Chapter 122: Chapter 124: Forced Cohabitation (Sixty-Seven)

Ji Chicheng frowned in annoyance, wanting to pull Luke away.

Of course, he couldn’t be so direct...

"Can’t wait to try one," Luke stretched his neck, leaning towards Ji Anning to watch her make coffee.

"Just a moment," Ji Anning replied indifferently to Luke and continued to make the coffee following the steps Ji Chicheng had told her.

He had only taught her once, and she had already got it, already knew how.

Ji Chicheng stood opposite Ji Anning, with the width of a cabinet between them, looking at her, somewhat spellbound.

"Have I seen you somewhere before?"

Luke suddenly stared at Ji Anning’s face, sizing her up as he asked.

Ji Chicheng’s eyes flickered, thinking of something, he looked towards Luke, his handsome face showing a rare trace of nervousness.

He opened his mouth, just about to call out to Luke, but at that moment, Ji Anning also looked at Luke with a faint smile, "I think you might have mistaken me for someone else; I haven’t seen you before."

Her English was as smooth as flowing clouds and water, and when she spoke English, her voice was even a bit playful, quite pleasant to the ear.

Only then did Ji Chicheng realize... her English was actually so good!!!

Although elites start learning English in kindergarten, Ji Anning had never liked the subject and always had only average grades in English despite excelling in all other courses.

If it weren’t for English dragging her down, she could have been first in her class every year, instead of just top three.

"Perhaps it’s because you’re so beautiful."

As Ji Chicheng was still surprised by Ji Anning’s dramatic improvement in English, Luke suddenly turned, leaned on the cabinet, tilted his head to face Ji Anning, and complimented her beauty.

This was a flirtatious pose.

Ji Chicheng’s face darkened as he looked at Luke and said, "Luke, I’ve hired a guide for you. You can find her directly at the hotel; here’s her number."

As he spoke, he went to his computer desk, took a business card, and handed it to Luke.

"Thank you," Luke said, taking the business card, glancing at it, and then stowing it in his pocket.

Then he lazily straightened up and walked out of the open kitchen toward the couch, apparently intending to sit and relax.

Ji Chicheng realized his intentions and called out, "Luke, you can go now. The guide said she’d familiarize you with the resort hotel at two."

It was already past one o’clock, and foreigners are punctual and value integrity.

Hearing this, Luke stopped in his tracks, looking regretfully towards Ji Anning, "That’s a shame. I was looking forward to tasting a coffee made by Anning."

Ji Chicheng curved his lips into a smile, "There’s the best coffee shop in town over there."

Keep dreaming!

"Guess that’ll have to do," Luke said helplessly, shrugging his shoulders. He gave Ji Anning another look before reluctantly leaving.

Seeing Luke depart, Ji Anning was puzzled.

"Uncle, the guest hasn’t had the coffee yet."

Wasn’t she supposed to make coffee for the guest?

Ji Chicheng’s voice was cold, "With your skills, don’t embarrass me."

With a look of disdain, Ji Anning was speechless.

This guy was really baffling; he knew just before that she couldn’t make coffee, so why the contempt now? She seriously suspected he had a split personality disorder.

Thinking this, she threw the cloth in her hand, "Then I’m leaving."
