Out of Control: Into Your Everything-Chapter 120: A Perfect Match
Scarlett Shaw: "Julian Ford, don’t just think about that the moment we start. This relationship has barely begun, and you’re already pushing your luck."
"It’s not like we haven’t done it before. Aren’t we a good match?"
Julian Ford spoke with a calm demeanor.
Scarlett’s face immediately turned red, feeling unbearably hot.
It wasn’t that she hadn’t heard Julian say such suggestive things before, but in the past, he’d only use dirty talk in the heat of the moment, and sometimes even more outrageous than this.
But now, both of them were, at least somewhat properly dressed, and it had been a while since they last did anything. Hearing such words again inevitably brought a different kind of thrill and allure.
Moreover, how were they a good match? Each time it’s clearly...
The more Scarlett thought about it, the more she felt like an innocent girl, pursing her lips without saying a word.
Since she remained silent, Julian automatically took it as tacit consent.
His slender fingers rested on the gap between her shirt buttons. "Don’t you want to?"
Scarlett pulled his fingers away: "We are now in a serious relationship. Who does that just an hour into dating?"
Julian shot her a glance, speaking in a dismissive tone: "We’ve done it so many times already, saying this now is as pointless as taking off your pants to fart."
Scarlett’s almond-shaped eyes widened as she covered his mouth, "Julian Ford, how can you be so crude!"
Julian raised an eyebrow, "Haven’t you seen me being crude before?"
Scarlett: "..."
However, as Scarlett’s brand-new boyfriend, Julian Ford respected her wishes. He withdrew his hand, looked at her, and asked, "What do you want then?"
"Since we’re dating, we should start from the beginning with hand-holding, hugging, kissing, and finally doing it. Everything should have a progression," Scarlett said earnestly.
Julian glanced at her and said in a calm voice, "Are you sure you want to talk about progression in this position?"
"..."
The two had kissed and hugged for quite a while, and they were both emotionally stirred, so it was impossible for neither of them to react.
Scarlett awkwardly crawled back from Julian’s lap to the passenger seat. As she buttoned up, she caught a glimpse of the slight dampness on his suit pants, which made her face feel hotter. She cleared her throat twice to relieve the awkwardness.
Julian, being someone who loved cleanliness, didn’t say much. He merely tidied his shirt, started the car, rolled down the window to let the cold wind in, and leisurely played along with her act.
After the heat diminished, Scarlett continued, "There are many more ground rules."
Julian replied lightly: "Hmm, tell me."
"If we’re dating, you can’t use that fierce and cold approach as before, treating me like I come easily and go at your whim."
"I can agree to the latter," Julian said, checking the rearview mirror while speaking. "But as for the former, it’s just how you perceive it. I speak the same way to everyone."
Scarlett: "..."
Julian: "Anything else?"
Scarlett: "You’re still my boss, so at work, it’s better if we pretend not to know each other for the time being."
The veins on Julian’s beautiful hand gripping the steering wheel stood out faintly. He gave her a sidelong glance and asked, "You mean you want an underground relationship with me?"
Scarlett corrected him, "Just keep it a secret at the office."
Julian let out a soft laugh, carrying a hint of coldness.
Scarlett felt a chill down her back but mustered her courage, "I just told you, don’t be mean to me."
Julian’s expression paused, and after withdrawing his cold demeanor, he said, "I can only promise not to intentionally conceal or flaunt it."
As he finished speaking, he noticed Scarlett’s eyes flicker with hesitation.
After pondering for a moment, Julian said, "What you’re worried about are just some rumors. With me around, no one would dare to bully you."
Julian’s words were cold and distant, lacking any warmth.
But sometimes, he could say one or two things that Scarlett couldn’t quite handle.
"Then let’s just go with the flow," Scarlett conceded.
Julian responded with a soft "Hmm" and patiently asked, "Anything else?"
Scarlett thought for a moment and shook her head, "Not for now."
Julian: "Then it’s my turn to speak."
"You have demands on me too?" Scarlett was momentarily surprised, disbelief in her voice. "I’ve been nothing but sincere and affectionate towards you, aiming to be a perfect girlfriend."
The word "affectionate" seemed to please Julian Ford.
The man’s stern and handsome face softened slightly, half teasingly saying, "You’re always so self-assured, ready to give yourself a perfect score."
Scarlett: "I’m just telling the truth. I’m so great, yet you still have demands?"
Julian appeared justified, "You have demands on me, so why can’t I have them on you?"
Scarlett: "..."
This guy just couldn’t stand any loss in the relationship!
Julian’s gaze caught the defiance flickering in Scarlett’s eyes, his lips curling slightly, as he calmly asked, "Now, explain to me, how is going out with me like jumping into an abyss?"
Scarlett truthfully replied, "Because your face says that you’ll definitely break up with me."
Julian glanced at her, indifferent, showing no guilt at being seen through.
Scarlett snorted coldly.
"Doesn’t everyone who doesn’t have that phrase on their face break up eventually?" Julian clearly saw no problem. "Furthermore, most relationships do end in breakup. Even marriages have their fair share of divorces. Be more realistic: living a lifetime together, does that really guarantee happiness?"
Julian’s argument was so logical that Scarlett almost got lost in it.
She gathered her thoughts and said, "Don’t twist things. At the start of a relationship, the intention is to be together nicely. Emotions need nurturing for them to last. But here you are, saying from the get-go that we’ll break up."
Julian: "Aside from lasting long, do you think I can’t deliver on anything else?"
Scarlett remained silent.
But her mood visibly dampened.
After all, she couldn’t be as calm and rational as Julian, separating emotions from reality and ready to leave unscathed whenever needed.
Today, just like moments ago, when he held her and claimed she was his only one, her heart softened immediately. Looking forward, her falling deeper seemed inevitable.
The car drove into the underground level of Cloud Mansion, and Julian parked, went around to the passenger side, opened the door, and extended his hand to Scarlett.
Scarlett raised her hand to hold his, and even after getting out of the car, his hand remained tight around hers.
Seeing her still discontent, Julian paused, kissed her on the nose, and said, "Haven’t you thought about being my girlfriend? Instead of hoping for some unrealistic forever, think about all the real things you can get from me."
?
Scarlett’s eyes lit up as she hugged the man’s slim waist, looking up. "You’ll agree to whatever I want?"
Julian: "As long as it’s doable, of course."
Scarlett: "That’s just nonsense. Whether you can do it is still just a matter of your say-so."
Julian looked down at her, carrying a smile that sent shivers down one’s back.
Scarlett: "..."
