Chapter 22: Development

The commotion and fighting in the Sacred Silk Palace even continued outside.

Some Great Paragons who happened to obtain extraordinary treasures were pursued by other Great Paragons.

One naturally couldn’t hope about peace with treasures in hand.

Asher only cared about his disciple’s cultivation, so he only watched for a while.

After that, he went to the palace courtyard, approaching Tree Father who was in its small form.

It still looked the same as last time, having lush golden leaves but only too small for a tree.

"Okay!" Asher aimed the bottle hole in his hand at the tree.

Red water then flowed out, falling onto the tree.

The bottle was small, so the water seemed to be limited, but it kept flowing out.

"Yeah, this is what the tree needs, water..." Asher said with a faint smile.

In order not to have to keep holding the bottle, he placed it on a small piece of wood in a lying position so that the water continued to flow out.

The leaves on top of the actual asset produced a phenomenon on the roots below the Sacred Silk Realm.

From those roots, there was suddenly red water flowing out and some fell down.

No one knew where the red water came from, but people who saw it found that it was extraordinary. Coming into contact with the water made them feel extremely refreshed, as if their souls and minds were being washed clean.

Afterwards, they found that they could cultivate more calmly.

This effect was also felt by the Sky Fairy who were closest to the water.

The benefits they found were even greater.

Only, there was a problem that was actually bothering the people in the Lower Realms.

When the red water was absorbed in their land, the trees suddenly grew huge in an instant. They even later gained intelligence that allowed them to cultivate.

Their strength was not small either. After 1 million years, they began to form colonies, and drove humans away because they wanted the world to be just for them.

Only, even though 1 million years had passed, the fight in the Sacred Silk Palace didn’t seem to be over because the palace hadn’t disappeared.

It was longer than the last time.

Other than Yi Mingxue, there was one 2nd Stage Great Paragon who managed to break through to the 3rd Stage in these 1 million years.

That Great Paragon even managed to obtain a Supreme Weapon that instantly increased his status.

In addition, the True Flame Emperor had apparently also obtained a new Supreme Weapon, the type with the Dao of the Sun. As such, he had Supreme Weapons on both of his Daos, which increased his power even further.

After 1.5 million years, only then did the Sacred Silk Palace disappear.

However, that didn’t make the Sacred Silk Realm peaceful. The fighting outside only became fiercer, destroying small country after small country.

Those who obtained treasures truly could not rest in peace.

"Mm..." Asher finally saw Yi Mingxue return home.

She had come home early, looking as she usually did with a kimono dress and her hair neatly put up in a bun.

Her aura was calm, but if you observed her figure, you would find that she seemed to be more at one with the world.

This is the effect of understanding the Dao as a whole.

Being within the Great Universe, she had essentially reached the limit.

Advancing her Dao to the level of void is something very difficult and in fact all those who have reached the limit of the Dao in the Greater Universe, will feel like they are already at the peak, unable to advance any further.

This is because of how far away the Dao at the void level is from them.

If they want to grow stronger, they can only think about understanding other Daos.

Of course, those with more insight knew that they could build a Half-Void Body that would bring them closer to the Dao at the Void Level.

Yi Mingxue walked over to Asher, saluting him.

Asher observed her, nodding in satisfaction.

"Looks like you’ve gotten a lot of things in that palace," he said.

"Mm, I got an Supreme Weapon, but I found my original sword is still better, so I didn’t use it. I also gained some insight into building a Half-Void Body in the Dao of Destruction and the Dao of Life," the woman replied.

"The more insights others have, the better it is. That way, you’ll get more inspiration in building the Half-Void Body," Asher said.

For Dao Cultivators, they had to rely on themselves. Other people’s insights can only act as helpers to find inspiration.

"However, for your foundation to be better, you should raise your Dao of Life to the peak first," he continued.

"I’m only one step away, but I’m not sure when I’ll succeed," Yi Mingxue replied in a low voice.

Raising the second Dao to the same level as the first, the difficulty level was much higher.

"Visit the roots below often," Asher replied. "There, you might succeed..."

"Mm..." Yi Mingxue nodded slowly.

"You should rest first, sleep for a while with all your avatars," Asher said.

"Yes..." Yi Mingxue continued to nod.

When Asher waved his hand, the woman immediately stepped away to her bedroom, occasionally looking at her teacher where she sometimes pressed her lips together.

Meanwhile, Asher gazed outside the Sacred Silk Realm.

At this moment, there were two red lights flying quickly out of the Sacred Silk Realm, heading towards the much larger Great Universe at high speed.

"They finally got their chance," Asher said.

Within each of those red lights, he saw the figures of the Giant Ancestor and the True Flame Emperor.

The True Flame Emperor only sent his avatar while the Giant Ancestor left with his real body as he had no avatar at all.

As far as he observed, both of them had managed to build a Half-Void Body but had not managed to maintain it.

They could use the Half-Void Body in a short period of time, about half a second.

In other words, within half a second, they became a 1st Stage False Void Master.

This was also quite extraordinary because with it, they were able to kill other 3rd Stage Great Paragons no matter if they were Emperors or not. Even a 1st Stage False Void Master like a Red Giant Beast that relied on his bloodline would also suffer under their attacks within half a second.

That was why they had gotten the chance to go to another Great Universe.

There, they could practically develop better.

Asher himself planned to take Yi Mingxue there if she had already raised her Dao of Life to the peak.

"Really!"

He suddenly revealed a shocked expression, yet this was not because of something in the Sacred Silk Realm. This was because of something in the Infinite Void.

Perhaps it always seemed calm, but sometimes there was a huge commotion.

Far away from the Sacred Silk Realm and his native Great Universe, there was his avatar sleeping in an Ordinary Great Universe.

The avatar woke up and jumped out of that Great Universe, staring far ahead where he saw a seemingly boundless expanse of ice, the result of the cold aura that froze the Void.

That expanse of ice pressed down on a golden-colored Gorilla Monster with an enormous body, possessing a pair of hands that seemed to be able to crush the Great Universe with a single fist.

Even his aura was so mighty, yet he was helpless in front of that huge ice.

There were even ten ice gorillas of exactly the same shape and size as him, ganging up on him so hard that blood came out of his mouth and nose.

"He’s going to die..." Asher said as he saw several enormous ice spears stabbing into the gorilla’s back, weakening its life force.

That gorilla was a Progenitor Monster. Although he had average strength and thus was considered weak among the Progenitors, he was still a Progenitor.

Any Universe Void Master would have to run in front of him.

"Ahhh... Eternal Ice Queen, there will be a day when we, the Void Monsters, will eat all of you Cultivators..." The gorilla screamed one last time before dying as his Life Core shattered.

He then froze into an ice sculpture.

As the surrounding ice disappeared, a slender, pale white hand appeared, grabbing the enormous gorilla ice sculpture.

Surprisingly, the hand easily grabbed it before moving it elsewhere so that the gorilla ice sculpture disappeared.

"What are you looking at?" Asher suddenly heard a very cold voice in the distance even though no figure appeared.

The voice was clearly pointed at him since he was the only person around.

There was actually a female figure in the battle area. It was just that she was hard to see because she was covered in a faint white mist.

Clearly, her boundless aura could be felt, an aura that could frighten the Progenitors.

Of course, it was difficult to hide from Asher’s sight for anyone.

Even if he was only a weak avatar, his eyes could see through almost anything in the void.

Behind the mist, there was a woman in her 30s wearing an extremely luxurious white dress with embroidery made of gems, covering her tall and graceful figure.

Her face was so beautiful with pale white skin, instantly making people think there was no one more beautiful than her because of how perfect her face was.

Her lips were rosy red with a faint hint of redness on both cheeks.

She had a sharp nose that perfectly matched the oval shape of her face while her blue eyes were cold and indifferent.

One would not dare to look directly into her eyes as it could freeze their heart.

Her hair was light blue in color, long to reach her thighs and she wore a silver crown covered by golden diamonds that endlessly emitted a piercing light.

She was of course the Eternal Ice Queen, one of the Seven Dao Progenitors with the Eternal Ice Dao.

Each Progenitor had their own merits and this one by relying on her ice power had the most powerful defense making her the most difficult to harm.

Furthermore, she had the coldest nature. One could not think about living peacefully if hostile to her.

At this moment, her eyes stared coldly at Asher.

The latter kept a casual attitude by continuing to smile.

"Queen, my avatar happened to be sleeping here and I felt your aura so I came out to see... Congratulations on killing a Progenitor Monster," he told her in a soft tone.

This woman was colder to him than the others. She even questioned why he saw her just because he saw her.

Of course, this was because there was a problem between them.

Back then, not long after he became a Dao Progenitor, in front of many people, he asked her if it was possible for a woman like her who had lived a long time and reached the peak of cultivation life to accept a man as her husband.
