Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven-Chapter 408: Jasmine’s awakening
"Is she reaching the 4th Rank?" Grey tilted his head in pleasant surprise.
"It seems like it," Eterna spoke while carefully observing.
From Grey, she knew that Jasmine was a Future One, someone with a physique equally as important as Grey’s own.
"Let’s go," Grey spoke.
They both descended down to the Blue Star, heading directly into the Everspirit Continent. They smoothly arrived right next to Jasmine, who was seated peacefully in an old Daoye Palace ruin.
While they were busy taking away the massive Chaos Seals from the planet, she had constantly reaped some lingering benefits from the dense energy. As a result, she had directly advanced to the 4th Rank.
Using his vast perception, Grey knew that her Hexcore was completely stabilized. Her Hexcore was fully equipped with the theoretical foundations to safely support her up to the 4th Rank, after all. She had now become a true 4th-Tier Modern Mage capable of utilizing advanced fourth-tier magic runes.
The ambient light diminished around Jasmine as she slowly opened her eyes. Immediately, a look of pleasant surprise formed on her face.
"Chief Grey, you are back," Jasmine said with a light laugh. "I thought you had left this universe for good after not returning for months."
"Congratulations on breaking through, Miss Jasmine," Grey said with a warm smile.
"Thank you," Jasmine nodded proudly. "What can I say? I am a genius."
"It should have initially taken me several years, but the Daoye Palace left behind several highly potent treasures."
Grey nodded. He did not mind her taking the hidden treasures, and neither did Lia. They were both in a league of their own right now, and by this point, those mortal treasures were practically useless to them.
"Who is this, Chief Grey? Did you find a new woman while you were gone to another world?" Jasmine asked with a highly amused look on her face. "At what spot on the waiting list am I? I hope Chief Grey will not forget about me."
"..." Grey’s expression darkened when he heard her teasing words.
"I am Eterna," she introduced herself with a cool, indifferent look on her face upon hearing Jasmine’s words.
"Eterna?" Jasmine was completely taken aback. "Hahaha... Pleased to meet you." Jasmine smiled wildly.
So it turns out this woman was the ultimate AI herself? She had always wanted to meet up with Eterna before, and now it was actually made possible.
"Can I analyze you more closely?" Jasmine asked with an eager, scientific smile. "I always wanted to see you up close so I can make direct improvements to my own AI framework."
"Forget about that," Grey spoke up then. "Not even I can see anything from her existence. What can you realistically do?"
"She is a supreme being that has comprehended one of the origin mysteries of the starry sky purely through calculations, and as a result, actively achieved absolute transcendence."
"What?" Jasmine was utterly baffled hearing this. "You... then what is a higher existence such as yourself doing on the tiny Blue Star?" Jasmine could not help but ask.
Seeing this, Grey smiled mysteriously.
"Blue Star? This planet is not called the Blue Star anymore. It is officially called Star Blue."
"Star Blue?" Jasmine was even more dumbfounded.
"That is right," Grey nodded with a light laugh. "You still have your phone with you, right? Search up something related to the Blue Star in the Starling search engine."
Jasmine suspiciously looked at Grey and did exactly that.
To her utter surprise, absolutely nothing came up when she searched ’Blue Star’. But when she typed in ’Star Blue’, millions of results instantly populated. The exact same history, the exact same planet.
Jasmine was completely baffled.
"What did you do?" she inquired. "How did you drastically manipulate the entire global internet to seamlessly change the name of the planet?"
"It is far easier than you think. All I had to do was tap into and corrupt the Information Layer around the planet, and I actively changed the core registry name to Star Blue."
"Now, no one in the cosmos will know that this was the original Blue Star."
"But you haven’t altered the recorded history of the Blue Star yet," Jasmine pointed out abruptly.
A look of sudden realization appeared on Grey’s face.
"Right. I almost forgot about that."
As he said that, violent static spread across the entirety of Star Blue. Within seconds, the world was thrown into a systematic disarray as glitchy, red corruption actively spread across the very sky of the planet.
Jasmine was completely stunned seeing this apocalyptic sight.
A chilling realization immediately settled into her system as she watched the foundational logic of the world physically changing before her very eyes.
This sheer power... this could not be something a normal 4th Ranker could output, right?
"Chief Grey, have you already crossed that final step and become a 5th Ranker?" Jasmine was dumbfounded.
Wasn’t he just a 2nd Ranker a few short months ago? By the time she finished her sentence, Grey was already completely done with the global rewrite.
"Not necessarily," Grey smiled mysteriously. "I am actually still at the 4th Rank."
"..." Jasmine was completely tongue-tied when she heard this reality-breaking statement.
"What happened to Lia and Little Hong?" As if suddenly thinking of something else, Jasmine actively changed the heavy subject.
"They are currently resting safely in my personal domain," Grey said with a warm smile.
Naturally, he had not forgotten about them. He had already transferred them into his inner world, where they were passively growing stronger with every passing second.
"The Chaos Seal has been completely lifted. As a direct result, both Little Hong and Lia, who is its primary holder, are currently undergoing a massive qualitative transformation. They will likely wake up in a few days," Grey explained.
Jasmine nodded in understanding.
"Then, what is the current global situation like?" Jasmine asked with twitching lips. "I just saw the crazy news feed on my phone."
"Grey Lockhart, the seventeen-year-old that took the Blue Star by storm and stopped a 5th Ranker with his sheer pressure alone."
"The true ruler of the Blue Star."
"The Aether Path’s first official follower."
She quickly realized that she had missed a ridiculous amount of world-shaking events while she was away cultivating.
As expected, this man was simply not normal!
For starters, she desperately wanted to go back to her research institute and properly meet up with her dedicated assistants. She had been gone for far too long, after all.
But considering Bai Yue had been strictly managing the Southern Region in her stead, things were not that bad. In fact, things had become significantly better in the Southern Region overall. With the corrupting presence of the Lesser Heaven completely gone, pure cosmic energy naturally flowed through the atmosphere once again. There were no longer any environmental issues preventing the birth of talented Evolvers.
Give it a few short years, and the explosive results would be glaringly clear by then.
After Jasmine happily signed off, promising that she would come back to find him very soon, Grey descended directly down into the World Will’s isolated space.
"I have been meaning to give you this, but I kept forgetting about it." Grey looked at the World Will, who was currently sitting lazily in her ethereal garden with a completely bored look on her face.
She was now fully awakened. With the restrictive seals completely gone and nothing to physically bind her down, she just sat there idly, observing the interesting humans and beasts scurrying across the newly named Star Blue.
"What is it?" The World Will tilted her head in innocent curiosity.
