Chapter 449: Chapter 447: Be More Self-Aware [3 Updates]

Three years ago, what Lillian Morris said was absolutely true.

She said that as long as Liam Spencer genuinely treats Maya Spencer well, Maya will definitely feel it. And sure enough, Maya felt it.

Liam and Maya were apart for three years. Liam thought he harbored hatred towards Maya, but it wasn’t so; he just loved her too much.

That’s why he was endlessly tolerant of her, to the point where he wouldn’t argue about anything with her. As long as she requested it, he would oblige.

She met with Lillian in private; he didn’t mind. Even if she ’eloped’ with Lillian, he still didn’t mind. When she asked him to overlook the Morris Clan Group, he did so. As for his cooperation with the Hanson Clan, it was mere trifles.

Liam accepted everything about her, big or small, and didn’t mind her struggle with depression. He only wanted to give Maya the best love, so she could happily stay by his side.

Indeed, he succeeded. Maya is now by his side, very happy, even stealing kisses from him to claim territory.

Liam slowly opened his eyes, and upon waking from his dream, he saw Maya wearing earphones, smiling at him foolishly.

He immediately returned a smile to her, then took out the earbud from her right ear and put it in his own. It turned out she was listening to his earlier confession.

Listening to his own declaration, "Maya, I love you!" the smile on his lips grew even brighter.

Then, he took the earbud from her left ear, cupped Maya’s little face, and earnestly said while pressing his lips to hers, "Maya, I love you!"

The man’s repeated confession made Maya’s smile blossom like a flower. She spread her arms and hugged Liam tightly, pressing her little face against his.

After a moment of affection, Maya placed her hands on Liam’s chest, pushed him away, and stared into his eyes, asking, "Third brother, what do you want to eat? I’ll go buy it for you."

Liam loved it when Maya was being sweet. Whenever she cared for him like this, he would inexplicably feel warm and want to be close to her.

Thus, without being polite, he leaned forward and whispered against her lips, "Eat you."

Seeing him being improper, Maya pursed her lips in dissatisfaction and reprimanded, "Didn’t you just eat?"

"I didn’t get enough."

"You just woke up, don’t overexert yourself. Your body can’t take it."

"You doubt my strength?"

"No, I’m doing it for your own good."

During their conversation, one backed away while the other pursued forward. In the end, Maya ended up at the edge of the bed, nearly falling off.

Seeing this, Liam extended his big hand, wrapped it around her, spun a few times, and they returned to the center of the bed, trapping Maya in his arms.

Maya looked at the man’s fiery eyes, helpless and amused, unable to resist Liam yet worried about his health.

Seeing Maya about to compromise, Liam’s hand boldly wandered over her skin.

Then she pouted, complaining, "Third brother, you’re bad!"

"Maya, I was in a coma for two days, felt like centuries passed. Do you know how much I missed you? That exchange just now barely expressed my longing for you." Liam did his utmost to coax Maya into compromising, blurting out such sickeningly sweet words.

The man’s confession made Maya laugh again. Though she clearly saw through his intentions, she still loved hearing his sweet talk.

Thus, she hooked him with her little hand, nodded proudly, and said, "Mmm... mmm! I got it."

At this moment, Liam seized the chance to ask, "So, will you show me mercy and let me eat again?"

"Since you’re begging so pitifully, how can I refuse?" She lightly tapped his cheek with her finger, showing her fondness for him.

"Maya, you’ve become mischievous."

"I learned it from you."

Maya looked at the man’s smug little expression and, with a "slap," playfully hit him, pretending to be annoyed, "Behave. I’ll go buy some food for you now. What do you want to eat?"

"Damn, Maya, you tricked me."

"What did you think?" Maya said, nonchalantly climbing off of him.

He said, "Maya, you better come yourself, or don’t let go of me."

"I’ll come myself after you finish eating."

Maya knew that if she didn’t play some tricks, this guy wouldn’t stop today or eat anything.

"Haha..." Liam couldn’t help but laugh again.

With no choice, he reluctantly said, "Fine, some light porridge will do. Right now, besides you, I have no appetite for anything else."

"Haha..." Liam laughed again, thinking that Maya was getting more mischievous, but he liked it.

After about 15 minutes, Maya comes in carrying a bowl of bird’s nest porridge. To make sure Maya honors the agreement, Liam sits up and moves; he finishes the porridge she fed him without a word.

Judging by Liam’s eating speed, even with her toes, Maya could guess what he was plotting.

So after feeding him, she quickly spoke, "I’ll shower first, wait a bit."

She was deliberately stalling for time, hoping the doctor would call him for a check-up, but unfortunately, when she exited the bathroom, the hospital had yet to summon Liam.

Seeing Liam still bound to the bed, and his intense gaze, she felt sorry for him.

"Maya, don’t forget what you said. Be considerate." Liam saw her eyes darting around mischievously, knowing she was up to something, hence giving her a stern reminder.

Maya listened to Liam’s order, slowly approaching the bed.
