Han Lingshi arrived and Agnee hid closer to Tang Zen. Yin looked at the situation and asked, "No, Ma, the cake had gone bad so I have put another one in the oven. It will be ready in a bit."

The furrow on her brows softened a bit. Then Han Lingshi took notice of Hiro and Jiro. Yin smiled and replied, "This is your master’s wife, Han Lingshi."

Hiro and Jiro bowed deeply and said in unison, "Greetings, Mistress."

Han Lingshi smiled, their voice was pleasing to her and she smiled, "Good. Come here."

That said, she sat down on the couch and took a deep breath, as she inspected the two newcomers. She asked, "Tell me, what do you like about your master?"

Hiro smiled and replied, "His skills and his dominance when he faced the corrupt Acting Council Head and also how easily he destroyed the old Council head. Also, his knowledge when it comes to refining artifacts." 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

Han Lingshi smiled before she looked at Jiro, who said, "Master broke my illusion of being a genius and made me realize that as a practitioner of martial arts, one must be humble and broad minded. There is always someone stronger than you."

Han Lingshi nodded and then she said, "Good, now that you understand that, your path would be long and prosperous."

She looked at Hiro and said, "It is good to idolize someone, but never forget that their actions are based on a certain reasoning. I don’t know exactly what transpired but you do. Think of life as a process of refining an artifact. Why do you smelt the metal?"

Hiro replied instinctively, "To make it malleable."

Han Lingshi nodded and said, "So, similarly, Ren has reasons to act and he also calculated the consequences. Always remember to think about, why are you acting, and would your actions be worth it?"

Hiro stood there in a daze, for a few minutes before he digested the message and bowed his head in thanks. Han Lingshi smiled and just then, Hao Ren entered the house with Old Man Hao.

The young man saw his wife, and the latter also raised her head to look at him. Hao Ren walked over with a sunny smile, Han Lingshi also smiled wide, and her eyes were brimming with excitement as if she has found a treasure she lost. Hao Ren thought his wife was going to hug him tight and give him a kiss, when he heard, "Ren, in the oven there is a cake, go finish it, I am craving something sweet."

Hao Ren froze in his strides and everyone else snickered. They could see that he was shocked, he looked at the people and before he could say anything Han Lingshi narrowed her gaze and asked, "Are you not going to cook?"

The young man sensed that her spiritual energy was running at a faster pace and he nodded quickly and dashed into the kitchen. Standing inside the kitchen, Hao Ren fiddled around to find the things that he needed to create a fondant and icing. The system had given him the skills needed for this back on Blue Star.

As he began to cook, he tried to reason why Han Lingshi was so erratic. Her mood flipped in just a blink, it was not even a second. He could not find any explanation about it, so he thought and said, "Ma! Can you help me with this blender, it feels odd to use it after such a long time. The kitchen will get dirty from the splatter."

Tang Zen heard this and stood up without speaking, how could she not know what Hao Ren wanted to ask. In the living room, everyone else was listening to Hiro and Jiro talk about the things Hao Ren has done in the northern continent.

The old lady entered the kitchen and she asked, "What do you want Ren?"

Hao Ren was whipping cream in a vessel as he asked, "Ma, what is going on? Why is Lingshi’s temper so erratic?"

Tang Zen sighed and replied, "We have checked, and it is because of her special physique. There is no cure, and only with patience can we handle her. Sometimes she would not talk at all, and sometimes, it would be a storm."

The young man thought about it and asked, "No behavior therapy?"

Tang Zen shook her head as she began to help him and said, "Be lucky that she not getting angry. Hao Mei sealed her spiritual energy many times, but the seal wears off on its own. So we gave that up as well. Her diet is being managed, and to balance the agitated Yin in her body we are giving her Yang treasures. This is why she is a bit more stable."

Hao Ren frowned and he asked, "Xiao Mei checked on her?"

Tang Zen nodded and the young man calmed down for a bit before he sighed and replied, "What can I do, watching her like this is a bit stressing."

Tang Zen sighed and replied, "You don’t have to think this much. It is a normal thing that happened. She will be fine."

Hao Ren finished making the cake, and called Yin. She waved her hand to chill the air which in turn chilled the cake and made the cream set. Then the cake was presented to Han Lingshi, who looked at the dessert and said, "I don’t feel like eating it. Ren, can you take me for a walk?"

Hao Ren nodded with a smile and took her hand to walk outside in the garden.

Han Lingshi linked arms with Hao Ren and asked, "Have you been well outside?"

Hao Ren nodded with a smile on his face, and said, "Yes, I am fine, you don’t have to worry. What about you. I have noticed the irregular Yin flow in the body. Would you be okay?"

Han Lingshi nodded and replied, "Yes, I will be fine. This is the consequence of using the Solaris Jade Lotus. The imbalance will correct itself in the coming two weeks and then I would be back to normal. Did I scare you?"

Hao Ren placed one of his arms around her shoulder and replied, "No, it is not that you scared me. I just got worried."

They were walking around and talking with each other, forgetting that the sun has set and the sky had turned dark.

Han Lingshi suddenly said, "Ren, it feels a little chilly."

The young man waved his hand and a bird of flame appeared in the void, the temperature climbed slightly as the bird flew around. The young lady smiled a bit before she said, "Too big, not cute at all."

Hao Ren snapped his fingers and the bird exploded into small butterflies scattered all over the garden. Han Lingshi nodded before leaning onto Hao Ren’s shoulder as they moved around.

Inside the house, Agnee and Yin were eating food with Hiro and Jiro, before Agnee said, "Big sis, why is it that as soon as they are together, they forget about the world?"

Yin shrugged her shoulders and said, "I have no idea. Romance is not something that I like. You should have asked Yang, he has quite a few love debts to pay."

Agnee rolled her eyes and said, "He only has them because of Master Peng, otherwise second brother is a stick of wood."

Yin chuckled and then she looked at the two people before her, and said, "Yang is my younger brother, he is a saber master, and he is currently outside. You will see him in the future."

The two people nodded, and soon the love struck couple came inside the house, and Hao Ren dropped a few tasks for the two disciples before he took Han Lingshi back to her room. The lady was calmer at the moment than she was earlier. Hao Ren thought it could be because of his presence.

After she fell asleep the system said, *Punk, I know that you want to stay back, but you need to complete the task if you wish to keep up with Lingshi.
