New World with Four Husbands-Chapter 612: Bedroom fiasco
These.. These beasts! Coco fumed in her mind, her arms wrapped around her knees as she buried herself deeper into her bathtub.
After what Heiren and Alhai had done to her in the kitchen, she couldn’t help, but feel ashamed when she remembered that her mother was right across the hall.
But how can she say no to the two of them when they had their hands on her like they were talking telepathically?
And now, Alhai is choosing something comfortable for her to wear in her closet, looking all smug and innocent, like he just didn’t have his mouth all over her a few minutes ago.
As if to prove her statement correct, a knock echoed through the room and caused Coco to perk up.
"Oh, Alhai, dear!" The voice of Cleora reached Coco’s ears. "Have you seen my daughter? Heiren said that she’s upstairs, so I assumed that she’s here.. But it seems like I’m mistaken?"
"She’s taking a bath, mother." Alhai answered, his voice steady and cool. "I’m choosing something for her to wear right now. Would you like to give me a hand? Or would you like to go and tell Coco to hurry up yourself..?"
Alhai is not the type to mess around, so when he asked Cleora those questions, he meant it.
"No!" Coco’s voice rang out in the bathroom and Alhai was immediately peeking his head inside. "Don’t let mama come here! I’m about to finish taking a bath anyway! So please just wait downstairs for me!"
Alhai’s eyes twinkled with mischief when his gaze landed on Coco’s wet figure. "Are you sure? Mother wants to see you—"
"Oh, no, no, no!" Cleora was quick to deny the mediator’s claim and shake her head, not like Coco could see her. "If she doesn’t want me to look, then I won’t. I’ll just wait for her in the living room!"
Coco let out a sigh of relief and she glared at Alhai.
"Thanks, mama." She managed to grit out even though she was mildly annoyed at Alhai’s attempt to make her own mother walk inside the bathroom. "I’ll be there once I’m done."
"Alright, dear!" Cleora called, her voice getting slightly weaker. "Don’t rush, okay? You might slip!"
"I won’t, mama!" Coco called after her mother, kneeling on the tub so her mother could hear her response. "I’ll be there in ten!"
Right after Coco responded to Cleora, she heard a door shut, accompanied by Alhai’s snort.
"You should have seen the look on your beautiful face, wife." The mediator said, the corner of his lips quirking up into a smirk. "Were you scared to let your mother see the marks on your skin?"
The marks on her skin.. Right, Zaque was too wild on their first time together and ended up marveling her skin with various love marks.
She had some on her collarbone, just below her neck, and had some on her chest.
It was out of her sight, but she knows that she also has some bite marks on her back, nape, and she probably has a bite mark below her tail bone— all because Zaque was so immersed in making love to her.
"Who wouldn’t be embarrassed at the thought of their mother knowing their daughter had sex?" Coco grumbled under her breath, massaging her temples.
"It’s normal in this world." Alhai hummed softly, walking inside the bathroom with a few articles of clothing in his arms.
"Well, it’s different in ours." Coco mumbled, leaning back on the tub and running a hand down her face. "And what do you mean it’s normal? It’s normal to let your parents know that.. That you had sex?"
"Don’t make it sound like it’s absurd." Alhai chuckled as he placed her clothes down onto the sink. "I have no parents, so I don’t have to tell them, but Zaque might have to tell his father about it. It’s the custom."
"What?" Coco couldn’t help, but feel shocked, the color of her face draining at what she heard.
"It’s up to you." Alhai quickly added, noticing the terrified look on Coco’s face. "The woman or man a mediator married is asked to tell the parents of the mediator if they had shared a bed, only to ensure that the mediator will be expecting a child."
Coco frowned, groaning. "Seriously? Are you all noble or something?"
The mediator raised an eyebrow at the question, amusement dancing in his eyes. "Aren’t you one, Coco? Have you already forgotten that you’re the only daughter of Baroness Hughes?"
"Oh, shit." Coco hissed, sighing heavily through her nose. "I completely forgot about her existence.. Ah, but it doesn’t matter now. I don’t have to let her know or anything, right? She disowned me after all."
"It’s not required to let the parents know." Alhai merely stated, smiling softly at Coco and kneeled down beside the tub.
"But if you’re that embarrassed to let your mother know.." The mediator slowly trailed off, his eyes skimming through Coco’s skin, the littered love marks making his eyebrows twitch. "Then, it’s fine for us to not let her know."
"Thank goodness." Coco let out a sigh of relief, her lips parting. "I thought I have to endure the embarrassment of having to see my mother look at me with a judgemental look on her face.."
Alhai smiled and shook his head. "I don’t think mother will think like that."
"She will." Coco insisted, lowering herself into the warm water until it reached her nose and though Coco understands why Alhai would think otherwise, she still knows her mother best.
The mediator hummed and grasped Coco’s cheeks into his palms, flashing her a soft smile— a kind of smile that he usually shows to other people, including his friends.
"Again, if you don’t want to, then you don’t have to." Alhai repeated, brushing his lips against hers.
Coco’s cheeks warmed at the tenderness of his kiss, it was the complete opposite of how he was while she was on the dining table.
