The air within the cave was heavy with a mix of tension and exhaustion.

The students, weary from their victory against the orcs, set up camp with practiced efficiency.

Ren crouched near the entrance, stringing his bow and keeping a watchful eye on the forest outside.

Lumia worked quietly.

Lira distributed healing potions, her soft voice barely audible as she tended to the injured.

Kael stood apart from the group, leaning against the cool stone wall.

His sharp eyes scanned the forest beyond, his mind churning with unease.

He had read about this region in the novel—this cave, the battle against the orcs, the hidden artifact.

Everything had gone according to plan until now.

But there was something wrong.

The air felt... different.

Kael’s instincts screamed at him, the warning signals in his mind impossible to ignore.

The S-rank monster knows we’re here.

It’s only a matter of time.

Unable to shake his unease, Kael pushed off the wall and stepped out of the cave.

The cool night air hit his face as he walked a few paces away from the entrance.

The moon hung low in the sky, its silvery light casting eerie shadows among the trees.

He exhaled deeply, trying to focus. His hand rested on the hilt of Aethral Fang.

I need to be ready.

If it’s anything like what I read, tomorrow could be the end for some of us.

His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of footsteps.

He turned his head to see Lumia approaching, her sword strapped to her side, her movements as graceful as ever.

"You’re out here alone?" she asked, her voice calm but curious.

Kael shrugged.

"Couldn’t sit still. Something feels... off." kael said.

Lumia stopped beside him, her gaze following his as it swept over the darkened forest.

"You’re not the only one who feels it. Everyone’s on edge." Lumia said.

They stood in silence for a moment, the faint sounds of the campfire crackling behind them.

Lumia glanced at Kael, her expression softening.

"You’re carrying a lot on your shoulders," she said quietly. "You don’t have to bear it all alone."

Kael’s grip on his sword tightened, but he didn’t reply immediately. Finally, he said,

"This isn’t something I can share, Lumia. You wouldn’t understand." kael said.

She frowned but didn’t press him. Instead, she looked up at the sky, the moonlight reflecting in her eyes.

"Whatever’s out there, we’ll face it together. Don’t forget that." Lumia said.

Kael gave her a sidelong glance.

Her unwavering confidence was both reassuring and infuriating.

"Thanks," he said finally, his tone softer than before.

BOOOOOM

Their moment of calm was shattered by a deafening explosion.

The ground beneath their feet trembled violently, and a fiery plume erupted in the distance, lighting up the night sky.

Kael’s hand shot to his sword as Lumia unsheathed hers.

"What was that?!" Lumia asked, her voice sharp.

Kael’s eyes narrowed, his heart pounding.

That wasn’t in the novel.

Shouts came from the cave as the other students scrambled outside, their weapons drawn, their faces pale with fear.

"Stay here!" Kael barked, his voice commanding.

"I’m going to check it out."

"Kael, wait!" Lumia called after him, but he was already moving.

Kael moved with unreal speed, his feet barely touching the ground as he raced toward the source of the explosion.

The forest blurred around him, his heightened senses picking up every rustle, every faint whisper of the night.

His mind raced as fast as his body.

This doesn’t make sense.

There wasn’t supposed to be an attack tonight.

Who could have caused this?

As he neared the source, a chilling sight greeted him.

The clearing ahead was bathed in the glow of fire and moonlight, and in the center stood Professor Darius, his tall, imposing figure a stark contrast to the chaos around him.

But Darius wasn’t alone.

Two figures moved around him, their forms shrouded in cloaks that billowed unnaturally, as though the air itself bent to their will.

Darius fought them both, his blade glowing with an intense golden light as it clashed against their dark, jagged weapons.

Sparks flew with each strike, the sound of metal on metal ringing through the clearing.

Behind the cloaked figures stood a group of others, watching the fight with twisted smiles.

They didn’t join the battle; instead, they laughed and mocked, their voices dripping with malice.

"Is this the best the academy has to offer?" one sneered, his voice echoing unnaturally.

"Pathetic," another said, his laughter cutting through the tension like a knife.

Kael froze at the edge of the clearing, his eyes widening.

Who are they?

And they are powerful Darius is at Demigod (5).

And it seems there most powerful one is more powerful than Demigod.

Kael looked at a black cloak.

"This man is radiating energy of atleast of Empyrean(4).

Darius’s blade swung in a wide arc, forcing his opponents to retreat momentarily.

His sharp eyes darted to the shadows where Kael stood hidden.

Through telepathy, Darius’s voice cut into Kael’s mind, clear and urgent.

*Kael, you need to run. Now.*

Kael’s breath caught in his throat.

"Run?" he whispered under his breath. "But—"

*Listen to me!* Darius’s voice was harsh, filled with an authority that brooked no argument.

*These aren’t ordinary enemies. You’re not ready to face them. Take the students and retreat. That’s an order.*

Kael clenched his fists, his heart hammering.

Every instinct screamed at him to jump in and fight, to stand beside Darius.

But the professor’s words echoed in his mind, the gravity of the situation sinking in.

I have to protect them, Kael realized.

If we stay, we’ll all die.

Kael forced himself to turn away, his jaw clenched as he pushed down the surge of anger and frustration.

He ran back toward the cave, his mind racing with questions.

Who are those people? Why are they here? This wasn’t in the novel...

As the cave came into view, Kael slowed, his breath ragged.

The students were gathered near the entrance, their faces pale with fear and confusion.

Lumia stepped forward, her eyes searching his.

"What did you see?" she asked, her voice steady despite the tension in the air.

Kael hesitated for a moment before answering.

"We’re leaving. Now."

"Run, Don’t stand dumbfounded," kael shouted.

"Where," one of them asked.

"Towards helicopters," kael said.

The students exchanged uncertain glances, but the urgency in Kael’s tone left no room for argument.

"Running Where.....
