Chapter 679: Can we do it?

Dinner passed by quickly.

Everyone was so tired from the trip that they couldn’t start a small talk while eating.

Cleora could sense the exhaustion of the group and didn’t bother trying to start a conversation, and instead, she ordered her people to make the rooms of the group as comfortable as possible.

While dinner was on going, she observed Jacques and the mediators beside her.

It was quite obvious that Jonathan doesn’t mind being hers, but it didn’t seem like he was part of Jacques’ and Renaldo’s married life.

On the other hand, Coco seemed like she was being fair with her attention when it comes to her mediators— having let them do whatever they want, but would call them out if they’re taking things a little too far for her liking.

Cleora wasn’t the type to pry for other people’s love lives, so seeing her daughter take care of her beloved is refreshing to witness.

With that said, the dinner passed by smoothly.

Too smoothly.. That it made Coco a little anxious because normally, Cleora would have tried to ask her questions about something.

But her mother didn’t do that.

Is she mad at me? Coco thought, settling herself on the bed and letting her back fall on the incredibly soft mattress.

The whole way back to the sleeping chambers were filled with silence, whether it was comfortable or forced, Coco doesn’t know— she was holding Kairo’s and Quizen’s hand the whole time, so she couldn’t tell.

Coco let out a sigh, rolling onto her side and burying her face on the pillow.

Alhai and Heiren had just got back from the washing room and witnessed Coco’s troubled expression before she turned over.

"What’s wrong?" Heiren asked, walking over to the bed and letting the towel hang over his head.

Coco turned her head to look at Heiren, her eyebrows furrowing. "Nothing.. Did you two just get back? I didn’t hear the door open when you walked in."

"Yeah." Heiren hummed and crawled beside Coco, his hands clutching against the towel and drying his hair.

"That aside, what’s on your mind?" Alhai repeated Heiren’s question, settling himself on the other side of the bed, all the while drying his silver colored hair. "Don’t bother lying. We could tell that there’s something bothering you."

Coco merely stared at Alhai and didn’t answer. She knows that she made her resolve to start talking to them, but how could she?

My worries are a little childish that I’m pretty sure Alhai would laugh at it.. Coco grumbled in her mind, her eyes fluttering close out of embarrassment.

Alhai and Heiren shared a glance.

Should we? Alhai raised an eyebrow and nudged his head towards their wife who was obviously pondering about something.

I think so. Heiren responded with a nod, his hands pulling away the towel from his head.

The conversation ended right there and the second husband crawled over to the edge, his legs forcing themselves out of the bed to stand up and walk over to the bottom left corner of the bed.

There was a curtain tied to it and with one flick of his wrist, he removed the ribbon keeping it from covering the bed.

Coco wasn’t aware of what was happening because she was so into her head to head the rustling of the curtains as they fell into place and covered the whole view of the bed.

When Alhai deemed that it was private enough, he stopped drying his hair and threw the towel over to the feet of the bed.

"Coco." He called the troubled woman, his voice soft and quiet.

Coco opened her eyes and lifted herself up on her elbows, her mouth opening to respond to Alhai’s call.

"What’s wrong— mmn." Coco was cut off when Alhai suddenly pressed his lips against hers, successfully shutting her up and making her mind blank.

Coco’s eyes went wide in surprise, not expecting such a gesture from him.

However, she didn’t push him away and merely accepted his kiss, letting him push her down and snake his hands into hers, pinning them beside her head.

Alhai’s tongue slipped past Coco’s lips, the wet muscle exploring the inside of her mouth before wrestling and tangling itself with her tongue.

The motion had Coco shuddering under him, such a tender yet intense kiss causing her stomach to tingle and her thighs squeeze together, hoping that it would help relieve the heat pooling down there.

Alhai deepened the kiss, his tongue battling against hers in a fiery dance and not letting her dominate him in any way.

The last time they shared a kiss this intense was when he first slept with her, but that night was their first time, so it was Coco who led the kisses that they shared.

The kiss was greedy, so selfish, and so intense that she’s starting to feel warm.

Thankfully, Alhai released her lips and pulled away.

Coco gasped for air, her heart beat pounding loudly in her ears as she stared at the mediator who was licking his lips like he had just tasted a delicious meal.

"I was holding back the whole time we were inside the wagon." Alhai stated bluntly, shifting on his spot and kneeling between Coco’s legs instead. "Do you know how hard it is to not kiss you in the presence of our friends? It’s normal to do that kind of thing, but I was being considerate of you because I know you’ll be embarrassed."

"T-Thank you..?" Coco blinked, not knowing what to say to that.

Just what can you say when someone so beautiful and hot told you that he wanted to kiss you in the presence of your friends? "Hell, yeah, fuck me!"? Yeah, right.. Coco grumbled, but her cheeks warmed up at the ridiculous thought.

"You look so delectable right now.. Can we do it?"

Alhai’s voice reached Coco’s ears and brought her out of her thoughts, making her blink owlishly at the mediator at the absurd words.
