Watching Ye Ruozai who was shielding Xia Yu behind him, Lanloste couldn't help but recall the earlier bouts of fierce fighting, feeling not only apprehension but also a growing fear in his heart.

Just when Pei Yan and Pei Jin broke through the frontline to engage with Flamel, Lanloste also completed the task of encircling and isolating Ye Ruozai and the other team members. In his view, he, leading two Round Table Knights, along with three other Knights, could quickly eliminate Ye Ruozai and Xia Yu. Then, they would leave two behind to deal with the remaining one, while he and the rest would join Flamel to completely wipe out the Investigation Hall team. However, things quickly spiraled out of his control.

"You must be Ye Ruozai! Your name was in our intelligence collection. Excluding Pei Yan and that other suddenly emerging Child of Origin, you should be the main combat force of this team. Eliminating you makes the other two insignificant!" Lanloste raised his longsword, staring at Ye Ruozai caught in the encirclement, trying to break his psychological defenses with continual verbal baiting, hoping for a quicker collapse.

At this moment, Ye Ruozai was truly anxious, his gaze sweeping over Pei Yan and her brother fighting fiercely in the distance, then at Xia Yu, who seemed increasingly downtrodden in the encirclement, and even his old friend Zheng Jia Ru. Yet, he had no time to worry about the pain, since he saw Xia Yu already knocked down by Galis in the distance, now bravely standing up to challenge Bedivere.

"A woman? I think you might be misunderstanding us. We indeed won't attack ordinary civilians, the elderly, women, and children, but if you think we shy away from dueling women, you are sorely mistaken!" Gerald heard Ye Ruozai's words and replied with disdain: "Don't you know that in the Magic Realm, among the three major councils, the strongest isn't the Church nor the Tower of Mages, but the Witch Association blessed by heaven? From the start, we were taught never to underestimate women; it's common knowledge in the Magic Realm!"

"Seeking mercy from the enemy on the battlefield is a sign of weakness. I can show you chivalry, but it cannot be a means for you to threaten me." While speaking, Percival successfully entangled Ye Ruozai's injured arm with a chain hammer born of fiery flames, pulling him forward as Ye Ruozai lost his balance and stumbled.

Unlike Galis, who might feel guilty ganging up on a young girl, Lanloste and the others have no such qualms dealing with Ye Ruozai. Both he and Gerald have only one goal with each move—to push Ye Ruozai to the brink of death!

Therefore, seeing Ye Ruozai slipping up, Gerald unhesitantly launched a pincer attack from the side, making it difficult for him to escape, while Lanloste circled behind, leaping up with his longsword aimed at Ye Ruozai's nape.

In just the blink of an eye, the meteor hammer started extending outward like a laying hen, proliferating into a chain of flaming hammers encircling Ye Ruozai. After Percival's angry shout, all the hammerheads exploded simultaneously, releasing towering flames that engulfed Ye Ruozai.

"A taste of your own medicine!" Watching Ye Ruozai, whose entire body was set ablaze and struggling violently like a giant fire creature, Lanloste grinned sinisterly and mocked: "So this is the so-called young elite of the Investigation Hall? It seems Pei Yan is the only one holding the fort for the entire team. Don't struggle anymore; I'll put an end to your suffering by sending you to Hell, where you can curse your incompetent and arrogant teammate for the foolish duel they initiated!"

With that, Lanloste swung his longsword, unleashing one fiery sword Qi after another towards the burning figure. After a dozen strikes, Ye Ruozai who was resisting seemed unable to further withstand the damage, plummeting from midair with his smoldering limbs sprawled on the ground, appearing lifeless.

Gerald's gaze made no more pause on this sight, first glancing at Zheng Jia Ru in the distance performing ridiculous warm-up movements, then at Xia Yu who was on the verge of defeat in solo combat with Bedivere. Shaking his head with a wry smile, he remarked: "Bedivere must be moved by their persistence, proceeding with a sacred duel. Continuing, Gerald furrowed his brow and said looking towards Zheng Jia Ru's side: "However, that person must be dealt with swiftly! There is a force building up within him, and if allowed to fully accumulate, it may cost us dearly to secure victory."

With those words, he prepared to fly off towards Zheng Jia Ru, only to find his two companions standing motionless, prompting him to urge, "What are you waiting for! Let's end this fight quickly and return to tranquility!"

"He's still alive!" Lanloste stared at the charred body emerging from the diminishing flames, then looked up towards the sky which had yet to send down the beam signifying his elimination, indicating that Ye Ruozai was still alive with continued combat ability and consciousness.

"Even if he has consciousness, he no longer possesses the strength to fight. If you're still worried about him, then end his life yourself," Percival walked over to Gerald's side, instructing Lanloste.

Though Lanloste felt unease about commanding the Spirit Body he summoned so imperiously, he was not inclined to neglect caution in this matter. Having suffered once at Pei Yan's hands, he was acutely aware of the Investigation Hall people's cunning, thus deciding to eliminate him completely to prevent future threats.
