No Substitutes for the Bigshots' Dream Girl Anymore!-Chapter 1950 Hayes Edwards Extra (107)
She smiled brightly, her eyes crinkling.
The interaction between the two was sweet and ambiguous.
This made many who still harbored the "what if not" idea finally give up. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
In the evening, Hayes Edwards changed his clothes and took Grace Winter to the snack street near their university.
The dormitory and team members originally wanted to have a dinner gathering, but Hayes worried that Grace would feel uncomfortable with so many unfamiliar people, so he declined.
"What do you want to eat?"
In the crowd, Hayes held Grace’s hand, while the other hand carried the candy apple he had just bought her.
Grace looked up at the snack shop signs on the right, carefully choosing a place. She picked a local specialty eatery rather than one with too many people.
While waiting for the food, Grace munched on her candy apple, getting sugar stains on the corners of her mouth, her cheeks puffed up.
Like a squirrel.
Hayes looked at her, "How come you came back alone?"
Grace covered her mouth, swallowed the candy apple, her voice still a bit muffled, "I wanted to surprise you."
Hayes laughed.
It truly was a big surprise.
After dinner, Hayes took Grace to the nearby amusement park. Being the weekend, the park was bustling, filled with kids and university students from nearby schools.
They hadn’t been inside for long when Grace spotted the carousel not far away. She excitedly tugged at his sleeve, "Hayes Edwards, do you remember the carousel we used to ride as kids?"
Hayes looked in the direction she pointed, "I remember."
Back then, they both attended Cedar Kindergarten, and the amusement park became a regular spot during holidays.
They had played on these basic amusement rides many times, and the carousel was a must every visit.
Grace looked up at him, her round eyes eager, "Can we go ride the carousel?"
Hayes: "...Are you sure?"
He felt a bit embarrassed.
He used to feel this way as a child, and even more so now as a grown-up, but couldn’t resist Grace’s expectant gaze, and nodded in agreement.
While queuing up, Hayes was surrounded by children front and back. Fortunately, there were a couple ahead who seemed around their age.
After getting off the carousel, they went on to play other amusement rides, bumping into a few students from the same school.
Though Hayes didn’t recognize any, the students first acknowledged him, proactively approaching to greet.
Hayes responded coldly, holding Grace’s hand, ready to leave. The girl spoke again, "Hayes, is she your... sister?"
She carefully chose her words, flashing a faint smile, her gaze settling on Grace, her face amiable but with hidden emotions in her eyes.
Grace, who was typically insensitive to such matters, saw the girl’s smile and returned it.
Her originally delicate and beautiful smile appeared even more charming because of it.
The girl’s smile lingered briefly, slightly irritated by Grace’s apparent innocence, so she stopped engaging.
Hayes frowned, bluntly addressed the girl, "Anything else? I’m about to shop with my girlfriend."
Girlfriend?
Girlfriend?
The girls present, including Grace, were startled. She turned to look at Hayes’s handsome but stern face, her eyes wide with confusion and surprise.
Hayes squeezed her hand tighter, glanced down at her.
