Pampered by My Ex's Cousin-Chapter 84 - 85 Reluctant Cohabitation (Part 29)
She shuddered in fright, her clenching jaw and the anger on her face had not yet receded.
Ji Chicheng caught every bit of it, his lips slightly curved as he subtly masked the little surprise he felt upon seeing Ji Anning.
The shirt on his body was just put on and he hadn’t yet fastened the buttons, exposing his robust chest blatantly to Ji Anning’s view.
Caught off guard, she opened her mouth wide and stared, dumbfounded.
Only then did Ji Chicheng remember that he hadn’t buttoned up his shirt. He looked down briefly and then at Ji Anning’s face, gradually flushing, a cunning and gentle smile spread slowly in his deep black eyes.
He then reached out, his attractive fingers picking the lowest button and fastened it leisurely.
"Uncle."
Ji Anning snapped back to reality, her face reddened all the way to her neck, quickly lowering her head.
’Hmm’.
The faint response came from above; she hurriedly stated her purpose, "There’s a parcel downstairs from the M country. Is it yours?"
But after she asked, she didn’t hear any reply for a long time.
She couldn’t help but feel puzzled and slowly looked up.
"..."
Her face turned from red to dark in an instant.
She asked him a question, and he was still slowly buttoning up his shirt, heads down. So close together, she didn’t believe he hadn’t heard her question.
This egocentric guy.
Ji Anning was already annoyed about the cup incident, deciding to treat him like a stranger from now on. Just moments ago, she even fantasized about giving him a piece of her mind, and now, he treated her like she was air.
She didn’t even bother waiting for his reply anymore and turned to leave.
She had her own temper too!
He was the young master, an elder, he could trample on other’s dignity at will, act as if no one else mattered, and she could choose to not cater to him.
There was absolutely no need for them to interact if not necessary.
"Perhaps it is."
Just as Ji Anning was fuming internally, Ji Chicheng’s casual voice suddenly came from behind her.
Perhaps it is... These simple three words, but they counted as a response.
"Got it." Ji Anning replied coldly, not stopping her steps.
Clearly in a huff.
"Mom, the delivery is Uncle’s. I’m going to school now."
Ji Anning went downstairs, greeted Yang Yufang, and made her way straight to the front door. She had classes in the morning, and even if she took a taxi now, she would probably still be late.
Once outside, she ran towards the intersection, trying to catch a taxi so as not to miss her class.
She glanced at her watch while running.
Suddenly, a shiny black car sped up to her position at lightning speed, swerved sharply less than two meters from her, and screeched to a halt.
The car barricaded the road, blocking Ji Anning’s path.
Her steps halted in shock as she recognized the car, it was Ji Chicheng’s Maserati.
As she wondered about Ji Chicheng’s intentions for stopping the car there, the man got out and quickly walked towards her.
Ji Anning stared, confused and slightly scared, not knowing what Ji Chicheng intended to do, "Unc... Uncle..."
As Ji Chicheng approached, she instinctively backed away.
"Ah..."
Ji Chicheng reached Ji Anning, said nothing, grabbed her arm, and effortlessly dragged her to his car, opening the passenger-side door.
Without giving Ji Anning any chance to resist or ask questions, he promptly stuffed her into the car and closed the door.
