A piece of Mousse Cake stirred Xiang Yiqing’s memories of their romantic times, when suddenly Qiu Yang’s voice came from across the room.

Xiang Yiqing’s thoughts were interrupted. He looked up and saw Qiu Yang bent down, filling out a form.

He nodded and replied, "Hmm."

"It’s really rare," Qiu Yang signed his name at the bottom corner of the form, then looked up at Xiang Yiqing and jokingly said, "With such a big shot, you still remember me."

Actually, Qi Helian always remembered.

After they broke up, during that time, he always teased him, thinking finally a woman was willing to be with him, but it turned out to be just a fairytale-like dream. In recent years, he still occasionally brought it up.

Qiu Yang smiled and nodded in response to her.

"Doctor Xiang, there are quite a few patients today." The young nurse said while walking to Xiang Yiqing’s desk, picking up the water cup on his table.

She turned toward the sink.

Xiang Yiqing countered her, "Has there ever been a day with fewer people?"

The nurse turned back, jokingly replied, "Every day, there are mostly young female patients. I seriously suspect they’re here for your looks and good temper, Doctor Xiang."

Xiang Yiqing laughed, "If my looks can boost the hospital’s income, that’s a good thing."

After finishing, he set aside his joking attitude and instructed the nurse, "Notify them that this morning, I’m only taking fifty appointments; I won’t be seeing patients in the afternoon."

The nurse had already brewed the tea, walked up to Xiang Yiqing, and placed the cup before him with both hands, then curiously blinked at him, "Doctor Xiang, today’s not your day off." 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

The nurse nodded upon hearing, "Last time we visited, Grandma Zhou’s health was already much worse, given her age."

A trace of sadness appeared in her eyes, then she thought of something and looked at Xiang Yiqing, "So will Miss Xin be going too this time?"

"Why would she be going?" Xiang Yiqing frowned.

His eyes held a warning, as if saying: try telling her if you dare.

That girl is getting engaged soon, probably busy, so she hasn’t sought him out for some time. He finally had some peace.

He didn’t want to ruin that.

"Oh!" The nurse realized she might have brought up the wrong person, swiftly changed the topic, "Prepare yourself, I’ll go outside and record the appointments."

Quickly, she turned and ran to the door.

After the nurse left, Xiang Yiqing reached out to turn on the computer, checking the appointments currently displayed on the screen.

Suddenly, he sensed a gaze on him. He lifted his eyes and met Qiu Yang’s clear and elegant eyes from across the room.

She was staring at him, seemingly lost in thought.

Xiang Yiqing was taken aback, and Qiu Yang snapped back to reality at that moment.
