No Trespassing! My Aloof Brother-Chapter 491 - 489: Really Like You [21 Updates]
His gratitude wasn’t for the bird’s nest, but because Charlotte Owen had sensibly left.
Charlotte wasn’t foolish. When she entered the hospital room, Liam Spencer was still holding onto Maya Spencer without letting go. It was as if he blamed her for interrupting their alone time, hinting that she should leave quickly. Anyway, she couldn’t really converse with Maya, so she just placed the bird’s nest and left.
Inside the hospital room, Maya looked at Liam clinging to her like a leech and was speechless. She lifted her small hand and smacked the back of his hand with a "smack," admonishing him: "Liam, can you be a bit more proper when elders are around? Look how awkward Aunt Charlotte was."
Liam, seeing Maya hit him, immediately frowned, exclaiming, "Ouch, ouch..." ignoring her admonition and complained with a pitiful tone: "It hurts! It really hurts!"
His tone at that moment was actually improper because he was mimicking the way Maya cried out on the bed.
"Pfft..." Maya was amused by him, grabbed his big hand, and blew gently on the back of his hand, asking, "Does it still hurt?"
"It hurts..." he continued to act.
Maya wouldn’t have it, so she held his hand and bit it hard.
This really made Liam howl in pain, but he didn’t push Maya away. Instead, he waited until Maya let go to shake his hand.
Seeing him genuinely hurt, Maya frowned tightly, quickly hugged his big hand, and asked, "Did I bite too hard?"
"Yeah!" Liam nodded.
Maya looked at the bite marks on the back of his hand and kept kissing it to show comfort.
Seeing how much Maya cared for him, Liam smiled, withdrew his hand from hers, pulled her back into his arms, and kissed her cheek, sweetly teasing, "Silly girl!"
"Liam," Maya felt the man’s tenderness, looked up at him, and called him Liam.
"I’m here." Liam answered gently.
"Liam."
"I’m here."
"Liam."
"I’m here."
"..." Thus, the two continued this silly banter. No matter how many times Maya called Liam, he always replied to her with utmost gentleness.
Maya loved this feeling, loved his infinite patience with her, loved his pampering, and loved that every time she called him, he was by her side. It made her feel so secure and at ease.
After fooling around for a while, Maya tugged at Liam’s collar, tilted her head, and gave him a silly grin.
Seeing the girl’s silly smile, Liam suddenly bent down, picked her up horizontally, and placed her on the bed, saying, "Little one, you must be hungry! It’s time to eat something. Aunt’s cooking isn’t bad."
"Well then, I’ll give it a try!" Maya purposefully acted high-handed, teasing Liam.
"You cheeky thing," Liam pinched her nose playfully, got up, went to the cabinet, picked up the insulated lunchbox, and sat by Maya’s bed to feed her.
"Hehe..." Maya watched as the man lowered his head to stir the bird’s nest in the bowl, unable to help but laugh again.
Seeing her smile, Liam leaned forward and stole a kiss on her lips.
Maya immediately puckered her lips again, laughing and saying, "I want more."
So, Liam kissed her again.
"More!"
He kissed her again.
"More, more," Maya particularly loved messing around with Liam, and even more so loved him joining in with her.
Seeing this never-ending request, Liam took a deep breath, sat up from the chair, held the bowl of bird’s nest with both hands, leaned over, and kissed her lips unceremoniously.
After the affection, Maya wrapped her arms around Liam’s neck, blinked her big eyes at him, and smiled foolishly.
Liam looked at the girl’s silly demeanor, pecked her on the lips, and promised, "When your fever goes down and you’re healed, I’ll reward you properly."
Hearing his promise, Maya nodded vigorously at him, giggling.
"You haven’t eaten all day, eat something to fill your stomach." As Liam spoke, he stirred the bird’s nest in the bowl, blew on it twice, hoping to cool it down a bit.
Maya still pouted and whined, "Liam..."
"Liam..."
Hearing her speak coyly and sweetly with a prolonged ending, the man felt tingles on his scalp and immediately leaned closer to her, kissing her lips and asking, "What’s up?"
"I want to hear you say you love me..." Up to now, Liam had confessed to her countless times, yet this lass never said it once herself.
"Pfft..." Seeing her coy and dramatic look, Liam couldn’t help but laugh.
After laughing, he said seriously, "Maya, I love you."
"More."
"Maya, I love you."
"More, more." After experiencing the nightmare of a kidnapping, Maya became more reliant on Liam, missing him more and wanting to be with him.
She seemed afraid that this was all just a dream, and once she woke up, nothing would be there, so she kept acting coquettish to Liam, wanting to create more beautiful memories.
"Maya, if you’re not good, Liam won’t like you, now, open your mouth." Seeing her mess around for so long without eating, Liam was helpless and had to resort to threatening her.
At this point, Maya finally opened her small mouth, letting him feed her.
When Liam fed her, he was particularly careful. Every spoon of bird’s nest brought to her lips, he would test the temperature with his own lips before feeding her.
Liam’s attentiveness kept a smile on Maya’s lips, and whenever he seriously blew on the bird’s nest to cool it, she nibbled her lower lip and smiled at him foolishly.
After two bowls of bird’s nest, Maya patted her stomach, claiming she couldn’t eat anymore, insisting that Liam finish the rest. Truthfully, she wasn’t even half full but felt sorry for Liam, so she lied and left it for him. If she hadn’t, Liam would have made sure she ate it all for her health.
Even though they didn’t lack that bowl of bird’s nest, Maya just felt sorry for him and wanted to share.
Under Maya’s insistent persuasion and mild threats, Liam reluctantly finished the remaining bird’s nest.
Afterward, the two of them sat leaning against the bed and chatted.
Maya lay in Liam’s arms, while Liam gently patted her shoulder, reading stories to her on the phone.
Maya wasn’t really interested in hearing stories, she wasn’t that childish. She just liked listening to Liam’s voice, liked how well he treated her, and liked his attitude.
Soon, Maya’s eyelids drooped, and she drifted into sleep.
Seeing the girl asleep, Liam gently laid her flat on the bed and sat on the chair by the bedside, not disturbing her rest.
Watching Maya sleep, Liam gently held her small hand, brought it to his lips, kissed it, and softly said, "Maya, I like you."
Then he got up and kissed her forehead, whispering, "Maya, Liam really likes you, really likes, really likes..."
The first time he saw Maya, she was being whipped, and he looked down on her a bit.
