood essence appeared in his hand—Poison God’s Blood Essence.
Though the Poison God had not reached the high-tier God realm, he had already touched upon it. His blood contained a trace of law.
If not for his untimely death, given time, he would have certainly ascended to a high-tier God.
The law within this drop was weak, yet so was the law within the barrier.
Holylight had infused only a minimal amount of law to control the power.
But Corpse Explosion would amplify the power sixteenfold, and the contained law would be magnified along with it.
Detonating this single drop would be equivalent to a full-strength strike from the Poison God in his prime.
The moment Lin Moyu revealed the blood essence, Holylight’s eyes snapped open, sensing the aura within it.
Shock registered in his massive eyes.
A flash of green light erupted, and a breach appeared in the barrier, filled with poison mist.
Ignoring the poison as if it were air, Lin Moyu stepped through the breach and entered the palace gate.
Standing inside, he nodded toward Holylight, “I passed.”
His vision blurred. Holylight had appeared before him in an instant.
The speed made Lin Moyu tense up again.
This was a Holy Dragon, an overwhelmingly powerful being.
His fingers tightened around Antares’ scale, prepared to flee at the slightest sign of danger.
Holylight lowered his head, eyes filled with shock and confusion, “How did you do that?”
Before Lin Moyu could answer, he continued, “Never mind. Asking about another’s skill is impolite.”
“Although you used an external item, I did say any method was allowed.”
“You have passed.”
“Now you face two choices: continue the trials, or take your reward and leave.”
“I will tell you the reward: ten Soul Crystals. Each Soul Crystal contains pure soul force, enough to raise your soul’s level and provide a massive amount of soul force.”
“At your current level, each Soul Crystal should raise you by one full level.”
“With a soul strengthened by these Soul Crystals, your future path to God-level will be many times smoother.”
The temptation was undeniable. For most, Soul Crystals were priceless treasures.
But to Lin Moyu, they held little value.
His soul had long reached the God-level, with two skill star cores fused with his soul. The path to becoming a God-level powerhouse was already laid out.
As long as his level caught up, ascension to God-level was inevitable.
And increasing soul force?
Dungeon grinding for a year or two would suffice.
But Lin Moyu wasn’t in a rush. A stable foundation mattered more to him than rapid advancement. His goal was not simply to become a God-level powerhouse.
“I choose to continue.” Lin Moyu said.
Holylight’s voice rumbled, “Are you certain you won’t reconsider?”
“My decision is made.”
Holylight said no more. He lifted his head and let out a thunderous roar. Waves of sound rippled outward, echoing across the dungeon.
As the roar faded, the mist within the palace parted, revealing a jade-paved passage.
“Walk along the Dragon Jade.” Holylight instructed, “Do not touch the mist on either side. If you do, you will die.”
Lin Moyu nodded and stepped forward.
Once he entered, the palace gate closed behind him.
Clouds churned overhead as Ellie, Lyle, and the other Dragons descended.
“Big Brother Holylight, he passed?” Ellie asked, staring at the closed gate. She already knew the answer.
The other Dragons were all surprised
The palace gate was almost never closed, unless someone had successfully entered.
And they themselves would not attempt it.
Who else could it be but Lin Moyu?
Holylight stepped back, revealing the palace gate, and the patch of poison mist lingering in front of it.
A two-man-tall mass of green mist, held in place only by layers of light element to stop it from spreading.
“Gravis, take a look.” Holylight said.
Gravis inhaled sharply.
The mist held powerful poison, and a faint trace of law.
He took a deep breath, drawing the poison into his body.
After a few seconds, Gravis said, “It’s the poison of a poison-type God. There’s also a trace of law within it, close to level 96.”
“No wonder it could break through your Holy Barrier, Big Brother Holylight. After all, you could only infuse a sliver of law to keep your power in check.”
“What’s strange is how he managed to unleash the power of a poison-type God.”
Holylight replied, “He used a God’s blood essence. He seems to have a skill that amplifies the power within blood essence. What just took place was equivalent to a God’s full-force strike.”
“This human is not simple.”
Lyle, the Lightning Dragon, nodded, “Indeed. He has 100% immunity to the lightning element.”
“In that case.” Gravis added, “He might also have immune to the poison element.”
Holylight continued, “He has also achieved 100% immunity to the light element.”
Ellie’s eyes widened slightly, “How could such a terrifying genius be born in such a small world? Could he be a world child?”
Holylight only shrugged, “Who knows. In any case, our job is done.”
Suddenly, Gravis’s aura shifted, “Someone else has entered the Dragon King Palace. One of my avatars has been activated.”
Ellie nodded, “I sensed it too. It’s not someone from this world, and it’s not a human.”
Holylight flapped his wings, “Go on, go on. Get to work. If we slack off, Sir Dragon God will punish us.”
“Don’t worry. When have we ever been lazy?”
The Dragons rose into the clouds and vanished.
Holylight gazed at the palace’s closed gate, “It’s been a long time since anyone passed the final trial. I wonder how you will fare.”
He let out a self-mocking chuckle, “Not that it matters to me whether you pass or not.”
Mist swirled from his mouth, continually shifting shape. It first took the form of an ordinary Dragon, then grew longer and larger until it evolved into an entirely new image.
If Lin Moyu were here, he would instantly recognize it—the final form was that of a Huaxia Divine Dragon.
Holylight’s current appearance was merely one stage of that transformation.
Perhaps, once his evolution was complete, he would ultimately become a Huaxia Divine Dragon.
His eyes shone with hope and longing.
…
Beneath him stretched a path paved entirely with white jade.
The jade emitted a peculiar aura, as though it contained law force. Lin Moyu could feel the immense energy within it.
As Holylight had mentioned, this jade was called Dragon Jade, and it was extremely precious
Using it to pave a walkway proved just how important this palace was.
At first, Lin Moyu thought another trial would begin.
But when he cautiously stepped onto the first tile, the Dragon Jade remained inert.
After several identical steps, he finally relaxed, though only slightly.
He summoned a Skeletal Berserk Warrior to lead the way.
The palace stretched endlessly into the depths. After walking over ten thousand meters, he finally saw the second structure within the palace.
