Chapter 23: Strange Thing

Most male cultivators at the top level had wives, in fact they had many wives.

Female cultivators were different, very few had spouses since they were mortal.

They naturally had a different outlook.

Usually they were filled with pride and considered no man worthy of them.

The Eternal Ice Queen was definitely one who had such thoughts.

Plus that she was extremely talented and her cultivation advanced very quickly from the time she was mortal to reaching the peak of cultivation, her pride was naturally much greater.

Even being wooed could make her very angry.

His words at the time might have been taken by her as a malicious intention to seduce her, which made her think he had such desires for her.

With how much she looked down on the relationship between men and women, it was predictable how she looked at him.

It was just that, he did have such intentions.

He was curious from the moment he saw her, a very cold woman coupled with possessing peak strength, he was curious about her reactions if she was teased continuously.

Unfortunately, it was not easy to approach her. She immediately became angry when his intentions were discovered.

This sometimes made him wonder if women of this level could be conquered.

He had enough experience approaching the strongest women in their world who seemed unapproachable, but he managed to get them in the end.

Although this one was at too high a level, he thought there was still a chance.

"Hmph!" The woman snorted coldly in response to his congratulations.

She even immediately turned around as if she saw an intruder.

Asher smiled wryly. She was too much of a loner that even if they didn’t have any problems, talking to her was still something very difficult.

"By the way Queen, my artifact will be finished soon. If that’s done, I wouldn’t mind helping you enter the Foreign Ice World," Asher said before she took a step.

He would start by offering her the help she needed.

For this she had asked a few other Dao Progenitors for help but had been refused.

They might have been a bit worried or the pay wasn’t enough, but he would give her the help for free.

Hearing his words, the woman instantly looked back.

She narrowed her eyes.

"Tell me what you want?" she said in response.

At least she responded, which made Asher quite happy.

"I won’t ask for anything strange or excessive. You can give me what you can afford to give me after I help you," he replied.

He could have said he would give her the favor for free, but if he did that, his intentions would be too obvious.

Eternal Ice Queen, she would most likely get even more annoyed with him.

After hearing his reply, she looked at him deeply.

"Do you want to use this opportunity to play a trick on me?" she asked, showing distrust of his kindness.

Asher smiled wryly, shaking his head helplessly.

"Queen, I don’t think you need to think too much about my intentions. All you need to know is that I will help you," he said.

"Hmph!" The woman snorted coldly again and her gaze emitted an extremely frightening icy power.

Suddenly, the area he was in was enclosed by an enormous ball of ice, larger than a Great Universe.

He was actually sealed by that ice and with only a weak avatar, he naturally wouldn’t be able to get out.

This avatar would also be unable to absorb void energy if sealed within that ice. It might not even be able to destroy itself.

Of course, just one avatar, even if it was tortured mercilessly, it would not affect him who had millions of avatars so much.

At most, he only felt like there were tiny ants walking on his toes.

The Eternal Ice Queen didn’t torture it either, just sealed it away as punishment.

"I’ll wait until your artifact is finished. If you dare to ask for more, we will fight it out," she said before flying away and disappearing from Asher’s sight.

Despite being sealed, hearing her reply made him smile slightly. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

As he had expected, she actually accepted his offer of help because there was no doubt that she needed this help. It had been a long time since the woman had a great desire to enter the Foreign Ice World.

Time passed quietly. Unnoticed, 250 trillion years had passed.

The Sacred Silk Realm had not undergone so many changes.

The few events that happened were that the Sky Fairy Ancestor finally managed to break through to the 3rd Stage of the Great Paragon, which made many people jealous while her race grew bigger and bigger.

The True Flame Emperor who had already begun to be able to form a Half-Void Body hadn’t progressed much until now judging from his avatar who remained in the True Flame Empire.

The Giant Ancestor might be like that too.

To truly become a 1st Stage False Void Master, it was a very long process except for those who managed to forcefully break through so that the process was completed in no time.

"Mingxue still hasn’t broken through..." Asher was thinking more about his own disciple who, until now, had yet to advance her Dao of Life to the 3rd Stage.

Instead, it was her Dao of Space and Dao of Time that had made significant progress.

She managed to advance both Daos to the 1st Stage of the Great Paragon so that by relying on them, she could almost move freely.

Today, she came to see him, looking like she was in deep thought, which was uncharacteristic.

"Is there a problem in your cultivation?" Asher asked her, feeling strange because it was rare for her to show such an expression.

"Master, it’s not about my cultivation. Just now, while exploring my Great Universe, I discovered something that puzzled me a lot," the woman replied.

"Ohh, what could confuse you in the Great Universe that you’ve almost mastered?" Asher showed an interested expression at her answer.

"That mysterious dimension that appeared in the space tear... I originally sent my avatar to enter, but then I heard an extremely terrifying roar. It destroyed my avatar outright and even shook the souls of all my avatars including those in the Sacred Silk Realm." Yi Mingxue explained, which made Asher’s eyes flicker.

’Are there any Void Monsters locked up in her Great Universe?’ He wondered but then knitted his brows.

’No, no, there shouldn’t be. After all, I once took a peek at that Great Universe and didn’t find anything on the Void Level.’

In some Great Universes, there were indeed True Void Monsters or above that were sealed by top-tier cultivators in an independent space.

They sometimes did discard the Void Monsters they captured because they deemed them useless.

When such monsters are sealed and thrown into a Great Universe, it can help the cultivators in that Great Universe train.

Of course, for such a monster to be able to shake all of Yi Mingxue’s souls with just its roar, it meant that it was an extremely powerful monster.

"You wait there. Do not enter that place again. I will send my avatar to your Great Universe," Asher said after a moment of silence.

He split his body into two in front of Yi Mingxue and the two’s bodies immediately leapt into the void.

Yi Mingxue’s Great Universe was still in the vicinity of the Sacred Silk Realm although from an ordinary cultivator’s point of view, it was too far away, yet he could get there within a few days with his weak avatar’s top speed.

Yi Mingxue nodded at his words.

She also didn’t dare anymore, worried that something really bad would happen.

"Ohhh, there are guests..." Asher said not long after.

"Guests?" Yi Mingxue was slightly surprised.

She looked up and then found a man and a woman.

The man looked to be in his 30s with red hair while the woman still looked to be in her 20s, wearing an elegant red dress.

Yi Mingxue was slightly surprised when she saw them.

They were the True Flame Emperor and True Flame Princess.

The two landed right in front of his palace.

Even more surprisingly the True Flame Emperor asked one of the servants in front of the palace if the owner of this palace was inside.

He asked the servant to send a message that he wanted to visit.

In the lives of Cultivators, this was a very gracious way of visiting where the visitor made himself inferior.

Although Yi Mingxue was already an Emperor, other Emperors would not normally act like that. Even 3rd Stage Great Paragons didn’t really maintain hospitality in front of an Emperor.

Yi Mingxue naturally felt strange, she looked at her teacher.

The latter motioned for them to be allowed to enter.

Soon after, the servant who spoke with them invited them to enter the palace.

They entered the palace, looking cautious.

Their demeanor was similar to that of the Giant Ancestor when they came to the palace, occasionally gazing around as if curious.

Quickly, they found Asher sitting on a chair with Yi Mingxue standing beside him.

A scene like this would definitely shock many people because the man sitting on the chair was merely a Paragon.

Even if his strength was unfathomable and he was her teacher, Yi Mingxue was still an Emperor, the topmost being in the Sacred Silk Realm.

"Your Majesty..." Whether it was the True Flame Emperor or his daughter, both saluted Asher the moment they arrived in front of him.

This made Yi Mingxue suspicious that they already knew about her teacher like the Giant Ancestor.

Asher himself didn’t find it strange.

Having lived hundreds of trillions in a much more powerful Universe, the True Flame Emperor had likely already heard of his title and story as the most recent the Dao Progenitor.

Even if he hadn’t seen the Night Sky Dao Progenitor’s face, he would have been certain that he was the same person as the Night Sky Paragon.

This was because there were too many similar traits and only a Dao Progenitor could unleash the power of a 2nd Stage Great Paragon as a Paragon.

"Is there something?" He asked the Emperor.

He should have known about him long enough, but since they were not familiar to begin with and had no special relationship, there was no way he would shamelessly come just to chat with him unless he really had important business.

Even to ask for advice, it was already too late for him and he couldn’t give him any advice anymore since he had already seen a stronger world.

His cultivation affairs would depend on himself.
