Chapter 85: Chapter 86 Reluctant Cohabitation (Part 30)

Then he quickly made his way around to the driver’s seat.

He started the car and fastened his seatbelt while keeping his eyes on the road ahead, his handsome face devoid of any expression.

"Uncle, what are you doing?"

Ji Anning already had complaints against him, and now being roughly pulled into the car without a word made her somewhat angry.

The volume of her voice naturally rose with her emotions, almost to a shout.

Ji Chicheng turned his head, giving her a cold look, "You’re quite loud now, aren’t you?"

Facing those who had bullied her, how come she didn’t know how to resist or struggle?

And yet she blamed him for bullying her.

Ji Anning didn’t understand what Ji Chicheng meant, frowning, her voice lowered, "What?"

"Nothing," Ji Chicheng shook his head, speaking indifferently, "Just giving you a ride to school on my way."

The dominance he had just displayed was fading as his mind cleared, leaving him somewhat unconfident.

The script he had prepared changed at the last moment to ’Just giving you a ride to school.’

He had intended to say ’Ji Anning, from now on, you are mine, and you are not to cuddle with anybody else.’

Just giving you a ride to school on my way...

Ji Anning looked at Ji Chicheng with surprise, mixed with a hint of wariness. Was Ji Chicheng that kind-hearted?

And particularly towards her!

She couldn’t help but feel that there was some plot involved.

"Ji Anning, I’m sorry."

While Ji Anning was pondering Ji Chicheng’s intentions, he suddenly apologized.

She paused, not understanding why he was apologizing, "What?"

Ji Chicheng ignored her question, "Let’s have lunch together."

He didn’t look at Ji Anning, his gaze fixed on the road ahead.

"Ah...?" Ji Anning couldn’t help but ask out of curiosity, looking at Ji Chicheng and frowning, "Uncle, do you need my help with something?"

Her tone was certain.

Just giving her a ride to school was puzzling enough, and now he wanted to have lunch together as well; if not to ask for her help, then what?

"Ah!"

Ji Chicheng suddenly braked hard, the car coming to a sudden stop. Ji Anning yelped, instinctively grabbing the safety handle.

Her heart still racing, she then heard the man’s low roar, "Get out!"

Feeling aggrieved, Ji Anning frowned and angrily yelled at the man in the driver’s seat, "Ji Chicheng, you can be noble, arrogant, and aloof, but you can’t trample on others’ dignity at will, nor do you have the right to gamble with someone’s life so casually."

Saying this, she pushed the door open and got out, furious.

With a ’bang,’ loud enough to be deafening, the car door closed.

Crazy, did she insist on getting into his car? It was clearly him who had pushed her into the car.

Ji Chicheng watched Ji Anning’s infuriated figure, his hands clenched into fists, hitting the steering wheel in frustration.

What could she possibly help him with, with that cowardly demeanor of hers?

He had already apologized, he had already taken the initiative, was she a pig?

He accidentally honked the horn, a ’beep’ that startled himself.

Let alone Ji Anning who had just approached the car.

Startled by the sudden horn, she turned around to see the man sitting in the car, still looking indifferent. She clenched her teeth and her eyes reddened.

Feeling that she couldn’t calm her anger, she bent down, found a small stone on the ground, and threw it at the Maserati’s windshield.

’Thud’

The stone hit the Maserati’s windshield right in front of the driver’s seat precisely, causing the glass to crack immediately. Cracks slowly spread, blooming like a flower.
