Obsessed with a High-Ranking Esper (BL)-Chapter 138: Jian Ci gets punished
Yu Xi stood silently, refusing to move, and Jian Rui understood why. Yu Xi’s loyalty had never been with him—it was always with Jian Ci.
"Alright," Jian Rui said, his tone low and menacing. He swiped his communicator and dialed Jian Ci’s number.
From beneath the bed, the shrill sound of Jian Ci’s communicator betrayed him. The glow of the screen illuminated his face, and he muttered under his breath, "Fuck."
Jian Rui sneered, his voice sharp. "Are you coming out on your own, or do you want me to drag you out?"
Jian Ci knew the game was over. With a nervous laugh, he crawled out from under the bed. "Rui-ge, what a coincidence," he said, trying to mask his guilt with humor.
Jian Rui’s glare was unrelenting. "Are you coming out or not?"
Jian Ci stepped forward, but Yu Xi immediately moved, placing himself between them. His eyes locked onto Jian Rui, a fierce warning blazing in his gaze.
Jian Rui froze for a moment, unsettled by Yu Xi’s defiance. His mind flickered back to Amelia’s words about Eros. Now that he knew Eros was Yu Xi’s grandfather, he realized the weight of what stood before him.
He knew then, with a cold certainty, that he would never be able to protect Jian Ci if Yu Xi ever decided to take him by force. The way Yu Xi stood, unwavering and ready to fight, made it clear. Jian Ci, watching the tense stand-off between the two of them, realized he had to intervene before things spiraled further.
He stepped forward, placing his hands gently on Yu Xi’s shoulders. "It’s okay," he said softly, forcing a smile. "I got this."
Yu Xi hesitated, then stepped aside, though his eyes never left Jian Rui.
Jian Rui pressed his tongue against his cheek, a low chuckle escaping him. The sound made Jian Ci shiver. Jian Rui realised that Yu Xi was like a guard dog, ready to bite on Jian Ci’s command.
Without another word, Jian Rui grabbed Jian Ci’s collar and dragged him forward. Though Jian Ci was taller, Jian Rui’s grip was formidable, his authority undeniable. Yu Xi stood frozen, jaw clenched, watching them leave. His fists tightened, every instinct screaming to follow, but he knew it would only make things worse.
Moments later, Jian Wei’s door burst open. He stumbled out, robe half-pulled, eyes wide. His gaze met Yu Xi’s, and shock overtook him. "Fucking hell!" he shouted.
Yu Xi turned back into his room, closing the door silently, his expression unreadable, the tension lingering like a storm waiting to break.
Jian Wei was confused for a split second, but instinct drove him down the stairs, his robe trailing behind him as he wondered who could have made Yu Xi upset. The air grew heavier the closer he came to the training room, and when he reached the door, the sound inside made his stomach twist.
The chamber echoed with strained breaths and the relentless hum of aura suppression fields. Jian Ci was on his knees, sweat dripping down his face, his body trembling under the crushing psychic pressure Jian Rui had unleashed. The Esper-binding field wrapped around him like invisible chains, suffocating his strength.
Jian Rui stood tall above him, his presence dominating, his gaze sharp as steel. "You know you fucking deserve this, right?" His voice was cold, reverberating through the room like a blade cutting into the silence. "You will endure it until you remember who you are."
Jian Ci’s teeth ground together, his muscles burning as though fire coursed through them. Pain lanced through every fiber of his being, but he refused to cry out. His pride wouldn’t allow it.
Even as his aura was shackled, even as his body threatened to collapse, he held his silence, defiance flickering in his eyes. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
Jian Wei froze at the doorway, torn between stepping in and knowing that even Seraphine herself couldn’t save Jian Ci when Jian Rui was this angry.
"What is your oath of brotherhood?" Jian Rui demanded, his tone like a hammer striking iron, reverberating through the simulator room.
Through clenched teeth, Jian Ci forced the words out, each syllable heavy with the weight of their bond. "We swear upon our blood and our bond: Never shall we betray one another, for trust is the root of our strength.
Never shall we act alone, for our path is forged together. We move as a unit, three voices, three blades, three hearts bound in one purpose. In shadow or in light, in triumph or in despair, we stand side by side. Let no force divide us, let no fear break us."
Jian Rui’s eyes narrowed, his aura pressing down harder. "Then what did you do?"
Jian Ci’s voice was hoarse, his body trembling under the suppression field. "...I acted alone."
The admission hung in the air like a blade. Jian Rui’s fury deepened, his gaze sharp as steel.
At that moment, Jian Wei entered the simulator room. His eyes widened as he saw Jian Ci on his knees, sweat dripping, his aura shackled, while Jian Rui towered above him, merciless in his discipline. The tension was suffocating.
Jian Wei’s voice rang out, sharp with frustration. "What the fuck did he do that you couldn’t wait until tomorrow to punish him?"
Jian Rui’s reply cut through the tension like a blade. "He exposed Lord Rykar’s son for his gambling habits. Nearly cost Lord Rykar his position. Do you understand the weight of that?"
Jian Wei frowned, disbelief flickering across his face. "That’s unlike you, Ah-Ci. You have fought with so many people before, but you have never gone this far. What happened?"
Jian Ci’s jaw tightened, his lips pressed into a thin line. He refused to answer, his silence louder than any words. He would not let Yu Xi’s name be dragged into this storm.
Jian Rui’s punishment pressed down harder, the Esper-binding field constricting like iron chains. Sweat poured from Jian Ci’s temples, his aura straining desperately against the bonds. His body trembled, but he still didn’t cry out.
Jian Wei stood at the edge of the room, torn between anger and concern. His fists clenched, his instincts screaming to intervene, yet he knew Jian Rui’s discipline was absolute. Jian Rui’s glare remained unyielding, merciless.
And Jian Ci endured, his silence a shield, his defiance burning quietly in the depths of his eyes.
